Someone brought a few big boxes to the office today! Gone in under 5 minutes! These are too too good. Perfectly sweet and creamy. Who knew leche flan and macaroons are perfect together?!

After hearing mass at St. Pio of Pietrelcina Chapel, my friend and I decided to stay a bit to pray, and offer thanks for the blessings we received. Also, there were a lot of people and we want them to go first before we leave.

I have noticed a small shop there that did not look a store that carries religious items but looked like a bakeshop.

Custaroonery is a shop that sells macaroons with custard. That day was the first time I heard about this type of pastry.

I bought a box of assorted custaroon. It has flavors like plain, chocolate, coffee, and matcha. All of them were covered with Dark Chocolate (my favorite)

It was a bit pricey (same as Royce chocolates) but I must admit, those desserts were good. It has that coconut-y taste and texture in every bite just like our local macaroons but softer in taste.

All of the flavors were good but I like the plain more. It is a bit wee too sweet so one or two of them are enough for one day.

Aside from the famous and heaven sa sarap na cheese custaroon, I didn't know na they have this very scrumptous custaroon popper chocolate balls. Very soft and very chocolatey. It comes with a powdered dark chocolate that you can sprinkle. 25 pcs for 450 pesos.

The first time I saw Custaroonery was back in 2013 while we were doing Visita Iglesia. We stopped by Padre Pio Church in Libis and I instantly spotted their small store that was full of customers.

Fast forward to 2015, when we went back to Padre Pio for mass, I saw the signage again. So cutesy, so inviting, my low EQ gave in right away 128514

Got a box of 30 bite-size original. They were fresh out of the fridge so they were cold when I got them. Not a problem at all because I just realized that they're better consumed a bit cold!

Who could resist the soft, sweet, creamy little pieces of heaven? Genius marriage of macaroons and custard, I popped one after the other into my mouth non-stop. Everyone inside the car loved them too - hubby, Cherienne, MIL & DIL. We finished the box even before reaching home 128514

Also loved the pink cutesy box and the blue paper bag that came with the custaroons. Too much girly stuff according to hubby lol

I can eat all these my entire life. By far the best dessert a girl can ever ask for. Their custaroons comes in a very dainty box too. I hope they'll have a branch here in Makati. 128522

Tastes heavenly! 128519 Combination of macaroon and custard to make a mouthwatering delicious dessert @P40.00/pc. Bite size for box of 15 is P240.00, best for pasalubong! They have 2 flavors: original and cheese. What I got is original flavor because cheese was sold out. Not too sweet so there's no UMAY factor! 128077128522

My Mom asked me to buy scapular necklaces for the family, but ended up buying these goodies as well!

On my way home this noon, I passed by the church of Padre Pio along Libis to buy blessed scapulars. As I was about to approach the parking ramp, on my right was a quaint little shop (mind you it was really just a small room).

Since I didn't know where exactly the shop they sold scapulars were, I "strolled" the place (forgive my "stroll" word, I know the place's sacred and solemn). In front of the place where the stations of the cross' usually held, I noticed a small room with a sliding door that says "Slide". As I looked up the signage, it says "The Custaroonery Manila by Gigi Gaerlan". My heart literally skipped a beat since I wasn't expecting to find these luscious custaroons inside the vicinity of a church!

Though the place was really small, my attention and eyes were glued to the glass display counter filled with bite-sized and regular-sized custaroons, and their poppers!

I knew I had to buy the bite-sized custaroons! A box of 15 bite-sized Custaroons' P210.

Their prices start at P210.

These custaroons are to die for!! The goodness of grated coconut, condensed milk and the luscious custard that melts in your mouth is love at first BITE! 128149

TIP FOR THE BOYS OUT THERE!!
There are now 3 "blue boxes" every girl would love to receive from y'all:
1. A Tiffany & Co. gift
2. A Sonja's cupcake
3. A box of Custaroons by Gigi Gaerlan

Gigi Gaerlan's Custaroons are to die for! I can't stop eating them :-) It may look super sweet but honestly, it's not! Just right! The custaroons are moist too. Plus points for extra-friendly staff. :-)

Place tucked inside St. Pio (entrance is between Petron and Honda), the small store is beside the church shop. Finally made my way and got myself a box of bite-size half-half. That means cheese and original flavors in a box.

These custaroons are available near the church because they are like manna from heaven. Oh wait, they're probably near the church because they are so sinful. Sinfully good. I buy the minis because I can count and say, "I stuffed 3pcs already..." Then feel guilty eating a lot of the good things by myself.

Perfect for gifts and just plain sugar-loading yourself. Or when you're depressed and want some pick me-upper. "This custaroon is sweeter than my ex-boyfriend. 128557" then you forget about your breakup because all you'll be thinking of is Gigi's custaroons.

I've always frequented this little and I really mean little shop after mass to get some of their cheese custaroons! Used to get their chocolate truffles for gift because they're so pretty and equally yummy as the cheese custaroons! :)

We made a beeline for this super tiny store at the parking lot after hearing mass.

They have super yummy custaroons! We got a box of 12, assorted flavor (well just cheese and original) that came in this very nice and fancy packaging.

You can never go wrong with these sweet delights! Such a clever creation! Sweet, creamy and oh so good!

Heavenly custaroons from a heavenly place. Tried this after mass at St. Pio Church. Now, Sundays are incomplete without it. Quite pricey though.

Awesomely sweet, custardy, creamy macaroons with a cheesy flavor.

Finally tried this heavenly pastry. It's basically macaroons (with coconuts) BUT with a twist. I'm tasting cheese that cuts to the otherwise overly sweet taste. The result---it tastes like some great tasting cheesy -pastillas-macaroon.

Sounds like a weird combination. But the best way to judge this pastry is to try it. I'm definitely loving this sweets!

I had my first taste of custaroons two Christmases ago and found them really unique. Moist, not too sweet and I didn't realize 'til then that coconut macaroons and custards could taste really good together.

Recently, I stumbled upon their shop in Libis and to my surprise they now offer cheese-flavored custaroons which piqued my curiosity because I like cheese very much. I gave it a try and it was gooood!!! Kind of like a cheesy leche flan or yema textured with the taste of coconut.

My only complaint is that the mini ones are too small. They should've filled the cup all the way through. But I guess it's just as well to help manage the sugar and calories. Haha!
