I got the Falafel and Chicken on rice with white sauce, hot sauce on the side.

I suddenly craved for this food once I stepped inside Megamall, and I must say that it was a lot better and tastier than my first experience with this food. I was not able to review about it the first time I had this since I was really disappointed with how dry their meat was back then.

I only added just a drop of their hot sauce, and it was already too spicy for me.

Hindi pa din talaga siya masarap e. I ate it the right way this time.

Hinalo ko lahat sa plate, I had to pay extra for white onions btw, then I ate it. Ang tabang talaga e. Walang lasa. Except pag nilagyan mo ng hot sauce, at yun lang ang nag dadala. Ultimo garlic sauce, ang tabang. Buti nga ngayon madami na silang nilalagay e dati karampot tas may bayad ang extra. Wow.

Kung mas mura ito, okay sana. Kaso hindi e. That's why I believe it is a complete rip off.

So overall, 250PHP for the small Gyro Plate with extra white onions.

Puki. Mag Food Channel na lang kayo friends, 100PHP lang ang shawarma rice. Or Behrouz, makakapag Ox Brain ka pa. Huwag dito. Save your money. Kumain sa mas masarap at mas sulit.

When looloo says they miss you, you know that you miss them too. I've been lagging on my reviews here so expect a whole lotta backtracking. Haha 128517

Finally got to try this much-acclaimed rice spot. Lucky me, there was no line and service was fast. I chose their mixed platter which consisted of their chicken and beef gyro. I preferred the beef more for it had more flavor. The seasoning was just on point there. And the sauce, well, no wonder people like it! I had the white sauce over my plate which was just good. It is a little pricey imo (I think my dish totaled to a close P300) but it did deliver in terms of flavor. And oh yeah, so glad a branch opened near my area. I don't have to go at this branch (really far from me) to grab a plate. 128523

Why do a lot of people give Halal Guys a negative rep when they are not eating it the way it's supposed to be eaten? It's definitely bland if you don't add up all the separate flavors on the plate. Mix everything with that sauce (white or red or both) before you take your first bite. It's not one spoon of meat then rice then spoon of veggies then spoon of rice so on and so forth. It's like eating a bibimbap piece by piece. Perhaps this is also due to the staff's lack of initiative to inform their customers of how to properly eat it. Give it another try. It's like a bad first date with your bf/gf but doesn't mean they suck as you still eventually fell for them with another try.

Typing as I munch..

A friend has been pushing me since last year to try Halal Guys, beat, i gave in, took a year though due to it's kinda hassle location in SM Fashion Hall at SM Megamall. I live up north, so why traverse to get greek food, well i found out today, gladly they are opening another branch in SM North Edsa.

So.. I ordered one, there's no line on this Saturday evening, served quick and on my seat in about 5 mins.. One plate with drink, they have other new items but skeptikal me tried their main, world famous meal.

I get.. In one round aluminum plate are the usual meat + veggie affair, half the plate is meat, very generous! Other half are lettuce and tomato with two pieces of pita cuts on top, juicy and freshly cut veggies is always a plus, covering the entire orange rice serving that occupies the entire plate underneath! The meat is drenched with this famed wite sauce everyone is going crazy about. There's garlic but im going with the white for now..

With a spoon and fork, a true New Yorker eats this mixing everything together and not the Pinoy style where the rice and dish is eaten seperate on your spoon. This one must converge in your plate at once before reaching your mouth and there's a good reason why! New Yorkers eat this one hand, plus that white sauce, this sauce must reach everything in the plate!

There's something addicting in this white sauce that makes you want to get their tube and pour everything in your plate like soup. I cant really say what's in it but it binds everything together nicely and it's quite yummy, the bread tastes a bit better with it than rice but both are good! This pita bread is so soft yum! Warm meal means it was prepared fresh, taste like it too, and that's a huge plus! Rice could have been more moist but it's alright. The meat is soft and very flavorful. The softdrink, they have iced tea too, leaves great after taste from the saltnesa of the meal. Definitely worth the price! So why only 4 out of 5 stars.. It's my fault, i failed to order more sauce and relied on their serving which is enough but for me, NO i want more, more, more! That sauce!

Mmm!

I'm full so i cant try their new ones with fries. Darn it, ugh!

When I first tried Halal guys during its hype, I didn't enjoy it.. It was just OK and was expensive. So I wanted to give it another try, I ordered their cheapest promo P99 just so I can taste it again. And here is the photo.. The meat tasted well, and the fries too. So for the price, yeah I ordered French Fries.

Been craving for this halal streetfood of NYC and the taste of the beef gyro was a bit different. The portion I got was the small size (on promo). The beef tender, vegetables were fresh, the rice and beef though were not served hot. But the pita bread is delicious. Crew were very nice.

