We were checked in at The Manor in Camp John Hay. This is my favorite hotel in Baguio. In fact, I dream to get married here. There is something about the log cabin theme, fireplaces and the smell of pine and flowers that have me mesmerized by the Manor.

Clearly, this is a five star hotel so everything is the best, from the hospitable and respectful staff (even housekeeping greets you when you pass them on the halls), the grounds, spacious well ventilated rooms, soft linens and pillow, and most of all, the food.

Need I mention they offer free pressed coffee? And their snackbar is stocked wonderfully with these homemade Baguio specialties!

We decided to take a few photos in their garden. At the edge of the garden you have a picturesque view of trees, mountains and rolling clouds. There is also the friendship garden and an awesome carved tree.

Nothing like fresh Baguio pine breeze for a retreat! Wether it be with your love one, family and even by yourself!

I have a full video on the room tour on my youtube and blog. Pls do visit!

Stayed at the Manor for a weekend getaway. They have a promo rate for the rainy season which is a really good deal.

They were fully booked so we weren't able to get a two bedroom suite. We were able to book a one bedroom suite and a studio unit though. The one bedroom suite is not as spacious and grand as their 2 bedroom suite but it's stil cozy and beautiful. Really great for having a good time and relaxing with friends.

I also liked that they have an in-house nurse. Didn't know they have one. If you're feeling unwell the nurse will check you up and give you first aid. The nurse was friendly as well.

First hotel in Baguio I ever stayed at and probably the best. From the service, food, the rooms and everything. I bet nothing can top my experience at The Manor. The hotel had the fastest wifi in all fairness which is accessible to almost any part of the hotel even the garden. They even have complementary hot tea and sweets (marshmallows, jelly beans and popcorn) for their guests at the lobby while you wait or even when you pass by the lobby going to your room. The rooms with the balcony (superior and 1 bedroom with sala) are the best since you would have an incredible view of the garden and Baguio itself.

We tried the Buffet Breakfast on the last day of our stay and it didn't disappoint. The servers were very accomodating and the food was delicious. They had all kinds of cold cuts, a taho station (with strawberries), unli bacon, different kinds of bread and dessert, an egg station (haha) where you can request what kind of eggs you want for breakfast, the fruits and vegetables are crisp and fresh, the hot chocolate was so rich and tasty plus the coffee was damn good. We opted to seat at the garden para pwedeng mag-muni muni while you have breakfast. What an incredible experience. Pretty sulit for me even if it costs 720 each (no service charge for guests staying at the hotel). 128147

Very nice place to spend the holidays. The place is so nice. I tried the buffet and loved the ham. The most tender I have ever tasted. It literally melts in your mouth.

When you're lying in bed and you suddenly woke up around 3 or 4 in the am and your room is full of fog, you'll have to stare for a while to make sure you're not dead or in a horror movie lol. I'm pretty sure you won't forget how that felt or looked like 128563 too. I liked how woodsy this hotel felt like, it is a cabin type hotel that's a little merry for me. I guess they're trying to keep it that way by not taking away some here and there christmas decos haha anyway, staff is nice and kind, very accommodating. They provided us two hotel refs for all the meat we bought from vigan. They have no ac but that's really not necessary when in Baguio. The room is spacious and cozy though the beddings sort of feel old? 128528. If you're traditional, I'd say stay here. It's perfect for family and big groups. Very reasonable rates too :)

How could you not give 5 stars to this cozy, warm-feeling place. The room is clean and cold even without aircon. Staffs are accommodating and friendly. I was not able to get a garden view room so I was a little bit sad, so a tip... reserve a room ahead of time. 128077๐Ÿป

This is the ultimate place to stay in when in Baguio. There are other less expensive places but The Manor gives you everything from peace and quiet time, to comfort and good service. Not the mention the great CJH where they are located :) up to 50% booking when done online!

