In photo: Salmon Benedict (P325); Franco's Breakfast (P325)

Hmm.. The Salmon Benedict was more of a Pandesal Benedict than Salmon. It lacked not only salmon but also overall flavor. The egg was a bit bland..

The Franco's Breakfast was better than the Salmon Benedict but I think the price was too expensive for it.

Place and ambience was ok and yes their bathroom was lovely.

But, would I wake up early to have breakfast here? No..

T'was a beautiful Saturday morning

It's a rainy morning yet waking up in cozy bed of Citadines felt good. Its around 9 AM when I decided to have breakfast in Flying Pan. Been in the place many times and enjoyed their dishes

They got exclusive breakfast menu for Citadines' guests. Everything looks good. I decided to order Primavera (eggs Benedict with sautèed vegetables on toasted pandesal muffin, rosemary garlic fried tomatoes) and it has fruits on the side. And coffee is unlimited 128521128521128521

Egg Benedict are perfectly poached, enjoyed dipping my pandesal in it. Its a very filling breakfast. And brewed coffee is strong.. Love it!

Place: modern and neat interiors. By the way their CR is so so so nice.. Pay a visit when dining here128522

Food: comfort food! I find my primavera, yummy. My favorite here is thw angus beef tapa (in their regular menu)

It was an unplanned Wedding Meeting after office on Friday. Met up at Starbucks, but the bride wanted fruits and there were no fruits available. Transferred to Rufo's 'cause she also wanted rice and fish/chicken. Then when we were seated, she and her moh thought of wine. So we left again and walked to here, The Flying Pan.

There were a few customers when we came, so we were seated and attended to immediately. The bride got a glass of red wine (didn't know what wine was it exactly) and Piri Piri Chicken. I really didn't know what to have and I was set to eat dinner at home; and the moh had a planned dinner as well. We just decided that we'd share a pizza.

We asked the server what are the three cheeses in their Three Cheese Pizza. He couldn't answer. We asked what's the best seller, he was unsure if it's Marisco or Napa. We ended up ordering Margherita.

Loved it. I think I could finish it all by myself. Thin crust, yummy red tomato slices, and cheese. Perfect! I wanted to have iced tea, but theirs was disappointing (small glass for 95php, and i don't get what's so special about it- ordered one on my first visit, and regretted it), so I opted for a Mango Shake. It was sweet with some sour kick. I liked it too.

Oh, by the way, bride asked for some sauce that can be paired to her Piri Piri. Guess what was handed to her? She was given Knorr Toyomansi. 🤗 Haha.

It was by accident we stumbled upon this precious gem.

This place serves one of the best hearty brekky in the city.

They are the official breakfast bistro of Citadel Apartment Hotel. The waitress asked us initially if we are checked-in because guests of the hotel have a special rate.

The pace was cozy and relaxed. The crowd was mostly foreigners staying in the hotel.

We tried the Cabanatuan longganisa and I think it was american-sized breakfast it would ake 2 people to finish it (it has 2 fried eggs) and it comes with your choice of coffee or tea. Not bad for 390php++

We were hungry ladies after one outreach activity we attended. There was food, but we were afraid that others might need it more so we decided to get brunch somewhere else. It took us so long to decide where to eat. Good thing, it was also quite a drive to get to anywhere. The first stop was Relish, but since they had just opened the store, a lot of items were not available. Most were what we wanted. They also don’t have a breakfast/brunch menu because they only serve lunch onwards. Duly noted, Relish.

The craving for brunch was strong with this one so we took our feet and shuffled them to the far end of the street to The Flying Pan. There were three families dining so we took a look at the menu and settled in. Orders were:

Salmon Eggs Benedict P395 – this came in a skillet wherein half of it was filled with baked taters and toasted garlic. Totally non-oily and enticing to anyone’s eyes that my two friends asked for some. Go ahead, ladies! This cannot be consumed by one even if that one person has a huge appetite --- me! The salmon wasn’t ‘malangsa’ and the egg that sat atop it was cooked the way it was meant to be – runny yolk when sliced and firm egg white. I finished off the one piece and shared the other piece.

Franco’s Breakfast P325 – the Angus Sisig Hash was rich – in flavor and in the character of the ingredients. I looooved the garlic rice!!! In the menu, the default egg is fried but since the waiter knew we were sharing dishes he asked how we liked the eggs; for sharing, scrambled is a good way to go.

Soy and ginger salmon with wasabi rice P425 – The wasabi rice was yummeh!! For wasabi lovers, you might be a little disappointed because the “gumuguhit” feeling in your nose will not apply. There is enough kick and flavor in this rice to complement the refreshing soy and ginger salmon. I liked that there were French beans and tomato giving the dish a little bit of sophistication.

