This is the place to be! On a Monday night--- not! Lol.

Kidding aside, it's a little serene and ghostly during our short visit here thankfully there's this lively music to keep us tugs tugz in our office attires. Though we did not get to swim in the philippine's first day club with swimming pool, let me give you some insights on what to find here.

Thanks to EJ B he called up the pool club to have us in the guest list. It's free entry on sundays to fridays but if you want to swim, pay PhP500 inclusive of one drink, locker and towel. It's PhP800 entrance fee on Saturdays though inclusive of 2 drinks, swim band and towel. Get ready to be inspected and frisked upon entry.

There are couches near the bar and air conditioned cabanas for reservation.
There are two main bars in the pool club wherein the bar nearest the exit only opens on a weekend. Weekday happy hours on 5-11pm while 3-9pm on sundays. Be sure to wear proper attire if you're swimming but definitely any attire will do if you're not swimming.

There's the valkyrie nightclub, the brewery, cafe naya (where you could have something heavy to eat) and revel room.

It's always summer here in the pool club (yes even on rainy Monday nights)

*tugs tugs tugs* Wait, is it spelled "tugz"? Uhmmmm... Anyway...

I have been part of Titas of Manila even before it became a term. I was even an honorary member when I reached 3 years old thanks to my early exposure to caffeine. My friends could not picture me partying or even drinking alcohol. Not sure if it has something to do with my rather innocent sounding name or if it is because I give this strict mom vibe. Well, I could party. I just need an afternoon nap and power nap at 8 p.m. just to be sure. 128521

One of my officemates was about to be a Mrs. and we figured it would be nice to change things a bit. So we opted to visit The Palace. Woohoo.

"Di pa ba tayo aalis? 11 p.m. na. Antok na ako."

Care to guess who said that? 128514

We left my place around 12 midnight and when we got to the "happening" place, it was just half full. Apparently people come in around 1:30 to 2 a.m. (I must have traveled a bit in dreamland by that time!)

I didn't feel like spending for alcohol so I just danced using my favorite move... The Rock. (The music was quite good when we went. There was even a man on stilts with laser lights on stage.) While having fun, we bumped into A's friends who gave us some shots. We also got some from other guests thanks to our bride to be's sash. Weee! 10084

But I realized that I'm too old to party. I'd rather have tea at 2 a.m. while watching Vikings or Narcos.

The place was okay. It was really nice, actually. I just really didn't like the food they served when we had our office Christmas Party. And the bar was always out of the drinks we wanted.

It's my friend's birthday and she celebrated it here. I haven't been to any clubs in months - even years and last night i made an exception. 128514 it's also my first time in this area and my oh my clubs have changed immensely.

We arrived probably around 8pm but her birthday party started at 3pm. Kamusta ang late arrival. Nice music and the whole set up 128076🏼

Was there for an event, and so was lucky to have a couch reserved for us. :)

The staff was super attentive.
The ventilation was also great.
Drinks of course, tasted great too! 127863

We've had two of our company parties here already and I had to wait for the second one before deciding to give the place 2 stars.

Potentially, this can be a good party venue. It was a clever idea situating a pool in the middle of some private rooms and party tables. It definitely adds up to that party animal vibe that the place has to contain every single night. That could have been 4 stars!

But, I'm taking away 2 stars due to their (1) poor service and (2) head-wagging food. During our first party we've spent almost half of the night on their keg station. For what reason? I am not really sure but based on how the crew responded to the situation,I still thought it wasn't acceptable. Food is another let down. For both our parties, food were dry and looked so foreign for the prestige attached to the name of the place. Sorry for sounding harsh but I'm just being real with my experience.

Still, this is my review on how the place host a company party. As a bar to host your daily/weekly night out, you tell128517 Not my thing128539

The place is great. We had our company Christmas party here. It's not your average club (what ever you call it), it's open-air and the place is big. You can have your own spot anywhere. Had a great night

Decided not to be a lola one Saturday night.
Busted out the heels and LBD. Hahaha
A friend from LA bought a table and all i can say is, thank God because I don't know how to survive 3 hours of heels just standing up and dancing. Lol 128514

DJ was good. We also got the fries along with bottles of Jack.

