It was our second visit here at the cafe hyatt, the first one was lunch time so now we opted for the dinner buffet. 128522

They have less varities of food compared to other buffets. If I remember correctly, they have appetizer station, Italian Station, Carving Station, Japanese Station, Chinese Station, Seafood Station, Filipino(?) not sure but I saw some lechon kawali 128517, and the dessert station.

Appetizers 🥗🥙🧀🥐🥖
- they have ready made salad, but you can also opt to make your own. There were also quite a few cold cuts, cheese and breads. Tried some of them and they were good. ♥️

- they also have fruits on one side. They were fresh and my parenta loved it. 127817127824127822127818127816

Italian station 127829127837🧀
- requested for truffle pasta and it was quite deliciou128522. The pizza was also very good as bf was able to finish half of a whole pizza while eating rice 128517128561

Carving station 127830🥓
- they know their meat 128076🏻♥️. Everything on this station was perfection. They had ribe eye, medium rare steak, ribs etc.. There’s also a sisig corner where you can ask them to cook a chicken, pork or fish sisig.

Japanese station 127843127844127857
- they have a selection of sashimi, maki and tempura. I wasn’t able to try those except for the tempura. 128522

Chinese station 127831127841127842
- this is where you’ll find the rice, plain and fried, dumplings, pecking duck, pecking duck wrap etc.. I LOVED their pecking duck wrap 128522128523,

Seafood and Filipino station 🦐🦂🦀128032
- wasn’t able to try these but it looked good 128522

Dessert station 127856127846127854127853
- they had cheesecake, chocolate cake, apple pie and some mini cakes like red velvet, coconut something 128517, some brownie-like cake and the one with mousse-type. They also have soft-serve ice cream, halo halo station, mango sago and some knick knacks with chocolates (chocolate bark, red velvet praline etc.)128525♥️

I'm giving this place 5 stars for the quality of the food, ambience and service 128522 tried this place out with my family a couple of weeks ago and luckily, we were able to catch the last day of their Lobster Thursdays series!
Had reservations for lunch and they start promptly at 12. There are several stations - pasta, pizza and risotto, carving and churrasco, Japanese, Chinese, Filipino, salad, cold cuts and cheese and of course dessert. The place and spread is quite big, they even provide trays so you can carry more stuff back to your table 128514
I indulged in the fresh salad, cheeses and bread. Funny though, you've to ask for the cheese as they are not on display. The different prepared dishes were all good and the pasta station made me a couple of delicious plates, they didn't scrimp on the ingredients!
Lobster being the specialty, people were hovering around that station all the time and I almost gave up! They keep the Lobster in the back so it's not easily accessible to the chefs when it runs out. I think I was on my third attempt when the manager noticed and personally assisted me with my order 128077 was really keen on trying the different types of butter that they had like lemon orange, chili butter and seaweed butter.
The lobsters finally arrived! They were rock lobsters like the ones served at 7 corners. The manager also profusely apologized and even got us a couple of slices of their steamboat wagyu (which I didn't like) but I really did appreciate her personal effort.
Great spread overall, the tables are placed far enough from each other that you have privacy, servers are polite and attentive. Will definitely go back!

FIRST is the ambience: I like The Café's wide and high ceiling spaces. Very neat and well structured.

The food is superb, especially the dimsum section. They have some of the best tasting dumplings -- really soft and juicy from the inside.

The dessert section has not much variants to offer though, but the dessert items are great, still!

I've been meaning to go here for quite some time now, but it was only last week when our visit to Hyatt finally pushed through. The place was really pretty, the food station set-up was vast and easy to navigate, while the service was really nice too - the servers were attentive to our needs. 127800

Food stations (at least the ones I can remember lol):
-Italian: This one is the first station you'll see when you come in the non-casino entrance. They have the usual pizza and pasta here. I liked their pasta (asked them to mix the red and white sauce lolol), and it was quite good! Their all-meat pizza is delicious too. I spotted a beef pie in this area too but I was already full to the brim when I did, so I didn't get to try it out, haha. ;www;
-Steak: Forgot what the meat that was on display, but they had one. It was alright, although a bit dry. They also have beef tenderloin and lamb as well. It's also in this station where they had enchiladas on display, and I really liked it.
-Chinese: Fresh dimsum, chicken feet, siomai, hakaw, they have it. I loved their siomai.
-Noodles: You can ask them to make you noodles in this station, laksa, chicken soup, etc.
-Japanese: You can ask them to make you gyudon and other Japanese dishes for you. They had several sushi on display as well.
-Fried: Don't know what it's called but here you can have fish tacos, fries, and my favorite, their sour cream chicken. The sour cream chicken was yummy especially when you pour gravy on it - what I liked most about it is because it's boneless! Yaaas chicken fillet/fingers/nuggets = best chicken lolol
-Cheese: They have a number of cheese on display, and some cold cuts too. Nearby there's also different types of bread.
-Dessert: I was disheartened when I didn't see an ice cream display, but other than that, they have a large spread for dessert. I liked their chocolate truffle, and of course, the chocolate fountain too! They also have doughnuts here and other goodies. I also liked that there's a milkshake station here too. You can also make your own halo-halo.128512

