My fave place for a quick staycation! Obviously because the staff greeted us with a warm "Welcome back po!".... 128540128540128540128540

Very sulit and well maintained, you really don't feel like it's a boutique hotel... Plus it's very Eco friendly, apparent in the products they use and their little reminders all over the hotel... No water bottles, they have cute mason jars for water in your room... Very comfy bed, with lots of magazines (Cosmo, Candy, etc.)... The wifi doesn't reach inside the rooms, but is accessible in the common areas...

Small pool though, you can't swim laps there...127946

Went here to try their massage since my mom wanted to try it.

For Php 400 for a one hour massage(from 1-6pm), the price isn't that bad especially if it's a service in a hotel.

We got the shiatsu-swedish combo. The massage rooms were pretty nice and their facilities were new 128522 However, my mom and I both agreed that the massage was very mild. Like it didn't have much pressure to actually sooth aching muscles 128513 Maybe I could've asked for more pressure, but I probably want to try other spas instead.

Most eco-friendly hotel! I love everything about Cocoon 128525

We got a voucher from DealGrocer for a deluxe room at half-the-price. It was a really good deal!! The room is nice and lovely. The bathroom has character 128521 and the beds are huge and soft. The linens are top-notch and they use an inverter a/c so it was really meant for a staycation. Once I'm inside the room, nothing could really beckon me to go out... Except maybe the roof deck 128077

It's small but cozy. The real appeal of this place is when you're alone (or with SO), in the morning or at night, enjoying a smoke. (My only bone to pick with this hotel is that it's so green, you can only smoke in the balcony.) It's low enough that you can enjoy the view of the world below, and high enough to not hear the noise too. I didn't get to try the pool though.

The food is nothing special and also very limited. Their room service was quite satisfactory, though I'd appreciate it better if they brought the food in time. They had complimentary breakfasts but we never got to have it because we always woke up so late! Aaand too lazy to come up haha (that one time I did made me regret not having to take it everyday. Got so much on the menu I wanted to try!)

The drinks in the bar were okay--but it seemed to me that half the bartenders don't know what an old-fashioned is. Quality is average so if you want to get drunk on a much cheaper price, BYOB/BYOV/BYOW. 127866127864127863

Internet (LAN only) in the room is fast. Tip: install Connectify on your laptop if you have more than 1 device with you. Helps with all these LAN limitations.

Finally, there are enough cafes and spas around to keep you company. My favorite kebab place is also nearby so I loved how I can just go down and have sheesha when I wanted to :p Best staycation ever!!!

(I wouldn't pay for the room at full-price though. I hope there's another voucher in DealGrocer soon!)

Let me put it this way. THE BEST.

Other hotels in the area may be bery fancy but the service sucks! Cocoon offers a different experience which you can get from a upscale or exclusive resort!

Attended my friend's wedding reception here last Saturday. I didn't know there's a reception venue here. The place housed around 150-180 people. It was a pretty intimate event. Food was not bad too.

I just didn't like the fact that all the parking slots in the hotel building were reserved already and we had to look for parking around the area. Good thing it wasn't that hard, it was a Saturday anyway.

Our yearly Christmas staycation!=) we really like their beds=) plus the prices are very very reasonable!=) plus great location, super near Morato, you can walk there if you are up to it... We really just keep coming back to relax and get away from it all=)

I almost forgot to review about this well-loved hotel which is located in the heart of the metropolis. Known as the only eco-friendly boutique hotel, i must say this is a great find. When my mom celebrated her birthday here, she said it was relaxing. This sanctuary has a calm, nature ambiance. They served buffet breakfast which includes freshly picked veggies and herbs straight from their mini-garden.. Upon entering the hotel, you'll surely love their back-to-nature surroundings. Obviously, my mom enjoyed the day!128522128521127874

This is one of our fave places for a stay-cation. A stone's throw away from Morato, you have a world of culinary surprises at your disposal. They pride themselves to be a green hotel, which is a major plus... But they don't scrimp on what's important, like a great bed and bathtub=) their breakfast buffet has limited choices but they have a mean French toast!

Big rooms and even bigger bathrooms. It's home away from home. Very clean, comfortable beds, with free Internet access :)

I'm torn about this place. I don't think the experience deserves the moniker 'boutique hotel'. More like a 'business hotel with something extra'.

Dining al fresco on the roof deck, next to the pool with the changing lights is enjoyable and so is the breakfast. But don't expect the food to be on the level of the expectation raised by the fees for a stay.

Wifi is sufficiently good and the beds are large, really charge.

Good area with some nice coffee shops around but the overall experience is not worth 7k/night. The concept is great but that final touch making the difference is lacking. Save your money already and go to Abaca in Cebu.
