I'm not really a fan of commercial cupcake stores but lately, they've become more appealing to me.

Apparently this is a franchise from Europe, the owner served as a chef for the royal family. She did bake the wedding cake for Kate & William too. Yes, we're on first name basis. Anyway, we need no invites anymore to the palace so we can try the royal cake served at the royal wedding since it's avail at the store. It's the middle one on the photo.

Let me tell you that it does taste like royalty and it doesn't skimp on any ingredient too. It is divine! Believe me! It's got biscuits, dried fruits, nuts and amazing chocolate. As for the other flavors, we loved how dense and moist the cupcakes are. They're all full of flavors and nothing was too sweet and cloying.

Seriously, I'm never coming back to Newport without a box of these!

I always order their red velvet cupcake here because it's really good but for a change I tried their strawberry cupcake with lemon and strawberry sponge cake base. I found it too dry. Maybe it wasn't made the same day. But the service in this place is really good!

I first tried their red velvet cupcake and cheesecake cupcake from their first branch in SM Aura. I enjoyed them both and I figured another visit would be beneficial to my monthly cupcake cravings.

Checked out their new cookie dough cupcake. For P95, its quite expensive for a tiny cupcake. But its hella delicious. Its sweet but not too sweet. And the cream filling is warm inside while the cookie is soft and chewy. A perfect place too cool down after heavy shopping or gambling at Resorts World.

Who wouldnt wanna try their cupcakes if this Royal Touch Cupcake parlor by Carolyn Robb was behind the creation of cakes and pastries during the Royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton? So here's my verdict.

For the ambiance, i'll give them 10 stars if possible. The place is really amazing, quiet and you can feel the royal vibe with their dainty interiors and walls filled with royally frames and pictures of the Royal family with Carolyn Robb and her team.

Their cupcakes are exquisitelty made from the presentation to the taste (for the cupcake i ordered). Had Knight of strawberry which is one of their best sellers and it didnt disappoint. The icing is not too sweet goes well with the cupcake. Paired the cupcake with their peppermint tea which is very refreshing and very affordable. 1 pot can yield 3-4 cups which is only for 100php. I wanted to order their macarons but there were only few pieces left and their best seller was sold out(salted caramel) . Will def. come back to try their macarons and other cupcakes. Worth all the money spent.

Royal Touch's cupcakes are indeed befitting all the positive reviews they have been given. Had the chance to finally try a number of their different variants. It was difficult for me to mark a favorite because all of the flavors I had the chance to try were delicious!

It was right after dinner that we decided to cap our meal with a visit to Royal Touch's Resort's World branch before trying a bit of chance versus lady-luck at the next door casino. I initially tried their Princess Rose Petal cupcake paired with a cup of Illy Americano.

I loved the unique floral flavor. The cupcake had a center of Rose flavored jelly and a rich, creamy frosting of Rose flavored buttercream sprinkled with Rose flavored sugar. Perhaps a flavor not usually enjoyed by a sweet-tooths, but I specifically got this since I'm a fan of Rose flavored Turkish tea and French Macarons.

We were told that they closed at 12 midnight and decided to stop by again after.

Second visit that same night, albeit the few remaining stock and flavors available , we tried their Apple Duchess and Knight of Strawberry.

Again the two flavors did not fail. We loved that the Apple Duchess tasted like an Apple cake with caramel marble. Yummy with the rich creamy buttercream frosting and apple crumble topping. The Knight of Strawberry was reminiscent of a good Strawberry Shortcake with a good tarty-sweet frosting.

We decided to take home a sampling of their available remaining flavors. My sister served the sweets the next day. Same quality that did not go dry after being refrigerated overnight.

Consumed at home, we all loved the Caramel & Dates Cupcake and the Red Velvet Empress. The Caramel & Dates reminded me of a nut-free Food for the Gods topped with delicious buttery frosting with a dollop of buttery-salty-sweet Caramel sauce that worked perfectly with the pastry. The Red Velvet Empress was likewise delicious. The scarlet pastry was nicely topped with rich-tangy cream cheese frosting with a chocolate covered fresh Strawberry.

True, the foodie market is flooded with so many cupcake makers making foodies have their own list of favorites. What made me love Royal Touch's cupcakes? First was the texture. Their pastries were denser but not dry. Somewhat like a soft muffin. Secondly, I loved the play of flavors. Thirdly, the frostings were perfectly creamy yet held through handling and eating. Fourthly , I found the sweetness levels just perfect and NOT overwhelmingly sweet. I had tasted some popular cupcake brands/flavors in the past that left me short of a bad case of sugar-coma. And lastly, for a franchise with an International reputation to boot, I find the pricing of Royal Touch very reasonable. Fact is, some of their flavors are priced cheaper than other branded cupcakes.

Now a "new" fave cupcake source of mine. I just hope that they consider opening another branch closer to home.

Royal Touch by Carolyn Robb originated from London, and they were behind the creation of cakes and patries in the wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton and now they have branches in the Philippines, one in RWM and SM Aura. Their cupcakes are very rich and flavorful. Must try: Knight of Strawberry and Red Velvet. Big Cupcakes: starts at P75.00 per piece.

Bought nutella cupcake and red velvet.

Red velvet cupcake- with a slice of choco dipped strawberry as a topping, the cupcake itself was just okay.

Nutella cupcake- with mini choco balls as toppings, I liked this better than the red velvet, you can taste the nutella and it has quite a lot of chunks of hazelnuts in the cupcake127851127851128523

Price of cupcake is reasonable for the presentation is simply elegant. Php.85-90/pc.