We were quite satisfied with our experience, and if we end up swinging by COD, we might just end up eating here again.

It's been a while since I last dined here! So much has changed. Food selection has improved thoroughly and service much much better.

Their steak is quite oily for me, they didnt even have peppercorn sauce or red wine sauce. Its in the freezer pa daw kasi. But then they have the bulgogi beef slices which I really love cause they were very tasty and not oily.

They have DIY tacos and french fries. Just try the tacos. The pasta section's staff are very very friendly and quick to attend to my needs. I asked for white sauce based pasta and they even served it to my table. Before that I was inquiring about risotto and they told me thats only available during weekends, but later on as I was getting food for the third time one of their staff offered to cook risotto for me so I immediately said yes! Risotto was good, loved how it tasted although super kabusog even if few lang yung serving.

Didnt bother with the Chinese section because I eat Chinese food all the time. I tried their makis and was pretty satisfied even with the salmon sashimi. I asked for a california temaki and they gave me two made on the spot! Yay! So good.

They have a cute milkshake station, but may I just warn you that the milkshakes are too sweet! Desserts are okay, recommending the panna cotta and and creme brulee.

For the rate, it's pretty much okay, food isn't really that much but pwede na!

Here's my past review for reference

For a really large space you would expect a wide selection of dishes. It is as if they've curated what's best and they put it in their buffet area.

Service is good and food is so-so. Love that they help you make your salad, and that their dessert bar is worth the visit.

Their truffle fries don't even taste like truffle fries. But other than that the others are okay.

Went here twice already and it's always the same. Cant recommend it for dining with kids because the casino is literally beside it and you can see people playing.

Had a delightful lunch here today and most of what I ate were good.

They have Italian, American, Japanese, Chinese and Filipino cuisine.

The choices are limited per cuisine but it will get you through.

You can even ask them to bake their scallops with cheese and butter over at the seafood section.

Below is a shortlist of the items I liked:
-Truffle Cream Pasta
-Carbonara Pizza
-Heated Ceasar Salad
-Roast Beef
-Tempura
-Mango Creme Brulee
-Milk Chocolate Almond Coin
-White Chocolate Truffles

Plus, you get 25% off if you pay using a Metrobank Creditcard.

One word: WAGYU! My review is done and now I'm out. Haha.

I'm impressed with the great interiors of the place, and the attentiveness of the staffs. Everyone is accommodating and this chef Jess at the Italian sector is very pretty and nice.

Food wise, I must admit that the selection is very limited. With only a small counter for Japanese food though it has the sashimi counter for your japanese needs. They have peking duck too on another small counter, while having another one for cold cuts, cheese, grilled meat, italian, desserts and Thai. Honestly, I'd prefer the food selection at other buffets though. Don't get me wrong, everything is tasty but for a japanese lover like me, I always prefer a big boat of maki and sushi food but they failed that one. But one notable food here is their generous Wagyu beef. Oh so good! I like it medium rare with the mushroom sauce and there you have a deal breaker. Everything is carefully cooked and prepared by the chefs too which means you are ensured that they're all served fresh and in good quality. So that's another plus for me.

For 1800+ for lunch, this worth to giving a try sometime especially if you're within the area or if you're staying over at the hotel.

The buffet of The Cafe Hyatt City of Dreams is totally worth the price, a really value for the money I can say. When you're looking for a place that is not so mainstream with good food and cooking in an open kitchen, this place is a very good one.

It's located at the Ground Floor of The Hyatt City of Dreams Manila. When speaking of the place, it is so accessible and easy to find. Inside the Cafe, I'm overwhelmed with the cozy ambiance, spacious, and with the buffet set up. They have mouthwatering food stations namely The Italian, The Grill and Griddle, The Deli, The Asian, The Comfort and Favorites, and The Pastry.

