My previous post about the french baker in Manila, I swore I'm never going back unless I needed to charge(this is because of their outlets by the table haha!

My parents brought our guests from manila here. We were suppose to go to vikings (same lane as french baker) but since their flight was delayed we decided to just come here and eat snacks. But no, I did not eat just snacks. I was hungry.

I'm surprised to see a lot of choices in the menu. Price was quite cheap too. I think the french baker i often go to in manila is like the high end one(?) I'm not sure but I'm sure it's also french baker. Even though the other one is the "high end" one, I still think this branch looks more classy. From the plates and everything.

I ordered their chicken fricassee. It was fair priced and taste was okay. It came with soup too by the way:)

My sister ordered the korean beef, she said it was okay but meat could have been more tender:)

French baker's soup of the day - chicken & mushroom soup bread bowl. This is comfort food! delicious, creamy, hot, and very filling. I enjoyed eating on in the bread :) great match!

They have the yummiest tuna sandwich. :) must try. But, sadly they also have the yummiest macaroons, but always out of stock. :( lastly, the staff here is not friendly when serving.. Next time, they should be more polite & friendly to customers. Tsk tsk.

But nonetheless,
It's one way to be healthy to eat and dine here. :D

Tried their Chicken Salad croissant. It was ok though, but I wish they could put a bit more filling since the croissant is big. The chips were fine, nothing special but was ok. 128522

After that disappointing visit to BreadTalk, my mother and I headed over to The French Baker. Trumps BreadTalk in so many ways! One, because they have croissants! And their attendants were nice, friendly, and... pogi. HAHAHA. So there. 128518

We bought two varieties of croissants: the ham & cheese and the butter. I had the ham & cheese since I had already tasted the butter croissant last time. The consistency and taste of the bread was essentially the same with the butter: soft, flaky, fluffy, and buttery. The ham tasted like Purefoods cold cuts ham. Not exactly top deli quality, but passable. The cheese was cheddar, I think. Not the maka-umay kind of cheddar though! It went really well with the bread and ham. 128523

This probably won't be the last we'll be buying from The French Baker. HAHA alam na! 128513

Bought their croissants because Mama wanted to try them. They were golden brown in color, and they were very slightly burnt. (Aren't Parisian croissants supposed to be light golden in color?) But despite that, the croissants were light, fluffy, and buttery. Goes really well with a cup of coffee. 128522
