A must go place for all potter heads!

Their Butter beer is ah-mazingly yummy, i was just a little disappointed that hagrid's size is just 12oz heheeh..

Pasta is delicious also as well as their best selling Nook Overload burger!

You can feel the wizardry magic in every corner and every meal they serve :)

Unleashed my Potterhead spirit last night. And I was like, transported into the wizarding world of the famous wizard of all time!!!! 9889

It was actually my 3rd try to get in this chic cafe in Maginhawa and presto! I could dine inside! My last 2 attempts was the cafe was so full and has long queues outside. Hooray! I was so happy! 128517

When we got inside the 2nd floor was then occupied sad! But hey I said! We could fit in on the 1st level. The place was too small that it could only accommodate max of 15 people only. There was the cupboard of Harry, books to read (I was really curious with the book I got, "before I do" it's for the ladies out there who wants to get married but are not yet prepared with the resposibilities. LOL), there are robes too that you can try and take your selfie! 128521📸

As for the food, I ordered the following:

9889 The Nook Overload 1108811088110881108811088 220php
It is really good for sharing. It was a sandwich topped soooo many fries then garnished with parmesan cheese and drizzled with catsup, mayo and mustard. Sarap nung sausage!

9889 The Golden Snitch 1108811088110881108811088 35php
This was too cute to eat! It is a dark chocolate with gooey chocolate in the inside. I love it!

Of course, the main entree why a muggle like me, wants to visit this place:

9889The Butter Beer !!! 11088110881108811088 Hagrid's Size 150php
It tastes like a melted St. Peter Ball candy (correct me if I am wrong w/ the name of the candy128517) it was sooooo sweet! I think I should try it hot or try the new version, the Butter Beer Float.

I will comeback here and try out other entrees they offer.

Always. 9889

The Nook Cafe is unique in a way that it incorporates some Harry Potter elements into their small but cozy cafe. It magically pulls you into a world of nostalgia and enchanting memories of teenage addiction to the world of witchcraft and wizardry. Getting here isn’t really that hard as it is located at 164 A Maginhawa Street, Sikatuna Village.

When I stepped in, I didn’t think that the place is small. I think it can cater for around 10 to 15 persons only. On the second floor, you’ll see more of Harry Potter books and other non-fictional stuff. They also have board games that you can borrow to level up your dining experience.

One of the most amazing experiences here is to make yourself an instant Hogwarts student. Something that we’ve all dreamed of someday became reality in a short while. Just present your ID to rent the costumes and wands. Isn’t that cool?!

Okay, so all of us have been waiting for the food. This is going to be the main event and we were excited to try them out. For starters, they offer coffee beverages, pastries, finger food & pasta. Not a heavy meal you think but, the serving may take your tummy full.

It was indeed a wonderful experience. The unique experience is all worth it. We’ve been planning to visit here a long time ago, and finally, we’re here! I’ll definitely go back to this place soon and invite another circle of friends. The butterbeer is just awesome and a must-try. I just hope that they’ll get a more spacious place because it’s hard when you have a lot of customers and the place becomes constricted and noisy if the other table is not considerate enough. But, overall, thumbs up!

Living on the south side of the Metro, going to QC can be a hassle because of the traffic . But today, was able to get a chance since our company activity was held at QC area. Having limited time on hand , I've decided to head to Nook Cafe to try the talked about Butterbeer. I ordered for small mug size priced at 100pesos. Butterbeer is like the candy Butterball in liquid form. Coming here, I did not really go for their food but more of the Harry Potter theme and of course the Butterbeer. It was fun trying on the costumes and getting in the character 128540. Harry Potter fanatics will love this place. It has even HP books that you can read while dining in. The place is small. It could only accommodate a handful. It has wall sockets for those bringing their laptops or to charge phone battery.

My friends and I dropped by this cafe during our Maginhawa food trip. We were the first customer for the day, so we're lucky to have gotten a good place on the second floor. Of course, there's that hammock at the corner. Super relaxing, it was easy to declare it as my favorite place in the cafe.

