Last day to use your CBTL coupons for January. Buy one take one!!! 128513128588🏼

Back in college, almost every weekend,I would always always study here because of the free wifi and the place. Very quiet and not as crowded. Plus this was the only cbtl branch in the area during that time. Ever since I graduated, I haven't visited this place that often anymore but felt really good that when Ony and I visited, the barista recognized us. Or is it because of the name we always use? Hahaha 128518 They were all nice and very patient. Though we always get the same drink, we still ask a lot of questions about the other drinks whenever we order. Sometimes it's annoying na but I don't see traces of "anger" naman from them haha.

I got my usual, Matcha Green Tea Latte (extra extra hot please) and Ony tried the Double Chocolate Latte. For the not so matapang Green Tea, I go to CBTL. Their's is milky and creamy. And the fact that their default milk is non-fat is a plus for me. 128513 The Double Chocolate latte was good. Not too bitter/strong and not too sweet, as well. 128077🏼

You might say Sardine and Garlic Linguine again?! Sorry, but I just can’t resist the charm of this pasta. I can eat this when I’m bored, when I’m sad, when I’m happy or when I’m angry. You have to try it to believe it. 128517128517128517

Forgot to take a picture!!!
After lunch, my Tita like me who is addicted to caffeine needed our coffee fix so coffee bean was near us and had available seats so we decided to have coffee here.
I had double chocolate latte which I found way to sweet! Should have ordered my regular coffee but my wife insisted I try it, I'm guessing SHE really wanted to try it. We also ordered Oreo cheesecake and some other coffees. The cheesecake I heard was amazing.
There's no more smoking in coffee bean! For an ex smoker like me... Boo! Smokers have rights too! Sorry I'm weird!

We went to ATC yesterday to have hubby's documents authenticated. Since it was too early for me to go to the office, hubby asked if I want to eat first or if I want to have my daily coffee somewhere. Awww… such a sweetie! 128525128525128525

So we went to CBTL since I also wanted to have pasta that day. I ordered Spicy Tuna Linguine Pasta for me and Sardine & Garlic Linguine for hubby. When I was about to order my hot drink, server advised me that they don't serve hot drinks though I can still have frappe coffee. I asked her why I can order the cold drinks, but not my hot drink. She explained that it’s due to the drinking water level issue. I didn’t want to make a fuss so I just took their southern blend iced tea. Hubby’s a fan of pandesal asked for an extra ham and cheese wheat pandesal.

I tried my Spicy Tuna Linguine Pasta and I did not like the taste of it. I asked hubby if we can switch pasta since he’s a red sauce pasta lover. Luckily, hubby agreed! For someone who doesn’t like spicy food, he was able to finish the whole plate though beaded with sweat. Lol!

Sardine & Garlic Linguine - olive oil-based pasta with Spanish-style sardines and roasted garlic. Garnished with Parmesan cheese and parsley. This pasta is a bomb! Crunchy garlic, crunchy sardines, but not “malansa” with generous amount of Parmesan cheese. UGH! I so love my husband for letting me have his pasta! I can feel his jealous look.

Southern Blend Iced tea was so-so and it was a hide and seek game for their ham and cheese wheat pandesal. It was like “find the ham if you can”.

Will definitely come back here for their Sardine & Garlic Linguine.

I'm a regular here. I prefer the coffee here to Starbucks but this particular branch does not have its own bathroom and not enough power outlets.

Their chai latté is a good enough alternative to Toby's especially since it's more accessible (considering the number of branches that they have).

Chinese chicken salad was so yummy! Perfect flavor of asian dressing with the crunch from fried wanton and sliced almonds. I will definitely come back for more. 128077127860

I think this is the only coffee bean i've been to that has several power sockets available for customer use. Most cbtl locations doesn't have 'em or offers just 1.

Had an after dinner tea here after my monday date night with my man last night. It was my first time since I'm a Starbucks baby.

I ordered myself a Lemon Chamomile Tea and was taken a back when they said they can't make it into a latte :( I don't know I guess I was sanay with Starbucks giving everything you wanted :(

Anyway, I was offered a lemon square - I tried to look for other pastries they offered but at the time none seemed to appeal to me :( so I gave in and said yes to a lemon square. It tasted super and really lemony and not the artificial lemony. So that was 128077 but aside from that, 85 felt steep to me :(

I've asked my order to go, but they served it to me ala dine in, so I had to ask again to have it wrapped to go.

When I finally got my order in proper form, I realized they didn't serve their tea with honey... But 2 sachets of brown sugar fixed that for me.

Taste wise, I still prefer my Starbucks' Chamomile Tea than TCB&TL's Lemon Chamomile. 5 minutes of Starbucks' Chamomile Tea Bag in my cup and it'd be bursting with calming flavor. TCB&TL's Lemon Chamomile Tea Bag in my cup for the whole ride home from Alabang to Dasma Cavite, and all it tasted like was flavored hot water :( couldn't even taste the lemon!

So that was disappointing! I loved the interiors and the cheery staff, but I'll stick to being a Starbucks baby.

Ordered my faves -- sardines pasta, eggs ben and ensaymada for an early dinner treat with my sister-in-law.9786️ The pasta was great as usual, they didn't skimp on the sardines. The eggs ben, on the other hand, was a little bland and disappointing. The egg was not cooked to perfection and had a hard boiled-ish texture.. hence, -1 star!128513128522 Despite the minor setbacks, I'd still prefer CBTL over other coffee places in the Metro.

There's just something about CBTL that I truly love..It's the borderline between a chill, homey café to a legit on-the-go coffee places like Starbucks.. The food served are always spot on good and never seem to disappoint irregardless of the branch.

This time, instead of ordering our usuals (paninis, eggs ben and so on..), I decided to have my mango juice with some chicken pot pie. The filling was extra delicious, chunky chicken bits with vegetables and mushroom in cream sauce. So good that mom decided to take home 6 pies for the rest of the family to try.128514

The chocolate lava cake with caramel sauce was moist and delicious as well. A little too sweet for my liking but a bite or two wouldn't hurt!128522

CBTL is truly my favorite hang-out place post-shopping!128077

I got a bit jealous of EJ D's post on the eggs ben that i had to try it out for myself. I have no idea if it was the sunshine or the no crowd that got me giddy or that i'm home or that ibwas hungry but my visit to this branch with the late breakfast was UBER ENJOYABLE. Maybe it was one of those days. The hollandaise sauce was good, portion was just right and the egg wasn't runny even if it was supposed to be poached. (I like it that way) For P250 OK na. 128077
