S'more pipettes, the best partner to liquid nitrogen! And the smoky ambiance. Fun way to experience ice cream.
Must try kapag nasa maginhawa. :) celeb my post birthday with my queen :)

Taking food art to a different level.

The Iscreamist is a cool place if you want to try something new.

We ordered Dragon's Breath S'mores which initially looked like regular graham crackers with wafer and marshmallow filling but morphs into a smoking frozen delight when you dip it in liquid nitrogen. You'll literally be breathing out smoke when you bite into it. The treat was not that good but fun to eat.

We also had their Frozen Cappuccino Sundae which we think was too pricey compared to other sundaes we've tasted.

Overall experience was just okay. Again if you're after a different food experience, Iscreamist should be included on your list.

With all the hype about nitrogen infused ice creams, this place has to be a must try. Altho there will always be a long queue outside this small little nitrogen lab, it's worth the wait.

What I liked about this place is the snapchat worthy, ice cream dipping. Haha. You get your s'mores, dip it in the liquid nitrogen cup and then it bubbles (i was amazed at first haha) and it's smoking like dry ice! Haha. Oh, it's gonna get stone-hard when not eaten immediately. LOL.

Worth the try but not worth the long drive from south. I mean, one-time big time fancy snapchats then i'm done. But, i don't mind going back. I prefer outré tho. Nearer and creamier. Haha!

finally got the chance to visit this ice cream parlor along maginhawa, actually the taste is just ordinary but what we like here was the experience :)
we ordered dragon's breath.. whew! dip it in for 7seconds in the liquid nitrogen, and prepare to exhale fire.. argh, oh, hahah.. i mean, that thick curtain of smoke 🌬 (careful guys, my tongue got some minor burns because i let it stayed a bit longer because i enjoyed the smoky effects)
me and my friends enjoyed playing with the desserts instead of savouring its' taste.. hahahah!

Such a cool place to go with friends!

Felt like a part of the Big Bang Theory cast. Ha ha ha!!

Got the Dragon's breath (PHP79 for 4 sticks of S'mores). It's okay but the concept totally rocks!

Cindy S and I were on a food trip at Maginhawa last time and the Iscreamist was one of our itineraries. She hasn't tried this before, that's why. 128541

We ordered S'mores with liquid nitrogen. I used to order macaron here before but I think it's no longer available.

Cool experience, promise. We enjoyed "smoking." Haha but be careful with the liquid nitrogen. It could cut your fingers, I heard. So the best way for a safer smoking experience:

1. Dip your S'mores in the can containing liquid nitrogen
2. Wait for about 5-7 seconds
3. Eat while it's still smoking (your friends should now be opening the camera 128514)
4. Smoke and enjoy. (And let your friends capture the moment).

P.S. Late review. Haha but nevertheless, Iscreamist still a must visit when you're planning a Maginhawa food trip. 128517 And did I mention you still have to wait for at least 15min to be seated? 9786

P.S.S. Sorry for our annoying faces. 128584

Situated in Magiting St. near the famous foodie hub Maginhawa, The Iscreamist is one of the coolest dessert experience I've had!

My friends and I had a food trip around maginhawa area and of course, we wouldn't want to end the day without having dessert.

We went to Iscreamist at around 5pm on a Saturday. Expect long lines, when I say long lines, it would even reach the streets already. Because the place is too small around 50sqm or even less I think, it's usually overcrowded. 20-30min waiting time.

Anyway, good thing my friends were able to enter right away. I ordered the famous S'mores Dragon's breath for P48. Surprisingly most of their desserts here are not so expensive considering you're actually going here for the experience and not for the food.

So my order came with a liquid nitrogen fresh from the kitchen haha! I have to dip my S'more to that to freeze it so that the cookies will become crunchy! The dessert is actually NORMAL. No special taste at all but the EXPERIENCE is actually what you are going here for. I had fun doing it and taking photos of me breathing the evaporated liquid nitrogen pretending i'm a dragon!

