My friend won an overnight stay here in GreenSun Hotel and invited me and another friend to join him. Yehey lucky us a free stay cation. I usually hear GreenSun as a venue for bazaar and some concert gig didn't know that it was a full blown hotel. The hotel itself is located in Chino Roces area of Makati. An area that I seldom pass by. Its in the area near Alphaland Magallanes and Toyota Pasong Tamo.
We got a spacious Twin bed room. The place got some great art work piece along the hallway. What strikes me are the structure of the hotel from the hallway to the room. The walls and toilets of the room uses material similar to the walling of an airplane/cruise-ship. Learned from their website that this hotel used to be a car warehouse and they maintain the original industrial structure. That might be the reason. Weird at unique at the same time. With this kind of wall we can hear voices of people on the other room. The toilet was also very small. The bed itself was comfy and the TV was wide enough for a perfect stay cation. For their breakfast buffet nothing expectacular but food tasted good.
The venue place of the hotel was awesome. They have three great event venue place. The SOMA which is the smallest and connected to their Bistro. The AXON and the EYE, both are a great venue for its digital equipment.
Overall this a great staycation place in Makati. Price rate for the twinroom was around 2,000 PHP including the tax. Not bad considering its in Makati area and near the airport not just CBD area.

3-star accommodation in Makati for 1999. I don't think I can find any cheaper hotel in Makati that is as decent as this. It's a fairly sized hotel too, though only with 2-3 floors, it seems as if it has at least 50 rooms.
Green Sun is actually a complex with different areas, which include The Hotel, which I'm reviewing. Some of the reviews here are for The Eye - a 1000 sqm events venue with a 360 degree projector that is absolutely awesome. Gwen I, maybe | should distinguish the 2 as there are separate categories for hotel and venue.
For our stay -
Loved that it was clean. Bedroom was spacious, don't you just love that colorful statement piece on the wall? They also have artwork along the hall way. Bed was a little more firm than what I'm used to but still very comfy and we slept like a baby, nestled with soft pillows and thick comforter. We had 4 pillows in our room, 4 pillows! Even in 5 star hotels you would have to ask for extra pillows as the standard is only 2 per bed. AC was at the cold level we liked.
Toilet and shower is a bit small, made of hard plastic, like that of an RV / motor home. While it may be small, they leave enough space for the closet area right outside the t&b. Shower and faucet had both warm and cold water. Towel, shampoo, soap, toothbrush and toothpaste were provided.
Our room came with a tv, a few chairs, a desk and a small closet. No fridge.
We did not avail of the breakfast as we knew we could not wake up by 10am. Limited, secure parking is available outside the property, with about a couple of guards standing by. Check-in was a breeze, they didn't even ask for a security deposit. No other facilities though. Wifi super fast.
Our area had a scheduled Meralco power outage at 12MN which I forgot. Green Sun was one of the few places that readily answered my call at that hour (I didn't bother calling the more expensive ones, as sayang what we'll pay for half a night, but for sure may sasagot dun). Being close to my place we decided to go here. Saw a few neighbors too. This is not in the CBD so if you need to go Central then it will take some time with traffic. Without though you'll be there in 5-8 minutes.
Overall enjoyed our stay.

Went to this hotel for an event, but had to eat prior to registration so...we ordered a few items like their kimchi rice, tapa, and this sausage burger with potato wedges! A bit pricy at 190 but it will leave you with a full tummy so it isnt bad at all! The beef and sausage was tasty, it also had arrugula and lettuce, cheese, and tomatoes. In short - hindi tinipid
I noticed a music and arts section on the left side of the lobby. (guitars, paintings, statues and sculptures) Sadly wasnt able to feed my curiosity but it's all good
The lobby and restaurant was neat, but not well lit.. One would think it's an old hotel, or a bar open at midday.
