The Reef restaurant is situated conveniently beside the beach front of the Camayan resort. So while the kids swim, the parents already start ordering lunch for them.

After our group was satisfied with the bit of swimming and diving we did, we plodded to this restaurant. We got there at around 11:51 am and the place was also full since everyone’s taking a break from swimming given that the scorching sun usually showcases its full strength during lunchtime. Luckily we got the last free table and was seated immediately. Our usual order here is the pansit and talong-gong. For this visit, on top of our usuals, we also ordered the lumpiang shanghai. Pansit is served warm, not really fitting given that the weather is already very hot but it was still super good even though it made us sweat a bit more. The dish has squid but no shrimp, so great for people allergic to shrimp like my friend! The Talong-gong is the dish which I believe is the star of every visit to this restaurant. It’s a mixture of different vegetables with Talong and bagoong. I usually order rice with this because I need something to balance the saltiness of the dish. Lumpiang shanghai was nothing special, not ordering that again anytime soon.

For our drinks, we ordered iced coffee. They basically blend 3-in-1 coffee with ice, still very refreshing and good despite them not using brewed coffee.

That’s it for now. Take care everyone.

One of the reasons why I love staying at Camayan is their complimentary breakfast buffet. I reallg enjoy the Filipino food options and some of my favorites are; tocino, corned beef and tapa (pinoy food ang corned beef? 128531) haha! I also love the broccoli and bacon soup and their cabonara. Best part is you get to dine while enjoying the view because it's located beachfront. It's a good place to have both your stomach and your eyes full.

This is one of the best. For BREAKFAST, its a buffet style. It includes pancakes, omelette, and many more. For LUNCH, SNACKS and DINNER, they offer Pastas, Sandwiches, Filipino Cuisines, etc. We tried their Filipino foods like Bangus Ala Pobre, Pinakbet, Pancit Canton, Caldereta, Sisig, Kare-Kare and Crispy Pata! These were all good! I'll keep coming back to try other dishes! 128076128076128076

Last night's dinner was meh, but the complimentary breakfast was pretty good.

I had over easy eggs, stir fried vegetables, dilis, wheat bread and cereal. They also offer salads, fresh fruits, muesli, omelet, tinapa, hotdog, coffee, hot choco and of course rice.

Oh be also be prepared when flies attack you and your food.

Slow service and the food was below average.

We had the beef nachos with disturbing orange cheese sauce which was too salty, Aglio olio pasta which was very dry and did not even have any garlic (maybe because garlic is expensive), bland Pancit bihon we asked for the server to give us soy sauce for the Pancit, the grilled chicken and liempo were okay and the only thing I liked was the kaldereta which was very tender and flavorful.
