☑️ If you are looking for a quick get away? Staycation? This is a good place to try
☑️ a hidden oasis of tranquility in the center of busy Manila
☑️ Mid century interiors (very vintage) combined with modern amenities
☑️ Instead of the usual snacks in the mini bar. They serve Filipino classics like chocnut, cornick, dried mangoes etc
☑️ It also has a museum inside that you can visit
☑️ For breakfast, you get to eat at their inhouse restaurant- Apartment 1B
☑️ Excellent service, nice and friendly staff

HITS. This hotel is located near the airport and Mall of Asia/Arena. It’s a breath of fresh air within the busy streets of Manila. The old houses surrounded by lush greenery gives every guest a warm, nostalgic feeling.

The room is exceptionally clean. 5-star service, well trained staff.

MISS. The entire property is covered by tall trees thus, leaves are imminently falling into the pool area. It could be an option for the hotel to put a subtle roofing in the amenities. The entire visit is fantastic minus unavoidable traffic going in and out of the hotel.

Such a great space, does not feel like you're smack in the middle of Pasay City! 128156

Our staycation is in celebration of our wedding anniversary. I've read so much about this hotel, been planning a staycation for the longest time (should have been the first weekend of December but we were crazy busy), that on the day of our check-in we were slightly disappointed that it was raining so hard. I didn't think typhoon Onyok would bring so much rain here as the forecast was for a landfall in Mindanao.

Anyhow, we forged ahead. We made it to Pasay in about an hour from QC (thank you, Waze 128077🏼) with moderate to intense rainfall (parang si Mang Tani lang? 128513) and decent traffic. When we drove up the circular drive to the White House (what the reception/main lobby was called), hubby said "Looks good nga". I've shown him photos of the hotel but it still looks far better when you're actually there.

As it was raining, we had no choice but to stay in the room. Our room was a Classic Room. It was quite cozy, the room looked like something you'd find in a old ancestral home, but not spooky (Haha! More on this later 128521).

We had a king bed and fresh, comfy sheets, fluffy pillows and a warm comforter. We had a siesta, then headed over to Apartment 1B for a snack. We also had dinner & breakfast here. You really don't have any other option unless you go to Mall of Asia, and we were not up for it. Food was ok but pricey, service is attentive without being obtrusive.

As it rained and we could not really go around, we had an early night. It was so quiet, you won't feel like you're in Manila. Everybody had a good night's rest (no spooky apparitions 128521).

Thankfully, the sun shone the next day, and our daughter got to swim in the pool. It was small but adequate, although the water was very cold. Nevertheless, she had a lot of fun. I was lounging by one of several daybeds. It really felt like we were out of town with the nice garden by the pool, and we didn't have to travel very far! Check out was also a breeze.

This is one staycation my family and I would definitely like to repeat. My daughter said she enjoyed her stay 128522 Next time, we hope to be there and have better weather so we can explore the compound. This hotel truly is an oasis in the middle of the city. 128077🏼
