Aside from the ambiance, I love their salsa verde. They have a decent cocktail selection too.

While waiting for our 8:30pm flight, we dropped by one of the popular cafes here in Puerto Princesa -- the Gypsy's Lair Cafe.

It has this interesting, if not weird, ambiance. It was designed to have the feel of a real gypsy's lair with all the weird painting, figurines, and dolls scattered all over. Kind of creepy, but I actually enjoyed it. :)

Foodwise, it was good. The bf had their potato soup and fish salpicado (255), which he thought was beef at first, while I had their pin-thai (150), their own take on pad thai. I also had their coffee shake (90) which according to the server, used one of their local coffee beans.

I enjoyed the experience, though i wish the servers were more attentive. Drop by this place during your layover! 128077

We originally planned to go to Kinabuch or Kalui but we arrived around 2pm so it's closed. Hassle lang in Kinabuch because the guy who tried taking our order was asking us to leave and come back at 4pm. E our flight is 5:30pm so lipat na lang kami. Haha.

Excellent food and service. We ordered their Kinilaw, Seafood curry, and Binakol na Manok.

Service is very slow. Its not something for people on the go. I ordered their Tapa with rice and the rest of my friends ordered their breakfast specials. It was neatly presented with a heart shaped rice on the side. 128525

Stay away from rice coffee. 9749 Its as if ur drinking burnt rice mixed with hot water. Not a good way to start your day.

We tried their berliner and silvanas for dessert. Nothing extraordinary.

I must do commend their relaxing ambience and by playing Jack Johnson music on the background! 128077

I liked the ambiance and all the unique knickknacks in this resto. I ordered the barbecue ribs and was surprised on how big the serving was- good enough to be shared. I'm nota fan of star anise but I like how its taste mixed with the barbecue sauce. The seafood curry and the lasagna were okay too. They also have banana flavored ice cream that was so good that I finished it even though it was kinda melted when served.