FOOD--We got to taste a number of items from their menu. We started with The Nook Overload, a bun with sausage and an overload of potato fries. Even without the bun, I think this overload of fries would be good enough as a starter. The chicken wrapped in bacon was my favorite. Super tasty. I think everyone visiting this cafe should get to taste it. We also tasted their pesto pasta and some frappes. Although not outstanding to me, they were good. Of course, not to miss for a complete Harry Potter experience is their famous butterbeeer and golden snitch!

AMBIANCE--The ambiance is truly Harry Potter, thanks to the books, the mural, and the props (wand, robes) that give the place that magical feel. The cafe, however, is small--which is why I'm rating 4.5 for ambiance. But, with the small space that it currently got, The Nook still delivers a unique experience. It can be crowded though on some parts of the day. The cafe was also clean and tidy.

PRICE--Affordable and reasonable.

WAITING TIME--Good. No long wait times when we went.

CUSTOMER SERVICE--Great. The staff and owners, as busy as they were, found time to answer some of our questions. They also smile, which is very important.

Overall, it was a great and unique experience. I later learned that some of my friends have also been here and they have only good words about the cafe.

Had to try it. Now I did.
Not great, but better than just good.
Sweet, but not too sweet. Has buttery goodness to add a twist to what may have been cream soda.

Such a cool place in the midst of the busy streets of Teacher's Village.

Born out of love for the Harry Potter franchise, Nook Café serves snacks, drinks and so on for the hungry wizard in you.

My friend and I had Butterbeers (Harry at PHP100) as well as the Nook Overload (PHP220). The beer was too sweet for my liking while the Nook Overload had the yummiest fries. Although the sausage was too small to even fit inside the roll. Oh and it had some Bacon too! But don't expect anything grand. Well, in my opinion, the fries were the best part of it.

Crew were too friendly also. To the point na minsan feeling close. Made me a bit uncomfortable pero okay lang. Am still alive naman diba. Ha ha ha!

This place is small so be sure to be early and to not bring your whole barkada. Baka hindi kayo magkasya. Then you need to keep it down since they don't like noisy people inside the café. 128517

The famous butter beers of Nook Café inspired from the Harry Potter film.

Actually, this was our second time to visit the place hoping we can dine in but still no luck. The first time we visit, 4hrs has passed and we were still waiting outside. We had to ask for take out (nalang) just to try the butterbeers!

How was it? It felt like drinking sprite with toffee nut syrup. That's it. It also tasted like white rabbit candy. Hahahaha 128517 And you guys, this costs P100.00 for this tiny cup. Tsssk

I finally got to check out and visit The Nook Cafe at Maginhawa, QC. It has been talked about for quite a while now because it's a Harry Potter inspired cafe.

We got there at around past 9PM and it was really full! The place was so small. Its first floor can accommodate only 10 people and the second floor can accommodate the same number of pax too.

The interiors had some little Harry Potter designs including a drawing of the exterior of Hogwarts, a cut out of Hedwig, a display of some robes, broomsticks and articles related to Harry Potter. There's this cupboard under the stairs that showed how Harry's room looked like (in the photo). Basically, those were some that I can remember.

Their menu didn't have so much variety. They had some drinks and desserts and a few snacks and that's it.

So, I ordered their Butterbeer, Harry size, for 100 pesos and it tasted just fine for me, nothing too spectacular about it. I just liked the foamy taste after you drink it. It's not too sweet as well, right enough for my tastebuds.

So, I did expect something different from this cafe but I was disappointed and might not go back here after a long while.

Being a Harry Potter fan, I actually had high expectations of this place cos I've been hearing about this for quite a while now. The place was so tiny that we had to wait for more than half an hour just to get a seat. Music choice was not suited for the ambiance of the place. Their butterbeer was just okay, but loved their matcha though 128154

Calling all the Potterheads!! It's a must to go place for us HP lovers! Awsome interior tho the place tends to get easily crowded because it's too small. Hopefully they can have a much bigger place for us.128149 liked the butter bear but Im more into Mrs Graham's better beer.128516 I also tried the hammock and the robes, super love the idea. Will visit soon....128521

Raise your wands for Professor Snape and pay tribute to the half-blood prince.

