For security reasons it’s not open to the public, nevertheless, it is one of the most popular attractions in the City of Flowers. The Mansion is the official residence of the president of The Philippines located in Baguio City. There, you can see tourists taking photos by the gates, ensuring that the embossed lettering of The Mansion is included in the frame. Beyond the expanse of the manicured hill is a white-painted house, of Spanish colonial revival architecture, built in 1908. Even when you’re just looking outside you will be charmed for indeed it’s a beautiful sight, but The Mansion has so much more to offer. The first time I saw this place was in December of 2007. Just like everyone else I didn’t go any further than the gates. But in 2006, I wasn’t like everyone else. Back then I was still working at the Presidential Security Group (PSG), the group that protects the president of the repulic. Hence, I’ve had the chance to stay in this place and saw the beauty hidden from the public view.

It is the perfect month of the year to visit Baguio and I admit it was my first time going here and I definitely enjoyed everything. Cold weather, going out of the house in sweaters, sleeping without an aircon on or a fan to keep you cool. It was super cold there like 14 degrees celsius at night. 128567
Anyways, this review is about The Mansion, idk if you can walk straight inside the Mansion but most of the people were at the gates taking pictures. It caught my attention that they have really huge gates and it was an awesome backdrop for picture taking, hahaha! 128514
Since there was a lot of people switching places, exchanging phones to have their picture taken I've decided to have this shot instead (see attached picture).
There isn't much about this place aside from it's historical background and architectural facade but in front of the Mansion is the Wright Park (next review) 128521

The mansion offers tourists with great photo opportunities with its rectangular reflecting pool along a tree-lined walkway. It also houses a museum of presidential memorabilia. We just dropped by and took photos.

The only tourist spot we visited without eating. Lol. There's nothing you could actually do here but just took photos or selfies with the mansion behind you (like 800meters away or so).

Drive by.... Instant photo op... But not much to do here really ... But Just to see the official presidential residence at the summer capital from afar... This is the strip of water feature from across the mansion... A nice place for some quiet time to enjoy nature & the beautiful weather

Belle and I enjoyed the shoot at the entrance but it would have been better if we could also go inside the mansion

We just passed by for photo op since it was near the place where we had lunch. 128517

Nothing exciting to see here. Just a view from afar of the Malacanang Palace in the North.127972

The guard was selling memorabilias like mugs, pens and keychains with PNoy's face. 128527 They also had stickers with the President's seal which you can put it in your car. Hmmm, is that even allowed?! 128530 tsk tsk!