I ordered their new york size sandwich which happens to be a roll (shawarma) rather than a sandwich, anyway i chose the falafel as meat and garlic aoli for the sauce, it was huge enough to be shared by me and my partner coz we also ordered a salad for a siding, upon payment something got my attention....

What made me curious was their hot sauce, besides it's packaging having a warning message the crew also reminds to take caution when putting their hot sauce, not to put too much because it's too hot, well i just got more curious and had the urge to try pouring the whole packet in one bite or two and so i did, well it was indeed hot as hell, the burning sensation ran down feom my throat to my stomach, felt the burn for a couple of minutes but it easily goes away 128567 it was a heck of an experience and i would like to have more!

Chicken over rice

I love chicken, and I love rice so there's no surprise that I got this. This is not my first time to eat something like this. We have one in Cebu by Jafar's and so far this one did not come close. 9996🏼️
This came with rice, cabbage, tomatoes and chicken. You have to pay extra for the goddamn onions and bell pepper. 🙄
The only win part to this food adventure was their hot sauce. This is the first time ever I've "tasted spicy" ever since I got into eating our local chili. Gooood, the feeling of a burning tongue is so good! 128293 This saved my eating experience because it was a blah without the spicy sauce.

Late for the crowd, but finally got to try Halal Guys!

During my short homecoming last weekend, my family brought me to Halal Guys in SM Megamall. Usually I was the one recommending food places to eat at, but with all their hype to this place, I obliged.

Luckily we were there before the lunch crowd, thus so many seats! (And my first time to visit SM Mega's new food hall. 128586)

We all got one small platter for each of us - and the Mixed Gyros Platter was my pick. It was sooooooo good!

I especially liked the white sauce (didn't bother to try the red one though hee hee!) and spread the garlic sauce on top as well. 128525128061

I would definitely be coming back for this - especially for Mediterranean cravings! 128513

After many attempts at last i was able to ate here this place is always a blockbuster. I tried the chicken over rice regular Im amazed with the taste bcoz im not a big fan of this kind of food i like how they combine the vegetables, rice and chicken with garlic sauce plus the pita bread i also tried the falafel its a vegetable patty but i think its not for me its has a certain after taste that i dont like. The serving is ok but bit pricey for everyday food. Over all i like it except falafel.

I really dont get the hype........? I had the Gyro over rice and my sister ordered Chicken over rice. Food tasted bland and I am definitely not gonna go back. I did not even finish my order which was only the small serving. Service was okay though because the staff was very friendly.

Why I loved TheHalalGuys? Its because they have the best tasting rice meal ever! I love the rice, the beef, the chicken, the tomatoes, the lettuce and the WHITE SAUCE! ohhhh the heavenly taste of TheHalalGuys' white sauce! Made me drool while making this review! I also like their fries. Perrrfect add on for one regular platter of gyro/chicken. Yummers! Though a bit pricey for Php 369.00 for one combo regular size platter but its worth the eat I must say. Remember not to eat anything before eating at TheHalalGuys because you'll surely get full. You can also get one regular size and share it with someone like a friend or with your boyfie/gf or your sister/brother, etc. But if you have a small tummy get their small size which cost Php 269.00. Small but still fully loaded! TheHalalGuys in Megamall can be located on Megamall's Fashion Food Hall Foodcourt. Located near the Iceskating Rink. I bit far from the entrance but worth looking for. This has been my 2nd time in TheHalalGuys and I will surely go back :) 3 thumbs up 128077128077128077 #henrysinstaxgiveaway

Craving for some mediterranean food so I headed to Halal Guys to fix my cravings. Its located at the 5th floor Sm Megamall food hall. Their menu is very straightforward they have platters, sandwiches and drinks. For the platter you can choose falafel, chicken or beef and can also choose combos which is the combination of chicken beef, falafel and beef.

Ordered their combo chicken and gyro small. One small bowl has lettuce, tomatoes, chicken and beef with two pitas on the side. They prepare your food while you pay luckily there were no long lines when I dined. Well for me I feel like Im eating burritto with their bowl but dont get me wrong it looks so simple but tastes favorful. Their combo is already a good deal because its juicy, not too dry or salty and well seasoned the white sauce brings more flavour to the dish no red sauce for me because I dont like spicy food

Though I ordered for small bowl it is already filling and servings were large. One order of their combo small is price for 260+ the service is fast since its in a fast food hall no need to wait for my order. As I write this review I am craving again for halal guys so Ill definitely go back for their combo chicken and gyro. Yummy.

True to other reviews and feedback from friends, I don't know what's the buzz about this joint. The food was just ok, nothing special. There are other restaurants that offer better tasting middle eastern fare. The food lacked the spices middle eastern food are known for. Even after putting some of the red spicy sauce it still was bland for me.

I guess it's the novelty that brought the crowd.

Tried: Chicken and Gyro Combo over Rice