Cookie tart a la mode – P180 – the item to cap our brunch adventure was a cookie tart. I was tasked to make the decision so among the five desserts in their display showcase, this was the one that called out to me. The cookie was moist but it lacked chocolate. The crust around it had a flavor of grease from the pan and gave us an aftertaste. I loved how the vanilla ice cream made it better. It made it taste waaaaaaay better. (Ayan, emphasized!) This was reminiscent of the time I had ice cream with gluten free cookies – not a good experience. Thank goodness I only took a small chunk and stood up to check out the Starbucks next door because when I came back, I noticed that the dessert was close to gone! Yay! No need to annihilate and no need to make food go to waste.

Coming back? Yes, indeedy.

Another perfect Sunday morning last weekend. I know its been a carbo saturday with our thai dinner @ Azuthai. But forget it, its Breakfast9786

Its my second time to dine in this place. Its cozy and its like a homie feeling. I decided to order their Crispy Pork Adobo. Hmmm its not as good as the Angus Beef Tapa, but I enjoyed the crispy and tender pork with sauce. It is served with 2 eggs, cup of rice, and ensalada. And of course, brewed coffee to complete my meal.

Nothing spectacular, but still its a yummy breaky to try 128522

Someone promised me a worth-waking-up-early breaky and i loved it!.Flying pan has modern yet cozy ambiance with comforting menu. Breakfast is really my comfort food. It reminds me of my childhood mornings where everyday we had my ever favorite garlic rice and eggs and the rest is anything fried.. And it just so perfect.

This morning i had Angus Beef tapa that comes with garlic rice, 2 eggs, and ensalada (cucumber, tomatoes, onion with salted egg in vinegar). My tapa is tender and tasty.. Which makes it rice intensive (ohh yeah, i finished everything..). My dear companion had Franco's breakfast. Its actually an angus sisig.. With eggs and ensalada. Its also a must try! I havent thought that angus sisig is existing.. Until i tried it this morning.128077🏻

Their brewed coffee makes it more complete.. I had 2 cups in fact.,128563 Definitely a must try place for all-day-breakfast lovers.

P.S dont forget to visit their CR. so so so nice!

Friday night catch up with 2 of my old friends plus 1 new friend. This is a nice place to stay if u want to have conversations with ur friends as it is not that crowded, with soft and chill music at the background, relaxing ambiance, and food is good.

I ordered the Pasta Primavera which was all veggies pasta. I liked the sweetness and the slight spicy combination of its tomato sauce. I noticed that their serving size is big. Plus the name of their dishes are unique and appealing.

For our dessert, we had the salted caramel lava cake for sharing. The cake was chocolate-y but I barely tasted the salted caramel. It was a bit dry and not moist for me.

The servers were attentive and accommodating. Ooh, and their bathroom was spacious, clean and smells nice which is a plus.

Their three cheese pizza is amazing! Really craving for pizza but can't find a review about their pizza here in looloo which is most of the time my basis when ordering. This time I thought of still trying it out and got their three cheese pizza.

It is super good it reminded me so much of two season's four cheese pizza. Thin, crispy and powdery crust plus the saltiness of the cheeses just made this pizza so delectable. I can finish this pizza by myself and I won't regret it. Not to mention it is only 260 pesos for the whole pizza. Amazing.

This place just served good food. I had the Angus sisig that comes with eggs (mine was perfectly poached), fried rice and a side of tomatoes, onion and salted egg salad. Since it wasn't sizzling, the meat wasn't as crispy as I would like; hence, just four out of five stars. There's a whole list of other goodies to try on my next visit. Now thinking of dessert...

Barbecued Spareribs. Sounds good, looks good, tastes good. Except that the meat was a bit tough.

The Flying Pan is a pretty restaurant with nice interiors and their service was okay. Just a bit pricey though.

Had coffee, a burger, and dessert. Nothing worth remembering but the bill (P800+ including my wife's iced tea). The burger was bland and pretentious. Place was full lunch time but didn't stop some of the waiters from playing with their cellphones.

That chorizo wrapped fish with pasta is love. Wash it down with a carafe of dalandan juice. Prices aren't too expensive either. Great space, comfy, airy and lots of outlets for your perpetually low battery gadgets. Parking is your biggest challenge here.

Decided to try this place since this was close to the Netherlands Embassy. So I went there after my appearance. Tried their beef tapa which is supposed to be their "best seller". But sadly, it was just ok for me. Preferred my tapa to have a more garlic taste and theirs lacked it. Although it wasn't bad, it just wasn't a "best" for me.