CAUTION: be careful with the liquid nitrogen. The Kuya's told us that it could cut your fingers. You can't dip your fingers on it. Nakakapaso siya, I swear. Muntik ko na matapon yung Liquid Nitrogen sa friend ko. Haha kinabahan talaga kami.

Anyway, overall it was a fun experience. I have tried other flavors na rin. It's good but nothing surprising. Pero it will definitely satisfy your sweet tooth if you're craving for dessert. Cool interior too and
It's definitely INSTAGRAMMABLE.

A bit expensive but worthy for the experience. Their ice cream concoctions are so full of flavors, meanwhile the dragon's breath was just ordinary. It is meant for the smoky breath experience.

It's a cool place. The foods are kinda pricey. We tried their famous Dragon's breath, 79 for four smores. Not bad but the smores kept on falling from the stick and it's a bit difficult to eat. But still okay. The staff aren't that nice at all. They're not even smiling! Just sayin.

A place to hang out with your friends to try something new! Although you need to wait outside because there is just a little space inside the Icecreamist. Just make sure to visit early. You don't need to worry if it is your first time, the menu is a little detailed so they make sure you'll love what you eat. Just don't touch the Nitrogen thingy. The staffs are cool & friendly. My friends had a great time here.

Ice cream is good- i ordered Strawberry Cheesecake and their famous Dragon Breath s'mores.. Unique in taste and of course its more fun to eat here than in normal ice cream shop coz of its nitrogen *which makes the food pricey BTW*

For their services, i only give them 1 11088️ star, they are very slow plus the staffs' are annoying and snob type! Long queue FYI, so better come early!!

We ordered nutella flavored and cappuccino flavored sundae at 198 pesos each. Yes it was expensive. But the ice cream was very good. It wasn't your ordinary ice cream that you buy at the convenience store. Maybe the price was high was due to the nitrogen thingy.

The new location is better coz it's now bigger and can accomodate more customers however you will still wait outside for your turn. Nutella Ice Cream is realllly good!

My sister Chantal C always ask me to bring her here because she saw my instagram post and everytime she's here, maginhawa area is always out of the way.

This time, we really planned to pass by iscreamist for dessert. When we got to the place, its already closed. disappointed, I decided to stalk them on fb and saw them comment that theyre still there but now across the street from the old place, so we made a U-Turn and went back. After a while we found the place. Its inside the building.

So happy that their place is now bigger but still service is quite slow and there is still a waiting line.

We ordered 3 of the the famous Dragon's breath for 75php/order and 2 of the ice cream which cost 198/order for approx a scoop with a lot of toppings. Quite pricey but my sister's experience was great. :)

This part, you may or may not read, it's just a reason for my low star rating considering my sister had fun haha!

I'm giving 3 stars for the super slow service. I know it takes time to make the desserts but I hope they find a way to speed it up. Parang its not worth waiting for 40minutes just to eat the one scoop in 3 minutes, also considering the price that we pay. Meh.

It's also uncomfortable sitting under the blue lights,
i understand that these things that I'm about to mention are their store concept but good planning of spaces is one thing you should consider to satisfy the customers, right? The intense blue lights made me dizzy and feel faint + the super uncomfortable stools with wheels that are super slippery for the floor and too high for the table(with no leg room), not so okay considering you do wait quite long for orders to arrive. I mean these would be great if you dont stay too long because at first its feels fun but later after being frustrated with the waiting time and the lights and furniture. Its not so fun anymore 128543

The place is very small, you have to wait minimum of 10minutes before you can come inside. The interior was ok, sakto lang.

It's my second time here but my experience is better than the first.
I'm with my family and we ordered S'mores, Nutella and Pistachio.

Their ingredients for nutella changed, before it was too plain. It's just plain nutella ice cream. But now, it haz mango, almonds or whatever in it, basta it tastes so good!!

I'm so happy that they heard my prayers to move to a different place! Now they transfered to a bigger and better place to accommodate for more customers. As usual, we ordered Dragon's Breath ( A friend of mine really wanted to try this place, so we accompanied her). There's nothing more I can say but we really enjoyed our stay. We were laughing at how each of us blowed the smoke from the Smores. 128514
