I've been curious about The Frazzled Cook since one of my friends in IG posted a picture of their food. So I asked my family to have dinner here last Saturday.

The restaurant was packed when we arrived. I had my name listed, and I was 4th in the wait list. After around 10 minutes, finally a table good for four. My sister really wanted to try their ribs so she ordered their Slowly Cooked Pork Ribs (450php). This is cooked for 4 hours and simmered in their signature style sauce. The pork was so tender and really flavorful. I loved that the bones were soft as well. I think not bad for its price. I ordered Paella Negra (375php good for 3 / 635php for 5). This is squid-ink rice topped with shrimps, sausages, and bell peppers. I found this too salty, however, squeezing some lemon in this balanced the taste. I'll have this again, next time!

I also ordered their Frazzled Sisig (225php). This is the usual pork sisig but with their special sauce. Not sure on what's in that, but the sisig tasted good. I loved that it's crunchy! 128541 Finally, we also had Peppered Salmon Steak (335php). I liked how this tasted but I think it was a bit overcooked. It's still juicy, though. The fries on the side were good too!

The service was slow that night, which is quite understandable as the restaurant was really full. I just hope they improve on that.

P.S. The place is really beautiful. There are a lot of IG-worthy spots. I'm not really sure, but for me it's like a big house transformed to be a restaurant. Well, if that's the case then they succeeded in making me feel homey. Happy tummy! 128541

Every Filipino loves food and are blessed to be good in the kitchen as well. In the past years many houses have been renovated and made into restaurants to give their clients a homey feel. And I always look forward to going to these kinds of restaurants.

So my food adventure with my friends brought us to FRAZZLED COOK in Quezon City. The place is not that big but food seemed to be good as I saw their parking space full and reservations was a must.

The interiors was lovely! How I wished I wanted to do the same thing to our humble abode. For starters,we ordered Fresh Green Salad with Vinegrette , then we had Spare Ribs with Fries , Spare Ribs with Mashed Potatoes , Mozarella Cheese Sticks and guess what…Paella Negra! Their Paella Negra was a bomb! Very tasty, just right for my tastebuds and a good hefty serving too! In fact we went home with a doggy bag.

Visit their place if you’re just around the area of Tomas Morato and Timog. I’m sure you will love it just like the way we all did.

Great interiors, not so expensive, food is ok. Almost 600php for 2. Depends on your choices. People are very accommodating. Although you have to come early on weekends, say for your dinner, or call early for reservations, because a lot of customers pile up after 6pm (lagi sila puno) 128517

This quaint shop is located conveniently in Tomas Morato. The interiors were an interesting shabby-chic motif.
True enough, food was very tasty. We ordered onion rings for appetizer and got pork chops and salmon with mango salsa for the main course.
Hmm, for the health conscious, the onion rings were just a tad too salty. We had the chef do something about it. Hehe. They replaced the whole lot! Thank you (: what they served next were really good onion rings. Not the best i've had though, but yeah, good enough.
The chops were really big and juicy. Value for your money right there!
I enjoyed the grilled salmon with mango salsa. I just wished they used salmon steak here and not salmon belly slices.

Overall, i'd give it 3 and a half stars. It could use better space ergonomics. I imagine how crowded this place can be and yet just enough space to move around.
Oh, and 1 more thing, since the servers use yellow aprons over black uniforms, next time i hope they make sure clients don't see the last served sauce in there. Or pen marks, and the like.

Visit this place for the first time and tried one of their best sellers "Grilled Porkchop", comes with 1 siding and I pick the garlic rice. It is served with two piece of grilled porkchop. I can say that the size is good for two people. Porkchop still taste soft and delicious even if it is thick, it is combined with their own sauce. Worth to try when you visit this place.