I wanted to escape from Manila's hot humid weather for a few days, so I booked a few nights at The Manor. The hotel is quite charming, with its Alpine chalet-ish architecture and rustic ambience. As you step into the lobby, there is a fireplace crackling in the middle of the room and lots of heavy timber and stone furnishings. The staff greet you with a warm smile. There are even free snacks at the check-in area, yay.

Our room was spacious yet cozy, with 2 double beds, and en-suite bath and a view of the forest. I love that they provide complimentary brewed coffee (they have sachets of ground coffee and a French press) instead of the yucky instant coffee variety. One minus point: I had indicated in our reservation that there will be 3 adults staying in the room, yet we only had 2 towels. I had to call housekeeping to request for more towels. Also, I wasn't too comfortable with their pillows - I found them to be too hard. There is no airconditioning but this is Baguio - all you need to do is open the windows (there are protective screens so mosquitoes can't enter) and turn on the ceiling fans.

The Manor is located inside Camp John Hay, amidst pine trees, making it a perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the main Baguio city area, and giving you that actual feeling of being up in the mountains. They also have a lovely garden where you can walk around, sit on benches and read a book, or have your kids play in the playground. It's a short walk away from the Filling Station which is a small complex of shops and restaurants.

I was also happy to find out that their wellness center offered regular yoga classes - and hot yoga classes at that! Perfect - I could still work out even while on vacation. :)

Food is superb. Service is a big fail. Stayed here after lunch to get dessert and coffee just to admire the ambiance and the nice scenery in this hotel. Black coffee is good and that mudpie is great.

The problem with this visit is their servers. The one who took our order is having a bad day I guess or PMS. HE said "may order na sila?" "Ano sa inyo?" We ordered. "Ano pa?" while frowning. And kamukha nya si Diego ng Bubble Gang! That is a big factor why we got really mad. Place mat is dirty (sticky and with crumbs). Coffee served without teaspoon that we have to call them again and again. Hayz.

Delayed post!

Spent a weekend here with wifey to escape the mayhem of the papal visit in Manila. Poor us, everyone had the same idea!

Baguio traffic was horrible! Manor was fully booked as well. Eating out was out of the question because of traffic. Everyone though the same thing! Imagine everyone eating at the manor but manor was unprepared and undermanned! I know they tried their bests but for an expensive weekend get away. We were still expecting manor to be at the top of their game!

Hotel wise... Great hotel! Clean, great beds, clean showers ! I like the piano bar. Food was ok... Nothing mind blowing but very good.

I'll be back but not on a holiday!

I love Manor Hotel! Baguio = Manor Hotel. I mean my Baguio experience would not be complete if I would have to stay elsewhere. I love this Hotel! It's ambience, decorations, rooms, pillows, beds, and services are excellent.

First, this place is in Camp John Hay and it has a convenient location, which is walking distance from the duty free shops and a few minutes drive to the restaurants in Camp John Hay.

The room's bed and pillows are fantastic and very soft. The bathroom is nice and they even offer "panghilod rocks" which I thought was very cute.

They have excellent service from their staff. They are all very friendly and super accommodating although it does take longer for them to accomplish the check in and check out paperwork than other hotels in Manila.

Internet access is available but it is not as fast as I would want it to be. There are times it would be intermittent as well.

They have a beautiful (and large) garden that they decorate. It's fun to walk around that area and to see the landscape, plants, flowers or just hang out there to enjoy the view.

The garden and hotel are very well maintained.

I will make a separate review on their buffet/ restaurants.

There is no aircon in the room but you don't need it, you're in Baguio! They have ceiling fans and they placed screens in the windows to protect you from insects while letting the cool air in.

I love this place and I will always go back here! 128151128522

I was expecting excellent food given that Manor is a hotel, and the dishes are pricey.

The French onion soup was pretty good. Though the Laing was gross - like baby food in consistency, and yucky in taste.

Had the buffet breakfast the next day, and it was standard. Good Filipino dishes (longganisa, etc).

Overall, the dining experience is nothing stellar.
