The closest thing I can get to authentic arabic food that is located in the south is food at Cafe Med.

I usually order their gyro plates but mom decided to get an entire platter of an assortment of meat with buttered briyani. Aaaaaah yes, the good life. I could feel my burger baby in my tummy tip his hat as a sign of thanks to the wonderful food we had that afternoon.

My sister ordered falafel and it was the first time I've seen a very PALE looking one. Unlike the ones in the middle east it was dry and rather salty. Hmm, they should really work on that. Their hummus serving got smaller and smaller over the years and I was definitely disappointed at how little we got considering the price we paid. We also ordered the kuskus and mom didn't finish it so, I had to down the whole thing. (not that I'm complaining) 128514

The crew was really nice and attentive. The place was jam packed! It's a good thing we still got a table.

Overall the experience was good, definitely coming back soon for more. *burp

Love the food in this resto! My all-time favorite is the moroccan fish fillet with biryani rice! We also tried their tuna gyro and kofta balls which are also good.

We had gyro platters and moussaka. Loved the chicken, tuna kebabs and grilled veggies. They were cooked just right, save for the beef. For the moussaka, well it was a nice surprise, like lasagna without the pasta and with veggies. Haha.

Love their grilled beef gyro and I put lots of their white garlic sauce in it. I order their grilled chicken when I want to eat healthier. :)

Cafe Mediterranean will always be my go to place when craving for Kebab and Yogurt Sauce! :) My staple order would be chicken Kebab, but for a change, I decided to try their Kofta Kebab or grilled seasoned ground beef. It was good that I had to order extra (buttered) rice. :) I love Cafe Med's yogurt sauce and that cream-cheese-like sauce served with my Kofta Kebab. :)

It always makes me happy to find at least one vegetarian friendly item in non-vegetarian restaurants, so you could imagine my excitement when I ate in Cafe Mediterranean and found the menu to be comprised of at least one third of vegetarian friendly food. We ordered the ratatouille, portobello burger, Greek salad and Mediterranean pizza (with half no anchovies for me and the rest for my family). The ratatouille wasn't at all like from the movie of the same name, it was more like a parmigiana, which was still okay. The Greek salad was pretty good, as was the pizza, but the portobello burger was slightly disappointing because it didn't taste at all like a burger because of the mushroom's sweetness. All in all though, it was an alright eating experience, and now I know of a vegetarian friendly place close to home!

I have always been loyal to Cyma when it comes to Mediterranean cuisine but this time I wanted to try a new one. Everytime I go to Cyma, I always pass by this restaurant but never really cared to try for some reason, which I don't know but I guess it's the loyalty to Cyma. 128516

Tried the Moroccan Lamb Stew (P475) with Moroccan Rice Pilaf. The lamb was delicious and soft but the best part was the rice. It was a perfect match for a stew.

Service was outstanding. When a customer raises a hand, they get frantic. Another thing I liked was that I don't need to follow up or even ask. They asked to refill the glass, they asked if I want the bill.. Yun haha

If I were to choose a place to eat at for the rest of my life, I'd probably choose CafeMed.

I had the Grilled Chicken with the Biryani Rice and we also ordered Hummus and pita.

If you grew up in an arab country like me, you'd probably eat everything on the plate. The salads and sides were great. My cousins didn't enjoy the food as much as me and my sisters did but yeah. It's an acquired taste I guess. 9786

Prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of the food plus the service is really good!

Falafel Gyro Plate. It was served w/ yogurt dip (this is good)and grilled veggies( bitin and its mostly bellpepper). The falafel was dry. I enjoyed more the falafel gyro that I ordered before ( see my previous post). Maybe its in the branch where I had my meal? I'm not entirely sure though. Lesson learned, will order a single gyro next time instead of the gyro plate

Ordered some Grilled Chicken Kebab with buttered rice fo dinner and i love it!! Tender chicken chunks and the serving was generous but a bit pricey P375 nett for single order. Staffs were friendly and accomodating. Cozy nice place to dine in.

I love their food! Something different than usual. For starters we have the hummus with pita bread. It's light and they blend well. I can eat only this with coffee and I will be good. For the main dish, we have the kofta burger and shish tabbouleh. The burger is a combination of lamb and beef. The burger is ok but the buns are good. The shish tabbouleh is grilled chicken with greek sidings/salad. The chicken is well seasoned and very tender and juicy. It's definitely one of the place that I will add to my fav resto.

Oh the cold weather outside is frightful. But the fire inside so delightful.

It's been so cold lately or is it just me? I jumped into the pool in the morning and the afternoon, and the temp did not change - AT ALL! By 9 pm I was cold and hungry. Figured to hit a place without a lotta peeps that had soup and fast service. My decision was good because this lentil soup was spot on. Soup was warm and delightful! Unfortunately, i still left feeling a bit cold. Man, this isn't my favorite season.

I think my first ever Greek food was from here. The couscous I ordered was a little weird... I was told it shouldn't taste like that. Nevertheless their lovely, cheesy moussaka was delicious!

The kebab craving is still on! Chicken to be exact! Hossein's was my first choice but when I went in, nobody seemed to want to attend to me, so I walked further down to Cafe med instead.

Lentils are supposed to make your cholesterol level go down. Figured after all that alcohol last night, soup is in good order. Twas some tasty soup i got there and i loved the buttery bread!

When my kebab came, the manager was right, it's quite flavorful and tasty. Nomnomnom. The Moroccan rice wasn't long grain and compared to hossein's, this was nothing. I should've taken the manager's advice and selected the buttered rice.

Overall, service was fast and food was delicious. Craving satisfied - for tonight!
