Had lunch here with bffs a week ago. I can't remember the names of the dishes we ordered, you may refer to Sandra Y review for that. 128517

I didn't like everything here. They were just ok. The only one I think I liked is the crispy squid coz the vinegar was a perfect spicy paumbong. First off, the place is pretty small. The tables in the middle of the resto is literally dikit-dikit so you could be eating elbow to elbow with a stranger. Best to get the seats on the side (the one with benches). But since the place is really small, you need to reserve a table beforehand. They will hold the table for you for only 15mins.

The salted egg shrimp is overrated for me. I guess I am just not buying into the hype that is salted egg everythjng. Ugh. This is the first time I'm having salted-egg flavor of anything and it did not impress one bit. So dahil sa unsatisfied nga ako (I'm a shrimp lover btw), I ordererd mussels in mardi gras sauce (whatever that is). It is spicy, with a lot of chorizo bits that tastes more like longanisa. I don't like the chorizo in this dish! It overpowered the seafood flavor of the mussels. That, or the mussels were really bland, as in!

Okay, I like that the place is quiet. Not like other restos where you hear everyone speaking. They did good on the acoustics of the place that even if it's small, it is not noisy at all. It is a bit dark though (see my photos were horrible).

All in all, I will not visit again if I was craving for seafood in a bag. I'd rather go to Bucket o' Shrimp.

Post birthday celebration of my highschool friend in Shrimp Bucket last Saturday. One important thing to do when you're planning to dine here: Pls reserve a table. The place is quite small in UP Town & can accommodate approx of less than 30 pax.

We're a group of four. We had:

SB Salad with Roasted Sesame Dressing(P180) - served in a medium sized bowl. It has sliced cucumber, tomatoes with kewpie roasted sesame.

Shrimps in Salted Eggsperience (P560)- one festive serving! The salted egg sauce is addictive. 128523

Mussels in Mardi Gras (P350)- flavorful mussels in mild spicy sauce with meat128522.

Deep Fried Baby Squid (P215) - tender fried squid128522

Crispy Belachan Pork (P180) - pork is somekinda tough. But its good, its like binagoongan.

Verdict: everything is noteworthy. Dishes here are mostly rice intensive. Reasonable price128077🏽

I've been hearing about these shrimp or seafood place so when we were in UP Town Center we decided to try it. We ordered Shrimp (Salty Eggsperience P560) and SB Salad with Roasted Sesame Dressing. The shrimp is really good with salted egg sauce, it really is a must try. I also liked their salad. The serving is big and every peso is sulit for this shrimp bucket experience.

I still love their shrimps. Still full of flavor 10084️ The baby squid though lacks flavor. The batter used was tasteless.

Shrimp Bucket has been in UPTC for a couple of years now and I only tried it now, which is sad because I absolutely loved it. We ordered 1 pound of the shrimp in the salty eggsperience sauce, fries, and a cup of rice. It took a really long while for the food to arrive, though, even if the restaurant wasn't full at the time. 128533 But the shrimps were really fresh and the salted egg sauce was to die for. It wasn't too salty and it was perfect to pour on top of steamed rice. Why must it be so unhealthy 128517128557 I'd recommend this place for people who love shrimps as much as I do hehe. Prices are kind of steep (P570 for a pound of shrimp that can feed 2-3 people) but it's all super worth it. 10084

Since our family is a crab and shrimp enthusiasts, we've decided to try Shrimp Bucket when spotted at the Ground Floor of UP Town Center Quezon City.
Their bestseller - Salty Eggsperience is indeed a bestseller! It tastes like creamy salted egg and yummy.

They don’t serve the shrimp in a bucket. They shake the shrimp and the sauce in a clear plastic bag and serve it as is to the customers. Be ready to get dirty with your hands when you eat here. Don’t worry, you can use plastic gloves.

Shrimp Bucket has 4 branches now - BGC, UP Town Center, Il Terrazzo and Greenhills.

The 1lb bag of shrimp covered in their salty eggsperience sauce is a winner. Mussels are a bit expensive though.

Now I know why so many rave about this place. The Shrimp Salty Eggsperience is the best. They could use some improvement though on how it is presented.

First time to check out Shrimp Bucket at UPTC as it has always been loaded with people all the time.

Not being a fan of seafoods, I didn't order their shrimp dishes despite knowing that those are their specialty.

I ordered the Crispy Bechalan Pork and I enjoyed how balanced the meat is with the rice. The sweet and spicy taste altogether gave the rice meal a nice flavor that I really enjoyed.

Can I just say that I love Shrimp Bucket? This place lived up to all of my expectations and I left wanting more (although my stomach would not physically let me, LOL.). I I love their Deep-Fried Baby Squids. The softness of the batter was perfect. It tastes even better when you dip it in vinegar.

For this review, I am advocating for Bags By The Pound--you can't go wrong. We got the shrimps and crabs with Salted Eggsperience and The Mardi Gras sauces. Just love it! Everything was quite tasty and fresh. The sauces were so delicious. The Salted Eggsperience sauce is heaven and it coats the shrimps so well. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

Service is pretty good, it gets busy during lunch and dinner but the servers are polite. They come around and check on drinks for refills which gives you the chance to order extra if you need too.

Remember if you come here, you MUST wear the bib. Be prepared to eat with your hands and get dirty! This place will leave you satisfied and coming back for more.

Cheers
Mickey

I still love their shrimps. Their crab is too expensive. I like the baby squid too.

I was quite disappointed with how they made their shakes. It lacks flavor. Too little fresh fruits!

If you're on a diet, stay away. This will be one indulgent meal.

Start with the Crispy Baby Squid. Delicious.
For the main attraction:
1) Shrimp with Mardi Gras flavor (comes with heaps of chorizo and is so freaking good)
2) crab with Salty Eggsperience
3) crAb or shrimp with frenchy lemon pepper (the classic lemon butter sauce) though if you have this alongside the first two it will feel tasteless.

These are our favorites and their combinations. we haven't been able to try the others because we cannot deviate (creatures of habit). But i heard they're all quite yummy.

Sides: lots of rice you will need it.
Dessert: sago with coconut milk

Expect a wait. Reserve if you can.

After a 2 hour drive in the peak of rush hour from BGC to UP Town Center, the only thing my mind could focus on was what my tummy was shouting out, "Hungry me!"   (For the love of a friend nga naman talaga!)

Ravenous me ordered 1 pound of Shrimps in Mardi Gras sauce.  My server came back a few minutes later with a plastic bag laden with 13 pcs of large and plump shrimp.  Mixed in the bag was the Mardi Gras sauce made of pureed salted egg blended with some secret spices.  The boiled shrimp were fresh (the best indication of freshness was how easy they were to peel) and juicy.  The sauce was creamy and only mildly salty, which was a pleasant surprise given that the main ingredient was salted egg.

I love the unique flavor and presentation of this dish.  Certainly makes up for the 2 hours  stuck waiting in traffic!  128513128513128513

Yey! Nakabalik din! Went here with the family on my impulsive weekend in Manila! 128514128514128514 Ang masasabi ko lang, sauce-some! 128536128536128536 I think their food is absolutely amazing because their sauces are well thought of. They all go with very simple proteins like shrimp and mussels, and produce the kind of food that'll make your mouth water for days! 100841008410084️ I love this place! Simple, non-pretentious, just good old delicious cooking! Amazing! Looking forward to coming back! 128525128525128525
