This is my first time trying The Spa. I love massages so much! I am use to going to express massage places like thai massage or i usually get my massage from my usual nail spa that offers massages too.

I always hear about The Spa but I'm always hesitant to try it because of it's identity-- yes, what I have in mind is that it's vey expensive!

Today, I got the chance to finally try it. (thanks to our very generous client! She was very happy with our design and execution of her condo unit that she wanted to extend her thanks by treating us to a spa session!)

We were suppose to meet at The Spa before 1pm and I was running kinda late, I was so stressed!! I came in running and then I got to the lobby and started inhaling the minty-spa smell, it immediately relaxed me. Oohh, I'm loving this place already! 128571

Our client each got us the body scrub and Swedish massage. We were given our keys and then we proceeded to the female locker room. The place was really nice and so are the staff. They greet you upon entering the locker room and they're very happy to help you find your locker and hand you the bathroom slippers, robe and towel. We changed into our robes and we decided to take a quick bath. The bathroom was great but I just hope the shower had more pressure. And oh, 3 in 1 bath soap-shampoo-conditioner is provided.

Upon coming out from the shower, we were directed to the waiting lounge and they served us ginger tea. Damn, this ginger tea is the best. I love good ginger teas and this one definitely did not disappoint!

Our scrubbers (HAHA! Is that a word?) were now ready and we were escorted to our designated rooms. Our room had its own hot tub and own shower which I thought was really convenient since we needed to rinse off our crystalline scrubs. After 30 minutes of scrubbing, I rinsed off my scrub. I was glad that this shower had great pressure but disappointed with the showerhead. It definitely needed deep cleaning. There are holes that are clogged and no water comes out from those clogged holes. 128543

After rinsing off the scrub, we were again asked to wait at the lounge and was again served hot ginger tea. Ofcourse, I had to drink some. This is my second cup by the way! 128584

When our massage rooms were now ready, we started having our Swedish massage. It was really relaxing. My masseuse had great pressure but I was kinda turned off when she started coughing and it sounded like her cough was quite serious, it sounded like she had phlegm. I really wanted to offer her hot ginger tea, it's good for the throat! 128514

And then after the massage we were allowed to stay for a while and drink more ginger tea! (YES!!128541) we changed back to our clothes. There were toiletries available-- lotions, oils, cotton buds and things like that. I loved how they also have hairdryers and hair brushes placed in a sanitizing machine. (You know, the one used in nail spas)

Overall it was a really great experience! The price wasn't as high as I expected but the price difference shows, and I would be very happy and willing to pay for that extra amount for this kind of service. 128522

After several mos of not coming here, I decided to have a much-needed massage session done yesterday. But what a disappointment 128533 the masseuse lacked the pressure and strokes; even their ginger tea tasted diluted 128543128542

I think I won't be coming back again any time soon.

Costs about 900 pesos for the hour long deep tissue massage. I'll compare this place to other massage spots that cost less than half of that for the same services.

It's the little things that keep me coming back here. The smell, first of all, is amazing. It's what I first notice and love about this place. The entrance and walkway to the massage area is beautiful with water flowing on the outskirts of the walkway; just very relaxing and peaceful. It generally just looks, feels, and smells better than other places. The ginger tea available while waiting is also piping hot, strong, and soothing. The technique of the masseuses are not worlds better than others I've had, but if I had to pick my favorite, this place edges them out, and that is just enough to justify the higher price. Getting a massage is an occasional treat and worth spending some extra money on.

So while I would never say this place is more than twice as good as other massage places, it is definitely better (even if only marginally) than all the other places I've been, and that warrants the price hike to make that hour+ spent most worthwhile.

Had a deluxe Swedish massage (my usual) and I wasn't that satisfied because the masseuse lacked pressure. I think even if you tell them the pressure, you can't really force the strength/skill and have them sustain it for the duration of the session 128532

I think I'll go to my other spa of choice (Island Spa at Jupiter street)

I love myself so much that I love pampering myself (narcissistic much?! Lol). I am a SPAnatic that I can really spend a whole day de-stressing in the right spa.
I love The Spa that I've tried diff branches: GreenBelt, ShangriLa and Trinoma - all equally good!
People often tell me that The Spa is very pricey and I'm just paying for the ambience when I can get the same massage at a cheaper price! OF COURSE, I'd pay for the ambiance and the great service as well! Why the hell would I want to go to a spa that is too crowded, with therapists that chatter forever and at such loud decibels and a lousy customer service! I'd say I'd pay premium for great customer experience! I'm sure SPAnatics like me would agree. Afterall, it's not like I go to a spa on a daily basis, more like 2x a month, max 3x hahaha!
Too bad they don't have pre-natal massage so I had to research for a good spa that specializes in pre-natal as well. Good thing, there's one in BGC!

PS: i love The Spa's Ginger Ale.

After a week of sleepless nights, I indulged myself to my favorite treat of massage! 128522 I am a sucker for massages and I tend to go for really hard, bone-breaking types; it's not a surprise that I chose deep tissue massage! PS. I love their complimentary ginger tea 128537

The massage was ok, it could definitely be better
1. Lacked proper strength (i put proper bec it's not just about the pressure, but massaging the right pressure points)
2. It did not seem to penetrate the tissue/muscle, so the relaxation tends to be temporary

I'll still go back and try other massages!

My go-to spa when I feel like I need to indulge in a good massage and to give my body a treat. I always visit the Alabang branch bcos it's nearer from where I live.

During a trip to Makati, I was happy when I cross the street going to Greenbelt when I saw The Spa. On an impulse I found myself inside and talking to the receptionist. Haha! I'm really a spa addict.

As a first time visitor of the branch I initially asked if it's already renovated? (Alabang was under renovation that time) The attendant told me that they haven't started yet. From the lounge you could already feel relieved from all the stress bcos of the music playing and the relaxing scent of the place.

Makati branch is smallest The Spa branch among those I've been (Alabang & BGC) based on my exp.
Like their steam room here, with mint scent.

I usually just have a good 60min swedish massage at The Spa, just enough to satisfy my crying muscles. 128076

Every Spa-holic would love it here! The place itself relaxes you..from the water design in the entrance to the well-maintained locker/shower/waiting area upto their private rooms where their Executive Massage is done. Their therapist are well trained and Charie (the one who did my massage) is really good in soothing out my back's stressed out muscles. Would definitely go back 128134128076

Pretty amazing after a long flight. Once you put all your stuff up in the locker room and avoid eye contact with all the naked old men, your treatment is done in a very private room.

Mom and I got massages yesterday. It was my very first massage and it was kindaaaa awkward at first, but yeah it was okay. 128514 My body was aching in a relaxing way (did that make sense) which was good. Even better was the fragrant ginger tea they served right after the session. 128568

Overall service + ambiance + good massage + facilities 128077128077128077

The Spa has always been my go-to place for relaxing and some much needed me time. It has consistently been chic, clean and quiet. I saw no traces of age and wear on their facilities, even on the showers and jacuzzi when it's mostly moist (no cracks on tiles, etc). I appreciate just how much they train their therapists to stay quiet, friendly and professional. Their massages are awesome too. The combination of the ginger tea, calming music and peaceful ambience make for a good massage.

This is probably the smallest branch but I still like coming here. The place is serene, staff are attentive and like any other The Spa branches- you always get that relaxed, luxurious feeling while you get your treatment.
