It's one of those places that I used to stare at with such longing it almost hurt. It's beautiful, it's expensive, and I wanted so bad to try it. Though my heart always says yes yes yes, my pocket answers back no no no, and so for the longest time all I could do is stare and hope that someday I will have enough money to enjoy its services. Ladies and gents the time has finally come. Just last Saturday I treated myself to a relaxing massage at The Spa in BGC.

I made an appointment via their website, I got their reply the next day where they asked me some information including my preferred services. Because it's my first time, I availed one of their packages called Refreshing Start for P2,425. It includes a classic body massage, foot care, and a choice of aroma scalp or aroma facial. I went at 6 in the evening, the lobby is so impressive it looked like I entered a hotel instead of a spa. The receptionists are well groomed and prompt. After confirming my appointment, I signed up a form, then paid up front.

I was then given a key to my locker and was instructed to go upstairs in the female area. There, I was greeted by the staff and was given a towel and a robe. I immediately changed into the robe and put my stuff inside my locker. Then I went in their waiting area where I was offered ginger tea. Because I am not a fan of tea, I almost rejected the offer but I'm glad that I didn't. The ginger tea is a bit spicy and sweet, I loved it so much that I helped myself to a second cup.

After a few minutes I was led to the Deluxe room; this is their common area. If you want your own room they have the Couples Room and for the more moneyed, the Villa. I had a Swedish massage and it lasted for an hour. I asked the masseuse for moderate strokes but she seemed to have forgotten that I was gasping in pain in the first few minutes. She noticed my pain, asked for my opinion, and I told her to lessen her force. My body was not exactly begging for a massage (meaning I'm not sore and I am not tired or stressed), nevertheless it was amazing.

After that I was led to another room for my foot care, I chose the Oriental massage, and the facial aroma. Foot care started first, then halfway through it, another masseuse entered the room to do my facial. It was the most glorious facial massage I have ever experienced with strokes that are quite different from the ones I had in the past. It was so good I had to concentrate when I wanted to feel the foot massage.

The only part that I didn't like is the pricking, you see, I love it. I know that my skin is clear but there are still white heads in my nose that I want to be addressed, but the woman didn't bother getting down into it.

All in all it was money well spent and now I have to be careful not to do this frequently. I mean I am okay doing some self indulgence but not that often. If you care about my opinion though, The Spa is indeed a good place to have that much needed me-time.

For my birthday, K treated me to a really relaxing date at The Spa. I believe that the best things come in experiences and moments rather than material things. And luckily, K thought so too.

We got the executive room package since it looked like the one which we would get the most worth out of our money. You can also upgrade it into a suite or villa if you have extra cash. The packages are already good for two pax.

Executive [Regular Php1,012/Php1,463 Member Php880/Php1,265]
Suite/Villa [Regular Php1,320/Php1,925 Member Php1,155/Php1,678]

The package includes your choice of massage and 30 minutes’ worth of time to use their facilities such as the Jacuzzi, steam bath and shower room. There are four available types of massage:

🇸🇪 Swedish [60min/90min] – Classic oil body massage
🇯🇵 Shiatsu [60min/90min] – Japanese style acupressure massage
➕ Combination [60min/90min] – Swedish + Shiatsu
128170🏼 Deep Tissue [60min/90min] – A stronger body massage that uses elbows and forearms to work on deeper tissues which relieves muscle tightness.

Upon arrival, we were asked to fill out the guest information and waiver forms. We chose our package and paid before we were instructed to proceed to our locker rooms where someone would pick us up individually and usher us to our private room. I immediately changed out of my clothes and went for a shower before enjoying their steam bath. I need to have one of these in my home when I become successful one day. The shower is one with the steam bath. Awesome!

After sweating for 15 minutes, we hopped right in the Jacuzzi which was good for one person, in a general sense, but we managed to squeeze both of ourselves inside. The Jacuzzi was the size of a bath tub. I liked how the Jacuzzi was situated outside, like a covered balcony type. It’s nice and refreshing 128524

Before we knew it, 30 minutes went by fast and it was time for our massage. It’s weird how they only had one shorts so I had to wear my underwear during the massage. Good thing I brought extra!

