Always crowded and I understand why. Legit good chinese food and quality is top notch. You have to try their version of beef salpicao (that's not what it's called) but it's beef cubes, garlic and 100% yummy.

Pro tip: make a reservation.

This place is always packed! Come early or book early.

The spare ribs was divine as well as the lapu lapu.

Tried the frogs legs..."taste like chicken"!

Tsing Tao is best match for chinese food.

A LEGEND indeed! Reminded me of president restaurant in Binondo during their hay days!

You really don't have to sell places like this too much. Some restaurants were born to be awesome. This chinese restaurant along Macapagal avenue is a perfect example. No need for all our marketing online. What they have is the experience of people that turns to word of mouth marketing. This is a place for families. This is a place for the authentic taste you want in your Chinese good experience. The seafood is fresh, everything is just spot on in taste. So come here with your friends, enjoy the food, and be satisfied with the experience!

Had lunch here with my family earlier today.

We ordered some dimsum, cold cuts, goat hot pot and lastly... "Braised pigs knucles!"

This dish that really caught my attention. It is slowly cooked with chinese herbs and spices. Very, very tender and the tatse is so rich!

I highly recommend this dish but be sure to have your B. P. checked first 128521

Met up with family for dinner here at Legend. In this type of setting I never have control over what dishes are ordered, but since I knew Legend is known for their seafood, I knew what to expect.

My aunts ordered the neon shells in garlic-soy sauce, stir fried local scallops with beans, sea cucumber in abalone sauce and lots of crab.

The neon shells were by far the best dish of the night. The sauce highlighted the shellfish so well that my whole table was delighted by how tasty it was.

Both the crab and sea cucumber dishes were average, but my aunt complained about how the serving size for the sea cucumber was so small. I don't particularly care for sea cucumber because of it's texture.

The local scallops were as tough as rubber! It was a nightmare to chew...good luck digesting it.

At the end of the meal they served us with complimentary tikoy! That's a first for me...I think it's because they had a lot of tikoy to get rid of from Chinese New Year. Hahaha!

Service was incredibly slow! Well maybe because there were tons of people holding their Chinese birthday parties there but really unforgiveable because it was around 1.5-2 hours late! Food was okay but nothing spectacular. Some food was a tad bit too salty and I felt sorry for the crabs that died. It was an okay experience.

Since traffic was heavy along Roxas, we made a detour to this restaurant. It's our usual place for birthday treats amongst office mates and it never disappoints. Service, as always, is very good.

Quality Chinese food with a twist. It took a while for our orders to arrive but forgivable once we tasted the food! 128525128513

They have really good Chinese food. I have to commend their Yang Chao fried rice, its just full of flavor! It can be eaten on its own.

The taro puff is also a must-try. The filling is rich, tasty and sweet. The puff just enhances its flavor. This could actually be a dessert.

I also tried their peking duck in 3-ways. It was good! Better than Mandarin Palace. The chinese pancakes were fine and everything was well done and not messy.

We celebrated my aunt's 80th birthday here. We had a 10 or 12 course Chinese lauriat meal fit for a king.

Felt super bloated from all the food including lots of take-out. I think we ate the leftovers for 3 straight days. At least the food still tasted good!

This place has the freshest seafood! Shrimps, crabs, abalone, you name it!

Only downside is that you'll stay away from Chinese food for a while after slipping into a food coma. 128513

Much better than what I thought this place taste like based on past visits. The fish, crab, shrimp, and pigeon are superior or at par with any in the country. Service much like in any Chinese restos can be better.

For many Chinese (especially here in the country), lauriats are a staple for special occasions. Huge servings of fresh seafood, meats, noodles, fried rice and desserts, often with more of these plates than heads on the table, to fill a lazy susan or round rotating tray on the table top.

This I believe is a exemplification of the Chinese belief that celebration food should be overflowing, not lacking. Back then, and even in instances today, it was a kind of a shame if food gets finished (even by force) because that implies that you do not have enough to feed your guests, correct me if I am wrong. Contrastingly--I am not sure if this is the same case in fiestas, in the Filipino culture, it is more polite to finish the food offered to you because that would mean the food is good.

To clarify, I am talking about both cultures in the context of having lots of food to celebrate. I think that as an individual, I am a tad more of a Filipino in this category.

As a Chinese, I have had the opportunity to try many different lauriats to say that today's was pretty average. The food was good but there wasn't anything spectacular about the taste, having had much to compare it to. I loved the fresh seafood though! You can almost never go wrong with live seafood!

I think I prefer the a la carte rather than the lauriat setup here in Legend. I used to love their taro prawns--fried prawns with a sweet mayo sauce and topped with fried thin shreds of taro, which they didn't order, huhu.

Wheee karting after! Yes, right after. I was THAT determined :)) It was so neaaarrrr, I couldn't resist! Plus, I just had to take advantage of a sponsored run by my dad that I didn't care if people were watching or if I interrupted the motocrossers practicing or that I was running alone in the blazing heat of the noon, hahaha! Sweaty happiness :)

I digress. So anyway, if I'm back for a lauriat here, it probably wouldn't have been my decision, but I'd say Legend is not bad at all. Order some live seafood if you do take a visit. Plus, the place is big and nice too!

is one of the decent Chinese restaurant i have ever eaten at in the Phil. same goes to it's food quality & price range. Recently I had ordered Salted Egg Yolk Shrimp (specifically asked them to remove the shell) they did a wonderful job and the outcome- to die for! (see pic)

They put so much msg in their food that's why it tastes good but feels unhealthy. The manager promised us a discount because we had his friend dining with us but when the bill came, we got a full price of 9K for 6 people! Crazy. Many better Chinese restaurants out there.
