Tried Chicken ala king and it was very good! I liked the bread because it's flake-y and it's cheap. This one is only php 180. It comes with the corn and carrots and the salad

French baker are really known for its breads.. What about meals?

Tried their hickory ribs.. The sauce was scanty.. Cant really taste the tangy bbq flavor... Well it just tasted pork and grill.

Soup tasted tomato sauce pasta

Corn and rice goes well with the dish.

The red cherry danish... Really good. Fluffed croissant and heavenly flavored pastry cream in the center. Sour red seedless cherries goes along with it.

I.Quiche Lorraine with Soup &Salad

A.Taste - 4/5
-Quiche Lorraine is an unsweetened custard pie. It has two varieties: Cheese and Vegetable. We tried the cheese, and its delish. Its creaminess and cheesy flavor tops all the other ingredients in a way that is not too salty. It also has bits of ham and mushroom in cream if not milk.

B.Satiety Value - 4/5
-I think its calories is enough for main meals ( lunch/dinner) for both gender. But I'm not sure for the feeling of fullness especially for men. The quiche is small but the cheese and cream provides large calories. The Salad provides bulk to the meal.

C. Nutrition - 4/5
-I chose cheese over vegetable Quiche since the set already provides vegetable salad. A meal must always be a variety to be able to get all the nutrients we need. We can't get all the nutrients from one type of food even if it is a vegetable. Cheese will be the only enough source of protein and fat in this meal/set. (Bits of ham is not enough). Remember: There's no good or bad food! And MOVABA: MOderate, VAriety, BAlance!
-It has: Carbohydrates (Veg,Bread/Pie,Honey), Protein (Cheese, Ham, and if it has *milk*), Fat (Cheese, and if it has *cream* in the Quiche filling* and *butter* in the soup)
Since it is a balanced meal, and methods of cooking is baking, I'm giving it a 4 over 5.

II.Fettuccini Alla Carbonara
A. Taste-2/5
-It's creamy, has enough sauce but a little bland, I guess I have a high regard for saltiness. I may be the problem. I suggest they provide grated or powdered parmesan cheese

B. Satiety Value-3/5
-The serving is big. Typical serving pasta. Enough for merienda, may be enough lunch/dinner for women.

C.Nutrition-2/5
-Has enough Carbohydrates (pasta), has no enough Protein( only bits of Ham), has enough Fat(Cream).
-Has no vegetable that can be a source of vitamins&minerals.
-Its lack of saltiness may indicate that it doesn't have high content sodium, and that's good.

III. Sanitation & Service -4/5
-The place is small, around 8 tables/4seats ea. They're more into to-go orders of bread.
-We did not wait for too long, only about 10 minutes, and our food was served hot.
-It's like an open kitchen so we can see the crew wearing the proper uniform while preparing the meals (with apron, hairnet and gloves).
-They served the food in a unique and sanitized way, covered. (As seen in the picture)

IV. Value for Money
3/5- Not bad
Quiche with soup and salad
-P175
Fettuccini Alla Carbonara
-P155

I missed this place so much!

Nothing has changed, just the size of their bread and I think they don't have na my favorite Pompoms. 128542

I've always loved their soup in a bowl of bread. But unfortunately it is not available that time. Boo!

So we got Chicken ala King, Grilled Chicken with Mango Salsa and Garlic Toast.

Everything was great!! Chicken ala King is my forever favorite. 128525

I find the Garlic Toast a bit thinner now. But its okay. They served us free soup naman. 128517

Brought home more garlic toast and cheese bread.

Dining at French Baker is reminiscent of my GS/HS days when my folks would take us shopping at (the "then") SM annex and then we would cap off that mall trip by having lunch, merienda or dinner here.

Since then, my go-to order here has been the chicken ala king, and it's remained as flavorful as it was back in the day. Came with 2 sides: salad and corn & carrots.

Their brewed citrus iced tea is the real deal too, and not one of 'em powdered ones, yay!

For the 1st time, I decided to try their french macarons (obviously they're riding the macaron hype!) and they were meh :/ Chewy yes, but just sugary and not at all flavorful. We had the rose, chocolate, mocha and pistachio flavors. NO match for Bizu's, IMO.

Still, a good experience. Courteous staff. Nothing extraordinary with their food but we got exactly what we came there for :) Expectations met :)

Warning for the boys: girly portions.
