had our lunch at a nearby mexican resto and decided to head here after,
and as 1st timers we were caught by the 'cakes and happiness' signage, we ordered red velvet, oreo cheesecake and sansrival. we ask the server named Lyn, to change our sansrival slice (about 1/4 part of the cake slice was missing) Lyn changed it but she bang it on our table, with a rude tone..
OMGeee..our 1st time to experience such arrogance, we cancelled that slice, billed out, and left. we can't tolerate that attitude.. 128563

Place - The place/resto was clean. A few flies here and there but overall, the place was clean and organized.

Service - The staff were friendly and respectful. They were attentive.

Value for money - Food prices are affordable, it matches the food they serve.

Food:

- Buffalo wings - Their wings was tasty and the flavor was just right. The serving size was okay.

- Salpicao - The beef was tender however it was a tad too salty for my taste.

- Key Lime Pie - Tried this pie as it was recommended in most reviews and I'm glad to say that it didn't disappoint us. The mixture of flavors was right. The pie was smooth, it melts in your mouth. We loved it! 128522

We'll definitely come back to this resto/cafe. We'll try the other food and desserts next time. Will definitely recommend it to our friends. :)

I was craving for milkshake so we were looking for a dessert place. We saw Round Robin Cafe and my friend said that the Red Velvet cake is good. So we tried it.

We ordered Red velvet (in the photo), Key lime pie, roasted macadamian sansrival, and salted caramel.

The key lime pie was my favorite! The red velvet and salted caramel were okay but it is not enough to satisfy a sweet tooth. I'm disappointed with the sansrival. I love macadamia nuts that's why I ordered this. But maybe I prefer chocolate covered Macadamia 128523 anyway, it is not worth it! Maybe they should offer sansrival with cashew nuts too!

The price though was excellent! We spent 400 for the four slices!! A whole costs less than a thousand so I think it's worth it! Next time, i'll try other their beverages!

Camilla Figg works for the Miami Metro Police Department as a records supervisor.  She is friends with Harry Morgan and knew Dexter and Debra as kids.  How is this relevant to my review?  Well,  Camilla's wish is to have the best Key Lime Pie before she succumbs to lung cancer.  Dexter honored her wishes and brought the best pie in Florida.  And this is the first tine I've heard of KLP.

As per Wikipedia,  Key lime pie is an American dessert made of Key lime juice, egg yolks, and sweetened condensed milk in a pie crust.  The dish is named after the small Key limes (Citrus aurantifolia 'Swingle') that are naturalized throughout the Florida Keys.

The first time I visited Maginhawa was during a legal holiday.  Bad idea eh?  Sort of,  some of the restaurants are closed.  Round Robin is one of the joints that is open.   I wasn't hungry that time, but i opted to swing by Round Robin.  I wanted to make the most out of my visit (Sunk Investment Bias).

RR is a typical hole-in-the-wall joint.  When i say small,  i mean that in the purest sense of the word.  A couple of tables inside,  a small space for the counter and the minimalist inspired loo.

They serve pasta,  coffee,  frozen coffee drinks and pastries.  I saw KLP on the menu.   A flashback of the Dexter episode played in my head.  KLP is an actual dessert,  not a figment of the writers imagination.   Got myself a slice.  I need to satisfy my curiousity.

Remove the meringue topping,  KLP is the doppelganger of a NY cheesecake.  And it tastes nothing like the NY native,  that I am certain, it tastes a hundred times better.  I am a sucker for anything citrus.  Brace yourself for a deluge of praises.

The pie filling is similar to a custard with subtle hints of lime.  Creamy ,  semi sweet and tangy.  The texture of the filling is light.  Albeit the light as air texture,  the flavor lingers in your tastebuds for days.  I like the fact that this is not overly sweet and has enough tart that will entice your tastebuds.  Not too sour and not too sweet, language experts should invent a word for that.  And the crust is not too thick,  they dont skimp on the pie filling,  each slice is enough to satisfy pie cravings.

Suffice to say that i understand Camilla for requesting KLP before she kicks the bucket.

NEVER EVER ORDER MOZZARELLA STICKS.

Sorry for not having a photo. It was that bad it didn't deserve a place in my phone. It looked like fries. Yes it was that thin and short. 115php for 5 pcs of short and thin mozzarella sticks. NEVER EVER

Came here with Angeli A. She ordered a salad for P95 and it was tiny but she said it was good. I got the Chicken Bbq for P160, it was very filling but it did not taste like the regular sweet ones. It tasted like McDonalds chicken nuggets with less sweet bbq sauce dip with bones. I'm a fan of sweet so this was not for me. Maybe next time we will try the cakes, they look very nomnoms.

We saw this restaurant while walking around Maginhawa and decided to give it a try (after first checking the reviews at looloo!)

I decided to order the buffalo wings since was craving for it. It was surprisingly good (craving satisfied!). We also enjoyed the pasta as well as the chocolate cake. I don't have a sweet tooth but the chocolate cake hit the spot! :)

The service was pretty good since it is a small place.

I would love to return to try the key lime pie which got a lot of good reviews here at looloo. :)

All in all it was a great experience and sooo sulit! :)