Anyway, I got Swedish and the experience was great. Unlike the other massage places I frequent to, the masseuse here take their time so it really feels relaxing. I was surprised that 60 minutes were gone in a snap! After the massage, we were offered some ginger tea and water. I personally did not enjoy the tea. I felt like I was drinking tempura sauce with a very strong ginger flavor.

The only thing that ruined the experience was the balcony door. It would not fully close so the noise outside was faintly ringing through our ears during the massage. But other than that, it was a really great experience. It’s definitely worth the splurge once in a while to really have a personal time to heal ourselves.

P. S. I recommend bringing and wearing your swimsuit for the jacuzzi. Good thing I brought mine 128077🏻

Since my boyfriend loves getting massages, I decided to give him a little pampering on his birthday, so I booked an executive room with 60 minutes massage as a gift to him.

I emailed The Spa weeks before my bf's birthday to book the executive room. An executive room is a private room good for 2. I was then asked if I wanted the villa instead. I was intrigued. Since I wanted my loved one to have the best experience, I thought about getting the villa instead and inquired about its difference from the executive room:

VILLA
❗️P1,760 per person for a 60 minute massage
❗️2,640 per person for a 90 minute massage
❗️Hot Tub
❗️Own Shower
❗️Good for 2
❗️30 minutes use of facilities before the service
❗️10-15 minutes use after the service

EXECUTIVE ROOM
❗️P1,210 per person for a 60 minute massage
❗️P1,815 per person for a 90 minute massage
❗️Shared shower room
❗️Good for 2

With these, I figured I don't need to add P500+ just for the use of hot tub and private shower room, so I chose the executive room.

Upon arrival at The Spa, we were asked to fill out the guest information forms. After this, we were asked what massage we were having (with or without oil) and we chose the Shiatsu. We paid for the amount and were given the keys to our lockers. We were then instructed to proceed to the locker rooms, left side is for males and right side is for females.

When I got to the locker room, I was provided with a robe, a pair of slippers and a towel. I changed into the robe, left my stuff and proceeded to the lounge where I was offered a small cup of ginger tea. I loved it! It tastes like sugar cane upon first sip, and the ginger is in the after taste.

I was then led to the executive room. This is kinda awkward. I have tried getting a massage at a different place before and there we were provided with clothes we wore while having the massage. I was shocked when I was told to remove my robe before we started (good thing my partner was the first one to do so, and he was already faced down when I was asked to do this 128531). The masseuse covered me with some blankets while having the massage, but it still felt awkward for me. Good thing I was wearing shorts 128556

I had a great massage. Although the massage is mostly just the stretching of the muscles, (we've done most of which before and after our volleyball trainings back in high school), I felt so relaxed and relieved of all the stress I was in. What I also liked about the massage is that it didn't hurt 128517 I didn't feel like I wanted it to end soon (unlike my previous massages).

After the massage, we were offered some ginger tea and warm water before we left the room. I wasn't able to finish the little cup of ginger tea because apparently after you sip a lot of it, you'll be feeling the sting of the ginger in your throat. And it's not a good feeling.

The Spa is definitely worth paying the extra cash given the state of their facilities and services. It's not just any ordinary place. It's a paradise 128525

So bf gifted me with a 60-minute massage at The Spa. It was already 8:30pm on a weekday so not too many people when we arrived. We had to reserve by the way. But we only reserved that afternoon lang din.

Separate entrance for males and females even if we got the couples private package (P2,400). Coz of the bathroom pala. First stop is the bathroom. You can take a shower right before your massage. Refreshing. Then you change into the bathrobe and lock your things in the locker provided.

Bf chose the Deep Tissue massage while I chose Shiatsu. I don't like oil kasi so dry massage ako. Be ready to remove the robe in front of the masseuse before you lie on the bed. Dim light naman pero di pwede pabebe dito. 128521

The bed is comfy and the hole for your face is super nice. Coz others smell kasi. The massage felt bitin. Hehe. I guess a 2-hour massage would be more relaxing. Bf said his deep tissue massage didn't feel like it. It's too soft for a deep tissue. I guess he should've told the masseuse to make it harder.

We never got to tip the 2 masseuse coz they left already and we didn't see them when we left. Since we paid already (before the start), we felt there was no opportunity na. It was too late when we realized the tip box is at the bathrooms pala. Next time.

For days when you feel you deserve a bit of luxury and a good full body massage, head over to The Spa at Bonifacio High Street.