Been here for quite a couple of times... But i've noticed that the quality of their food kept on downgrading! Like the the fish in their fish and fries is too hard same with the porkchop and pork bbq! 128540 In fairness, their sizzling squid and lamb stew are still yummy! 128077🏻 still love their hello kitty spoons and quaint interior! 128512

Its my moms birthday yesterday and its the first time it fall in a maundy thursday. So me and my siblings were having a hard time finding the perfect place to celebrate her birthday. Most of the resto we initially planned to go are closed during holyweek. So after further research we learned Frazzled Cook is open and they accomodating the 25% off when you use your citibank creditcard. Jackpot!

Frazzled cook is one of the recent breakthrough resto in tomas morato. They are so popular that even in maundy thursday they were jampacked. I love the homey interior of the place and each semi private room got a different theme. This old house turned resto was transformed beautifully. Random wall decoration and mismatched chairs was so cute. My sister order a lot of food for this celebration it was like a fiesta, But here are some of my favorites.

128205Grilled PorkChop - a serving of two delicious porkchops. They were tender and juicy. Love the bbq sauce and the mashed potato that comes with it.
128205Sizzling Squid - this got a little sweet flavor to it because the squid was marinated in sweet mangoes. I love the sweetness of this dish. The squid were also soft and easy to chew.
128205Seafood Paella - this is a big serving of paella and got a generous serving of seafoods on it. It tasted good but I'm very particular with paella flavor. I was expecting the great seafood flavor in the paella but it was quite underwhelming.
128205Pizza Caprese - I love this one. It reminds me of 3M pizza when I was a kid in a goodway.hehe. love the combination of kesong puti and grilled tomatoes.
128205Lengua with mushroom sauce - One of my fave dish. Very delicious and very tender ox tongue.
128205Fries Chicken - this one is ordered because of my pamangkin. Crispy chiclen breading and delicious flavorful chicken meat. 128077

Overall I love this place from the interior to the food. Service was also good but getting the waiters attention was quite hard because of the seperate rooms. Definitely will comeback.128522128077

Location was easy to spot around the scout area and there was parking. Arrived here on a sunday evening with family. It was near a canal which made it a smelly place but that's just outside.

the place was packed but we got our seats fast, servers were very accommodating and service was prompt as well. No forgotten orders and refills or checking was done before we asked for it.

Food was really good, just a few misses but generally it was delicious! I got the truffled pasta and delighted once i smelled mine on its way to the table. Pasta was cooked al dente and there was bacon bits with few shrooms too but I felt it needed more meat.

Pancake ala mode was simple yet the family loved it. Will visiy again soon.

Loved the interiors!

Food was not bad, too. I hate truffle but their truffle pasta was surprisingly tolerable.

We also had cheeselogs, pasta with bacon and cream, pizza ceviche, and grilled porkchops.

Although I didn't think it wasn't enough food for six of us. I just wish we'd ordered more.

We were here for late lunch (around 3pm) on a Saturday and we didn't really wait too long before the food was served. By the time we left, the place started to fill up. Looks like a lot of people come here to eat.

And they have parking spaces! That's a rare in the Scout area so yaay for that.

It was way past lunch time when we went here for a late sunday brunch, having read reviews with both good and bad feedback, im afraid im in the middle leaning towards the latter. The hype was 128549.

The place was a bit compact, having more or less around 4 private rooms, with 1 room only having curtain so as a result it feels like a fiesta inside a homey feel resto.

We ordered truffle pasta and paella negra, the truffle pasta was really good, and we like it, hence was the cause of the 3 stars if not its a 2 stars for me. Paella negra looks good but its a different story in terms of taste, IMO i hope it was served on a none sizzling plate since it tends to get hard at the bottom, there are also parts of the rice that has chunks of white rice 128529.

Service was quick but since we were seated on the side near the "wall of plates", i cant understand why it was the preferred route of the servers even theres only around 4 or 5 inch space between my seat and wall, i find it uncomfortable having them squeezing through it on my back. 128528

I gave a 3 star rating partly affected by the hype but the food was not at par with the hype. I expected a lot from the frazzled cook but was very disappointed; the food was so-so, nothing to shout about. I ordered their specialties (forgot which specifically) and it made me ask what's so special? This is just what i have experienced and tasted. Both factors may vary per visit and per person.

P.S. Please don't expect too much.
