The fries are torched right on the table! Theyre cheesy, gooey, and great with an ice cold beer.

What's a potatolover to do when presented with cheesy bacon torched fries? Order more of course! 128516 My friends and I are really into potatoes and they really liked The Fry Guys. So much so that they ordered another batch of torched fries but this time with peppers and then an order of sour cream mojos with ketchup on the side.

This is the only photo I had with the Bacon and Fries from The Fry Guys. And sadlt you could only see half of it. Sorry 9996🏻️

It's cool that they serve the fries to your table and at the same time they use a blow torch to melt the cheese on top which i find amuzing. I think everyone who ordered it did. The fries was sooooo goooooood. Good value for 150 pesos. They definitely didn't go easy with the cheese 128514 they went all in! Haha

Early dinner with the bf yesterday... Doctors make the worst patients, that's for sure! I was supposed to be resting but I ended up going to Box Park with the bf... 128513

He hasn't been here before and I was a willing tour guide... Typically, I wouldn't have wanted to go there do early... But the skies were overcast and seemingly ready to burst; fortunately it did not pour when we were there earlier... At 4pm, only about half of the stalls were open. Slim pickings!128517

He wasn't too hungry but he was willing to try the fries... I thought we were going for some melted cheese and bacon again, but he wanted something simple... So we got the large size of their mega fries (thicker cut), shaken in cheese powder and with a dip... Similar to what a friend of mine ordered before... It cost about P90...

It served pretty fast, though my bf actually waited for it by the window... The container was a good size, meaning lotsbof fries!128525 it was pretty good! The powder didn't make it too salty... The dip we chose was their garlic mayo, which was just okay... Try it sometime guys!128588

The staff were nice!128077

Went out with Kara G last week for some much needed and long overdue bonding!128150

We ended up along Congressional for dinner and I suggested Box Park... Well, madali naman kami kausap forever!128513

As with anyone's first time at Box Park, the choices are overwhelming... We just intended to share a couple of dishes then call it a night... I was drawn to The Fry Guys, nit knowing what my friend ordered previously and wanting to try their torched fries...

I ordered one of their bestsellers, Cheese and Bacon... We didn't have to wait long for this cheesy dish to arrive... One of their staff began to torch it in front of us, letting the cheese melt... Oh my!128525 The heat barely dissipated before we dug in... Fries, cheese, bacon= a sure recipe for success, correct?128515 And it was! We both loved it and enjoyed every piece! Yay!128077 Not to mention their reasonable prices, it won't break your wallet... I'm looking forward to trying their poutine next time!

I'm still loving the vibe of the place, super laid back and neighborly... Beware of the parking though... The sidewalk is pretty high and you can ding your car door... 128513

Roegan T I know what my friend ordered na. Their mega fries!128522

Po-tay-to, po-tah-to! Hello, Fry Guys!

So of course, this place's specialty is fries, fries, fries. They'll let you have it every which way you want it. Big fries, string fries, with cheese, with jalapeño, etc. etc. Oohhh 128535 Price range is from 50-150 pesos, depending on the type of dish you order as well as serving size (they have regular and large). You can even customize your fries platter some more by adding more toppings and such, your choice.

I opted to get their one of their torched fries variants. Had the one with fries covered with cheese and bacon bits then torched with a handheld blow torch right at your table. Sweet! Anyway, the fries were good! Hot, crispy and fresh and then they sort of combine with the cheese and stuff and you get a perfect explosion of flavors in your mouth. You can't go wrong with the simple combo of fries + toppings/dips, anyway.

Box Park is Congressional Avenue's answer to StrEAT: Food Truck Park in Maginhawa... Congressional is actualluy teeming with hole in the wall restos along its' entire stretch... But this open air dining area makes it an official foodie destination for all the QC foodies out there... 128077

May I point out some pros regarding Congressional Avenue:
128261It's wider in terms of the width of the street. Meaning you can park on the side of the road while not creating horrible traffic...
128261The bridge was recently fixed, though only one side of the road is finished, the flow of traffic is better now... Whew, good news since surely we all hate traffic!
128261The restaurants are a bit farther apart, at least for now... This helps with regards to parking spaces, which is a major problem in Maginhawa...
128261Restaurants are bigger, able to accomodate more people without feeling too cramped!128516
128261There are many food choices, not just in this newly opened foodie paradise... Different kinds of cuisine are available along this stretch of road, much like Maginhawa or Aguirre...

Cons:
128205be very careful when passing by Luzon Avenue. Tricycles and pedestrians rule the lawless street. Be patient!128519

Anyway, this food stall sells fries and fries alone... Like a more complex and elevated version of Potato Corner (sorry for the obvious comparison)... String fries, steak fries, fries with dip, poutine... Fries... Fries... Fries... In other words, carbs, carbs, carbs... They even have an unli Fry-day, for P250, eat all the fries you want!128525

I'm not quite sure what version of fries is pictured. But my friend ordered one with a side of cheese dip... Simple, starightforward and how can you not like fries?!128515

Time to put QC in the map!128513
