Aside from their delicious desserts, the bingsu also serves coffee in different varieties. As you know, Koreans love their coffee! So while killing time a couple of weeks ago before the movie, we tried their coffee and of course to ward off the Sunday afternoon sleepiness 128513
I got their mocha whiles hubby got the white mocha. We both got them iced. Mine needed a lot of sugar as it was served plain but the white mocha was just right. The inside of the cafe was a bit warm so we stayed outside.
A pretty chill place to enjoy your coffee but I hope they would open more coffee shops in commerce though.

My family and I are currently into bingsus so yaaaaay for The Bingsu. I decided to order something that isn't fruity - Choco Brownie Bingsu. It's not too sweet and the serving is quite big. We will definitely come back. 128077🏼

Strawberry bingsu yay! I love strawberries but hubby doesn't so we don't really order it but this time I was with my sister and we shared an order of strawberry and an order of mango cheese 128522
It was my sister's first time to try bingsu and she loved it! The strawberry was really so nice and refreshing, not too tart and not too sweet! The mango cheese was delish as usual.
Less one star though cos even though the staff was very kind and attentive, they were (literally) belting out opm hits when they're not serving or whatever. As in they made a playlist for themselves? Dba Dapat K-pop Ang tugtog? Ahaha just a bit distracting cos feel Na feel talaga Nila and it's not the time nor place to be doing that.

Can't leave commercenter without having some bingsu 128513 saw that they had melon bingsu so decided to try that out. Hubby doesn't eat melon (gasp!) so he got an injeolmi toast for himself.
The bingsu was refreshing but I wish they could've used the local melon instead of honeydew. This was a bit tough and wasn't too sweet.
The injeolmi toast was just okay too. Maybe they really couldn't replicate the giant bread they use in Korea.
Planning to try the bulgogi croissant next time 128522

Birthday bingsu for the birthday boy 128522 this place used to be called cafe seolhwa bingsu, I wonder what happened? Anyway, they offer the same bingsu menu plus a lot of their stuff. Saw that they had mandu (giant dumplings) so we decided to try that along with our mango cheese bingsu.
Been a while since we've tried another bingsu place aside from ice flower and this being café seolhwa before, the bingsu was excellent as expected 128077🏼 super fine ice, generous servings of mango and cheesecake! The mandu arrived next and though it was similar to what we had in Korea, this was a bit too oily IMO.
They have melon bingsu now! Hubby doesn't like melon (weirdo) so I'll probably try that by myself next time 128513

I went there on my own today while waiting for a movie. The place is pretty quiet and spacious. The seating was colorful and comfy. It seems like a good place place to hang out and relax.

I ordered the mango and cheese bingsoo. The single order was 220php. A bit pricey but I think it's alright since you could probably share their single orders.

The shaved ice was perfect, and the nuts and ice cream were a nice touch. I really like mangoes but the ones in my order weren't that sweet. I guess it's not something they can help, but I think I'd have liked the dish better if it were a bit sweeter.

Overall, I think the place was nice and I'd probably go back to try their drinks and other menu items.

Choco Brownie Bingsu 128525 Perfect snack for this hot, hot, HOT weather! 128293 I expected that to be sweet but it was surprisingly not. It was smooth and glided nicely on one's palate. I preferred the Mango Cheese Bingsu (I think that's the name of it) which was just simply refreshing. A bit odd at first coz of the cheese but it worked well. 128076

Need to beat the summer heat? If you can't go to the beach, just head to "The Bingsu."

I got Brownie Bing Su - it has chocolate milk snow + chocolate brownies + Choco Ice Cream + Koko Crunch + almonds and Pistachio nuts.

This order is already good for two! One word to describe it..."delicious."

Will come back again sooon! 128526

Long overdue review 128517 This picture was from when they used to call themselves Cafe Seolhwa. But i was told that now they are no longer affiliated with the group and have split off while still retaining the same menu. Confused? A bit. And they're now called The Bingsu? I wish they had something more creative in mind... but oh well 128517

Anyway, assuming they kept the same menu, Cafe Seolhwa (and spin-offs) have the best matcha and berry bingsus i've tried. I've had those flavors in a couple other cafe's but Cafe Seolhwa does it best. Good enough to keep me coming back for more. Ice literally as soft as snow, milky, and a heaping serving. The Korean toasts are something to look for as well as their blueberry shake.

To counter the inevitable brain freeze you'll get from the bingsu, check out the tteokpokki. That's spicy Korean rice cake! But do be warned, they serve theirs EXTREMELY spicy by default!!! 128293128293128293

Went to this cafe to further satisfy my curiosity over bingsus128517 We've ordered single serving of the following: Green Tea bingsu shown on pic (P210) Choco Brownie bingsu (P250), Mango Cheese bingsu (P240) and Coffee Jelly bingsu (P270).

Green Tea bingsu was really good. I definitely enjoyed the red bean, mochi bits, almonds & of course the matcha shaved ice. The ingredients blend together really well imo.

I also liked the Choco Brownie & Coffee Jelly bingsus. Mango Cheese was also very good though it's my least favorite because the shaved ice only tasted like milk127868 Plus I have a bias over any chocolate or green tea-red bean desserts🙃

The Choco Brownie & Mango Cheese bingsus were served within 10mins, Coffee Jelly took 15mins, while Green Tea bingsu took 25mins to be served. To be fair to this cafe, I was informed during order placing that green tea would really take long to be served. They suggested me to order something else if waiting time would be an issue.

This Korean Dessert Cafe was formerly branded as Cafe Seolhwa. According to Ate Cashier, the owner separated from Cafe Seolhwa that's why this cafe was renamed as "The Bingsu". I was also told that all ingredients are imported from Korea. Personally, I didn't taste any difference with the bingsu/shaved ice from this cafe and that of Cafe Seolhwa's.

Ambience is very nice & cozy 128522

very nice ice shaving. lots of sweet local fresh mangoes. underneath the ice there are still more mangoes. the ice is the fine type. the mangoes are just right, not too soft/overripe.

friendly staff, cool air conditioning

FTW. definitely going back for more
