Noisy. They're tearing the place down. Lots of debris. I don't even dare walk near here. My precious paws might get stubbed.

Tegan and Sara Live in Manila
This venue is perfect for T&S because they're an indie band with less audience. Nevertheless, they made an awesome show! The place was not that big and we felt intimate with the artists, even though I just got a Silver ticket. Not sure how the bouncers treated this artist who complained on Twitter... Maybe he(or she) was expecting VIP treatment and he didn't get it. And I bet he's not even a big fan. Tegan and Sara's concert at NBC Tent was FUN!!!

Yey! Got invited to a trade event again. I really missed these things. Got to see & talk to former officemates, etc. TV5 presented their new lineup of shows as well as their talents.
Hope that these would help in boosting their ratings.
Yes, the original team of Tropang Trumpo is there, except for some. They have brought back The Battle of the Brainless!
Event was catered by Bizu. They had some canapes & sliders being passed around for appetizers. The other food there are 3 types of pasta. As usual for these types of events, free flow drinks hehe. Cheers!

The xx : Live in Manila
July 30, 2013
First off, mucho thanks the brother-in-law for providing my friends and I with the VIP passes.
The VIP section was set-up like a lounge, with tables and cushioned benches. And although it was situated at the other end of the hall opposite the stage, it was the only area in the venue that was elevated.
The benefits were clear once the opening acts started performing. Our position on these platforms gave us a clear view of the stage, two feet above the heads of the xx faithful.
Another advantage? Being in the same area as Anne Curtis and her sister Jasmine. Hence the photo-ops. Sweet!
After the opening performances by Taken By Cars and Up Dharma Down, the bright spotlights were switched on. Intentional or not, the thirty minute lull slowly simmered the crowd into a subdued frenzy. It was as if someone had lit a fuse, with the explosives threatening to blow the venue up at any moment.
And explode it did.
When the dynamic trio walked onto the stage, the resulting positive pandemonium was incredible. It was akin to a buzzer-beating game-winning shot in the last game of a DLSU-AdMU championship series.
Yes, it was visually obvious from that crowd of almost 3,000 that the xx has a significant following in the Philippines. Crammed into that relatively small tent, their intense dedication to this band was simply astounding. The faithful sang with every song, responded to every statement made, and held on to every word that came out of the group's inspired mouths.
In spite of Oliver Sim's deep and brooding voice, the audio was crisp and clear. The lighting effects were spellbinding. All in all, it was a brilliant aural and visual spectacle.
And everyone was flat-out having an awesome time.
The NBC Tent was a fantastic host that night. In spite of the crowd, their A/C held up. The restrooms were relatively clean and stocked with paper towels the whole night.
The great thing about having an event in a venue like this is that they start out as a blank canvas. And at the end of the night you can make it look however you want -- be it for a wedding, a bazaar, a corporate event or, in this case, a concert.
The only problem is that their parking lot is reserved for staff, crew and anyone connected to the event. If you're a visitor, you'll have to find a slot at any of the lots around the tent and walk your way to the venue.
Congratulations on a great job Random Minds! Cheers!
And for a special | shout-out...
I found out later that night that this concert had the makings of a "looloo worlds colliding" moment, as a fellow loolooer was also in attendance. Too bad Chelle C, hopefully we get to meet soon.