Try their Villas which is located at the Penthouse where you have your private shower/sauna room and bath tub.

If you'd like to stay longer in the sauna or bathtub, best to just get the Deluxe or Superior room where you have the common area access as their staff tends to hurry you up to leave the Villa so you don't get to maximize the room despite the premium price you pay.

Wifey and I used our gift certificate Wc she won from a christmas raffle. The prize was a luxury spa w 2 massages, 2 foot massages and facial. I was overwhelmed because I've never spent more than 4 hours in a spa!
Over all... Very excellent massage and service! Will definitely go back if I don't have to foot the bill!

My bf treated me to a one hour Swedish massage at The Spa for our anniversary... He knows my weaknesses and massage is one of them!!!10084

We had it scheduled before our dinner at Mamou, so I was overdressed inside... #idc We booked a private room for a couple's massage... Beforehand, I enjoyed the sauna, took a hot bath, and drank some ginger tea... Then I had one hour of blissful massage to loosen my muscles! So relaxing!

I was made up and ready for dinner after... Would have preferred to do the massage right before going to bed though, but I loved every second of it anyway!128588🏻

Had the bf take my pic in front for review purposes, not turista purposes!128540

Trying something new by reviewing a non-food establishment.

My mom had gift certificates to The Spa, and after a long, long cycle of trying to find a common schedule, to trying to book (if I had written about my The Spa TriNoma experience, that would merit a single star, but only because you can't give zero stars), to booking, and ultimately, canceling, we finally had the time to go last night.

I called to make the reservation for 7pm, and it went smoothly. We were advised to come in 30 minutes early for a "pre-treatment session". Susan A and I met up outside Fully Booked after work, and proceeded to The Spa together.

Upon entering the building, I took a whiff of aromatic eucalyptus which was good for my sinus. I had a terrible allergy attack in the morning and it clogged my nose throughout the day. We proceeded to the second floor where the receptionist area was, and were accommodated immediately.

Mom and I both chose the Combination of Swedish and Shiatsu (60 min., Php 820). I could only think of a few reasons why you would choose both instead of either; 1) you haven't tried the combination, ever, and you want to try to see if you can get the best of both worlds. 2) you don't like feeling oily and sticky after a Shiatsu massage, and 3) a "dry" Swedish massage is not as fulfilling as Shiatsu. What I would come to realize later on is that I do prefer the Shiatsu massage over Swedish, or a combination.

We had the option to use the shower or the sauna before our massage (that being the "pre-treatment session"), but we opted not to and go into the massage right away. We were given our own lockers, bath robes, slippers and towels. My slippers were mismatched, the left being bigger than the other. We were also offered warm tea or water.

We were picked up at the adjacent waiting area and we went through more sets of stairs until we were finally in our room which was located on the top floor, overlooking High Street. I hadn't realized The Spa was that big. My mom even said it was "like a maze". We availed of the Deluxe Room, which is a common room that could accommodate up to nine guests.

The massage itself was just okay. I like to go for hard massages because I have a lot of knots on my back, but this one was a little too painful for me. I couldn't relax and fall asleep, although that was the goal. The session ended with a sore back; one I feel up to this very moment. To my masseuse's credit, however, she did try very hard. She gave enough attention to my back where I felt the massage was most necessary.

My only complaint was that the aircon was too cold. I get cold easily, and because the aircon was in my direct line, I was more uncomfortable. One other customer decided to skip the stretching part of the massage because she was just too cold already.

I do get why it's expensive. The place itself is beautiful, and so are the amenities. However, this place falls behind my personal favorite -- VIP Spa along Evangelista St in Makati. For just a little more than the price for an hour of a classic massage in the deluxe room, I could get two hours at a VIP room at VIP. Sure, the latter falls behind when it comes to amenities and the interior, but I go for a massage at the spa, and if they can do that right, that's the most important part.

Had the most relaxing 4 1/2 hour spa treatment with a loved one. Got the Refreshing Start package plus a sea salt scrub add-on. All treatments were done in one of their villas.

Love their Ginger tea as well as their facilities. Will definitely be back!

The usual executive room for a swedish massage is ok because you get to use their facilities.

But if you want the ultimate treat, try their villas. They're on the top floor. Very private and romantic. You get your own room, toilet/sauna and bath tub overlooking BHS.

Only downside is the price! So your wallet better be ready for some beating 128514