The food, unlike other buffet, they serve it freshly from the chefs hand. With live culinary, I observe that they're just cooking or serving right amount of food so you'll be eating them hot on your table. The Cafe is known for what they call The Beast, it is the Mayura Wagyu Beef. In 1st bite, I've wanted the 2nd to the nth right away. You'll taste how it undergone meticulous marinating to roasting. Their pizza is kept warm and so enticing to eat. Their Sashimis are fresh, especially the Tuna Sashimi because they'll cut it infront of you. The dimsums are Binondo-taste-like. All the Pastries keep me coming back for more. Overall it was 10/10 for all the food.

Their friendly and approachable Chefs and Staffs are bonus. :) We'll definitely coming back!

Total bill for dinner for 2 people with taxes - P 3518.61
Total money we paid - P 18.61.

Thanks to my tita's complimentary City of Dreams voucher which she gave us, I and my son enjoyed the cheapest, fanciest dinner we've ever had to pay for. We dined here April 2015. So not sure if their prices changed already.

Loved all the seafood available. I feasted on super fresh prawns and crabs, and their steak. Didn't try the other dishes as I don't like mixing my food. My son ate a lot of pizza and pasta. I liked their pasta station, I was able to drizzle a little pesto on my shrimps. I had them de-shell my shrimps which they did.

Desserts were amazing. You know they use good chocolate, not the Níu kind of dessert. Loved that they had hazelnuts too which I of course added to my crepe. Those pistachio balls were so good.

My son was injured the time we went here and the hotel provided us with a wheelchair and attendant to bring us to the restaurant and back. I loved that they offered to wheel him when he needed to go to the banyo, assisted him with whatever food he wanted. No sungit at all from them. I didn't expect to like it here as I'm not a fan of buffets. We just came in here to use the vouchers and left genuinely happy with our experience here.

What I didn't like was the long walk compared to if we went on foot. Plus we had to make a detour because my son is a minor and we can't pass through the casino floor. The indoor air conditioned restaurant row reeked of cigarette smoke and had smokers in the hallway which is the reason we're never dining in any of the restaurants here. I'm glad we didn't smell that in the cafe.

Buffet for breakfast and lunch? Don’t Judge. 128129🏻

Yes, we had buffet lunch and buffet breakfast on the next day. (hehe) It was really a wonderful and fulfilling experience. Their buffet contains a wide range of dishes, they have different stations, to offer Japanese, Italian, American, French and Asian cuisine.

Let us first explore what’s in their lunch buffet. I’d like to give you some hints on which to choose first, get a clam chowder in the The Beef station, or go crazy over laksa or any noodles of your choice in the Noodle station, and while you’re at it, grab some slices of pork belly too. If you’re a fan of sushi and sashimi, you can stay at the Jap area for as long as you like and eat their sumptuous fish.

I’d like to highlight the best part of the lunch buffet here in The Café, it is called “The Beast”. Why is it called The Beast, probably because it’s so huge that its leg alone can weigh up to 100 lbs. plus it’s a Mayura wagyu beef leg from South Australia. Did you know that Hyatt is the only hotel serving in Manila that serves the Mayura Station Wagyu beef from Australia?

The Mayura Station Wagyu Beef Leg undergoes a 72-hour marination process plus a 24-hour slow roast in the oven. The result is a delectable, tender, juicy and melt-in-the-mouth Wagyu beef steak with a unique and exquisite dining experience for everyone.

For the breakfast buffet, they offer extensive variety of dishes too. Don’t forget to make room desserts.

Oh and one more thing I like about here is that, they will cook your food first so not everything will go to waste and freshly cooked will be served to you.

As expected, the buffet spread was enormous... From porcetta, pizza, pasta, various yakitori, grilled lamb, salmon, shrimp, sushi, sashimi, cheeses, hams, cold cuts, dimsum, truffle fries, fresh crabs, shrimps, mussels... Whew! So much more and there's still the dessert spread! Definitely not for those on a diet... Worth every peso! 128522128055128077

This would be my post-oral revalida celebration. Although they may not be as extensive as the other buffets, I'd say they made up for it by giving really high quality dishes.

Dimaum was absolutely fresh and delicious, that type of dimsum that wasn't steamed over and over.

The dessert line for me though was the winner of the day. Everyone has to try their creme brulee!