A tiny, tiny, tiny mecca for Potterheads. I mean, really small place to visit. People were coming steadily to the place, most had to leave because the waiting time was just way too long. For those that stayed like us, it took us over an hour to get in. We arrived at 4PM and got in after 5PM. We couldn't leave, Raf M, who was wearing a Hufflepuff shirt and Hufflepuff wrist band, was so anxious to get in. I mean 20 customers in there is really sardines level na. As much as we would've loved to chill there, the thought of the long line made us leave about 15 mins after we finished our food.

Pretty fun though to see a few memorabilia there. Not sure if everything's legit, but we did see the snitch, a box of chocolate frogs, owls, a broom, books (Twilight anyone?) and the Daily Prophet. There's a small door under the stairs, you know, for Harry Potter, who's room is under there. You can borrow wands form the counter and try the robes. Raf wore the yellow one the whole time we were there. How fascinating it was to see visitors have a blast trying on the robes and acting out in their photos. They must be wicked fans of the movie.

There's a beautiful mural there made by What the EF (according to the sign - IG: @dingfloresding @cassstillo), which my son says is Hogsmeade. You can see part of the mural on my photo here.

Food is alright. That butterbeer was sickly sweet. You know that butterball candy? This is liquid butterball. Diabetes in a frothy cup. Funny though but Raf, 3 hours later, tells me he thinks the drink is gross because I just told him I think it's just made of flavoring and water. They have 2 sizes - a Harry and a Hagrid (150). If you call a drink the Hagrid size though, people like me would expect a mega mug.

Got myself a chocolate matcha frappe. I didn't taste any matcha. I did like the chocolate bits though. Americano for my husband was ok. A macchiato for Yaya, she said it was ok too. Chocolate cake was ok. Raf loved the grilled cheese panini. Of course all the eating and drinking was done after offering a moment of silence for the professor.

They don't accept reservations. No sense to keep asking how long the wait time is because all you can do is wait for the current ones to leave. At least the cafe doesn't rush their customers. They don't take your numbers either so don't expect them to text you if your turn is up. The 2 guys there were very accommodating despite the chaos.

If you haven't been to any HP parks (btw, they're opening the California park this year), this is good place to visit and be surrounded by crazy fans of the movie.

After all this time? Always.

Are you a Potterhead? Then, you must visit The Nook!
This quaint Harry Potter themed cafe is located in Maginhawa - Quezon City's food sanctuary.

Ambiance: The place is really small and can only cater less than 20pax at a time. So expect to see long queues of guests outside the shop. I hope they'll rent a larger space sooner because the cafe always becomes too crowded.

While waiting for your orders, you may pick-up some board or card games to chase your boredom. We got UNO and stayed for 4hours playing the game in the cafe.

By the way, they have a mini common room upstairs where you can just lie down and relax or play with your friends.

Food: So what's the main purpose of visiting the cafe? Well, aside from catching up with my college friends, we also wanted to try their version of the famous drink from the Wizarding World - BUTTER BEER!

Served in a mini beer mug, The Nook's butter beer version lived up with the description of the book. This Harry-Potter inspired drink is frothy, and a perfect mix of caramel and butterscotch. And it's non-alcoholic. I thought that when it was first served to us, it will not be enough to suffice our cravings. But no! It's just the right dosage to satisfy our taste buds.

We also got a plate of cheese potato wedges and grilled cheese panini, so we can munch while playing UNO.

Price: Their menu is affordable. The price of their beverage ranges from 45php to 140php. While their food and pastry costs from 95php to 140php.

We can't wait to be back on this cafe. Hoping that next time, we can try staying on their common room.

#12Days