I enjoyed the crowd, ambiance and the fries. 128514

Get buzzed - Soak - Repeat!

Great concept for a club. Not cheap but worth the experience. The only downside is, it can get really hot, esp after all the shots and sight-seeing. 128541

It was so hot and humid the night we went here; it's as if the place forces you to swim, lol. Other than the inevitable oiliness of our faces, Pool Club really exudes that relaxing summer vibe in the city. The staff were really attentive that your glass won't ever be left empty. In other words, malalasing ka. Haha just kidding. I'd love to go back on a Saturday night, perhaps~

What I love about the Palace Pool Club:

1. It's a club but we can go there late afternoon or early evening to enjoy happy hour, and nobody will judge us for drinking so early.
2. Since we are there early, we can also leave early (earlier than usual, at least). No need for puffy eyes in the morning!
3. It's an open air club, so...FRESH AIR! My eyes sting when I'm inside a club for too long. The cigarette smoke surrounds and suffocates you, and that's not a good thing.
4. Also, since it's open air, the music is not as loud and my friends and I can talk without shouting above the noise! 128077
5. And the best thing...I don't have to wear heels!!! Attire is casual, so you will look terribly out of place in a bandage dress (is it BANDAGE or BONDAGE? Can be both hahaha!) and stilettos. I can wear shorts, a nice top, flats, and nobody will think any less of me.

I've only been here twice but I really like the vibe of the place. I especially liked our visit during Sunday happy hour when we got to swim. The place wasn't as packed, so I wasn't too conscious floating around in a bathing suit. That's my bachelorette party in the picture above, by the way. And I had a grand time. 128129

For the single ladies, a lot of guys there also have no problem walking around shirtless. I find it a bit pretentious, especially since they're not even SWIMMING, but I guess you should expect a lot of skin walking around. It IS called a POOL club after all.128563

The 2nd time we were there (late night), it rained, and almost everyone scampered to find shelter (except for a few individuals who thought it was fun to dance in the rain). I dunno how the place will fare during the rainy season, but I think it's sister establishment next door - Valkyrie - will benefit from this predicament. 128522

This place is so chill! What I love about it is that you can wear whatever you want. Kahit yata hubad Puwede 128514 this is why my friend, Ton and I celebrated our birthdays here. 128513

Ton and I went early to avail of the happy hour prices for our drinks (I suggest you guys do this so that the drinks won't be too costly) 128517 happy hour takes place at 3pm - 7pm.

Since we arrived early, we had dinner in Cafe Naya - the Palace Pool Club's restaurant.

The food was great! A bit pricey but worth it. I got the cheeseburger (the patty is made of wagyu), truffles fries and coke light. Everything I ordered was yummy!!! Plus, the service was really good! Maybe because we got there early? Not really sure. 128513

This will definitely be our place to party, if ever we don't feel like lolos and lolas 128514

Happiest birthday to My two good friends - Ton and Telle B (my nigga from another motha).

Our group rarely goes clubbing these days because 1) We're always busy and 2) We're getting old hahaha 128517. But surprisingly, everyone was game last night.

The best thing about this place is that it's a club, but you don't have to dress fancy because it's a pool club (the less you wear the better hahaha). It was kinda freaking humid because of the drizzly weather so I was glad I was in shorts and a comfy polo.

The food was surprisingly good - the cheeseburger and the truffle fries were good (I'd like to think it wasn't just because I was starving hahaha).

If you want cheap drinks, it's best to go there during the happy hour - some of the bottles and drinks are priced 40-50% cheaper. So ask someone to go ahead to buy the supplies 128514

We were really tempted to swim but we didn't want to flaunt our abs. Hahaha. And you wouldn't know who has barfed in that pool 128529

Ps: I wasn't feeling the music during the start. The set only got better around 1am. I'm still a hip hop and r&b dude 128526
