Halal Guys is not super spectacular imo but for the price, I think the taste and quantity suffices. In New York I guess people line for the price as it's one of the cheapest meals you can get in the city.
Was able to try their value meal last time which consists of a small platter with chicken, beef and fish and a glass of iced tea for only ₱195. Not bad! Dining in allows you to use as much white sauce as you want 128516 hubby got the large one for 299 I think, not sure but he finished it all too.
Defo one of our go to places in atc 128076

My sister brought home this platter. Looks yummy but didn't like the taste of falafel. The small slices of chicken was good. I didn't like the taste of falafel. I'm not sure if falafel is fried, but tastes like fried in overused oil. It was my first time to eat halal guys platter so I'm not sure if it real tasted that way. For 3++, price is not worth it. Overall, it was ok. The falafel just ruined my ratings for this.

Wife and I finally decided to try it. Heard from all the reviews that it wasn't good or equal to the one in NYC. But the wife craves sharwarma or gyro... so we decided to try it! Wife ordered a gyro nyc. Which she asked the cook to add white garlic sauce and hot sauce.
I was prepared to dismiss it because everyone said it was horrible but lo and behold it wasn't bad at all! In fact it was tasty. I'll try the rice version next time and the falafel!

We learned about how good The Halal Guys is from friends who came from New York. They say that what we have here is as good as what they tried at NYC. That's really something!

We have gone a couple of times here since this branch at ATC opened. And we always enjoy the food.

We usually order the Gyro+Chicken platter (@P399), New York size, really good for sharing!

The signature white sauce is of course very good. Their hot sauce however is really, really hot. We usually ask for it when ordering but never get to use it!

I do love their Chicken over Fries. The barbecue sauce really matches the tasty chicken over the already flavorful large-cut fries!

The tamarind drink is also good. A perfect match for any meal!

I have been hearing so many good things about this one, but I never really tried them (even when I was in the states) because I thought all their food has rice and I forgot that this cuisine has pita bread - something my brother had to remind me so when I looking for a quick to-go order, I finally tried this one.

I got the Chicken sandwich (199php), small one and I also got the Gyro sandwich (199php) for my brother. Since we had this for takeout, forgive me if my photos of the food were 80% aluminum foil. Hehe I was trying to take a photo of it before we eat it in the car.

Anyway, I only gave 3 stars because mine was so saucy (if that's the term; or soupy bec my tagalog word for it is "masabaw" 128539) that the bread got soaked in it. I don't know if thats really how its supposed to be or not but I didn't enjoy it. It tasted like there was more sauce than the meat to it. If there's one thing I liked, its their hot sauce. Man, it was really really really spicy! If you're not into spicy stuff, DO NOT try it. I only put a pea size more or less and it was already spicy enough. 128293128293

I'm willing to give it a try again though, but next time I'll be eating it there already. 9786

The sampler platter was ok as it gives you a taste of their falafel and chicken dishes. A bit more expensive than the portion size though. The chicken sandwich is a no-go as it really tasted more like chicken salad on pita than representative of the cuisine. Watch out for the hot sauce. A little goes a long way.

Halal guys finally opened their south branch last September 9 in Alabang Town Center.

We had a late dinner last night expecting some long lines. But came to a surprise that it has less crowd compared to the mega mall branch on their first week. 128513

We quickly ordered their famous chicken + falafel platter in regular size with drink plus gyro over fries with bbq sauce since I'm starving that night. I asked the lady in the counter to have the both sauces (white and hot sauce) on my platter but they served it only with white sauce. No biggie but active listening should be practiced.

This is their take on shawarma rice but with pita and veggies. The white sauce is really good on chicken but the falafel (meatball with no meat) has a curry feel that is a bit dry.

We tried their famous hot sauce which is perfect for the meal but should be used cautiously.

The gyro over fries is yummy with some sweet and spicy bbq sauce. This is best for sharing but the flavor profile might be overwhelming for some.

I don't think I will order their falafel again but definitely will try their chicken gyro and probably some baklava on the side.

Im giving them 4 stars since the place is clean, the service is fast and my tummy is satisfied and full.
