I have been hearing so many good things about this one, but I never really tried them (even when I was in the states) because I thought all their food has rice and I forgot that this cuisine has pita bread - something my brother had to remind me so when I looking for a quick to-go order, I finally tried this one.
I got the Chicken sandwich (199php), small one and I also got the Gyro sandwich (199php) for my brother. Since we had this for takeout, forgive me if my photos of the food were 80% aluminum foil. Hehe I was trying to take a photo of it before we eat it in the car.
Anyway, I only gave 3 stars because mine was so saucy (if that's the term; or soupy bec my tagalog word for it is "masabaw" ) that the bread got soaked in it. I don't know if thats really how its supposed to be or not but I didn't enjoy it. It tasted like there was more sauce than the meat to it. If there's one thing I liked, its their hot sauce. Man, it was really really really spicy! If you're not into spicy stuff, DO NOT try it. I only put a pea size more or less and it was already spicy enough.
I'm willing to give it a try again though, but next time I'll be eating it there already. ️

The sampler platter was ok as it gives you a taste of their falafel and chicken dishes. A bit more expensive than the portion size though. The chicken sandwich is a no-go as it really tasted more like chicken salad on pita than representative of the cuisine. Watch out for the hot sauce. A little goes a long way.

Halal guys finally opened their south branch last September 9 in Alabang Town Center.
We had a late dinner last night expecting some long lines. But came to a surprise that it has less crowd compared to the mega mall branch on their first week.
We quickly ordered their famous chicken + falafel platter in regular size with drink plus gyro over fries with bbq sauce since I'm starving that night. I asked the lady in the counter to have the both sauces (white and hot sauce) on my platter but they served it only with white sauce. No biggie but active listening should be practiced.
This is their take on shawarma rice but with pita and veggies. The white sauce is really good on chicken but the falafel (meatball with no meat) has a curry feel that is a bit dry.
We tried their famous hot sauce which is perfect for the meal but should be used cautiously.
The gyro over fries is yummy with some sweet and spicy bbq sauce. This is best for sharing but the flavor profile might be overwhelming for some.
I don't think I will order their falafel again but definitely will try their chicken gyro and probably some baklava on the side.
Im giving them 4 stars since the place is clean, the service is fast and my tummy is satisfied and full.
