The Suite Room, from the same group asCasa Verde, is a hotel suite-styled boutique restaurant. It could be intimidating at first, the elegant and deluxe interiors with servers that are ready to give you a personalized service. But once you look at their menu, you’ll wonder how they make their prices affordable.

The Food:
Baby Back Ribs - Let’s be practical here. If you want real value for your money, you’ll run to thisBaby Back Ribs for only P588. Huge without camera tricks, quality meat used and definitely one of the tastiest ribs in town, served with shredded corn, side salad and rice.
Ribeye Steak -
I couldn’t hold myself anymore immediately when I saw the server holding this plate of Ribeye Steak. A jaw-dropping treat, only P600 for the record, paired perfectly with Cajun Butter, a no longer secret to make this steak irresistible.
The Ambiance:
The look of a luxurious suite-themed boutique restaurant with comfortable couches all around. At one glance, it could look like a whiskey bar as well where gentlemen would want to hang out.

Maybe I had my hopes too high up, but I honestly found this place quite a let-down, compared to it's supposedly less classy sister which is Casa Verde. I have always loved that restaurant and so I was so looking forward to try this restaurant.

The prices here are not too heavy on the pocket, I'll give them that. For a very cozy place, the menu was a delight.

I saw the plates and the serving portions is not as large as in Casa Verde. Their steaks and entrees are the most recommended, so I went for it and ordered the "Land and Sea", which typically meant Surf n' Turf.

I asked the waiter first what is included in the plate of "Land and Sea" and he said (verbatim), "It's a fillet mignon wrapped with bacon, served with a big grilled prawn and a choice of side dish and your choice of steak sauce." I asked his recommendations and followed as he did so I got my entree with the stir fried mushrooms and mushroom sauce, and had my steak cooked to medium well. I'm a sucker for mushrooms anyway, so they were good choices for me.

When I got my plate, it didn't look as mouthwatering as I wished it would be. Pero sige na lang, Ms Universe lang ang peg. Hahaha 128516

First, the meat was not a fillet mignon. No wonder it was not expensive. It was a piece of beef rolled and shaped into what looked like fillet. 128533 But wrapped with bacon, it made the dish taste better, because bacon!

Secondly, the meat was overcooked. I was expecting it to still be a bit red and juicy on the inside, but it was well done already. Still I ate because I was hungry then. And the taste was nice anyway. The Casa Verde spirit lives in the flavors.

I'd still come back, but not too soon. I'll still stick with the original restaurant. 128514

After lunch at Oh Georg!, we went over to The Suite Room. C and L told me that the best ice cream cake is in here. 127856127846

Then I also found out the this a dessert room for Casa Verde. They only have two branches - Lim Tian Teng St., beside the main Casa Verde Branch & one here in Ayala Cebu. Though Casa Verde has branched out in Luzon, along with its other sister companies, I believe, The Suite Room have not yet arrived in M.M. (all the more reason to visit Cebu 128513)

The Suite Room aims to provide a hotel suite-style dining room. With a French styled interiors, cool chandeliers, and lots of mirrors, it felt like I was inside Disney's Beauty & The Beast story. It was exquisite! 128522127863

We ordered two kinds of ice cream cake. A Green Tea (really strong green tea - I had an instant detoxification the next day 128517) & Salted Caramel Macchiato (i think that was the name 9749️) Ice Cream Cake.

The texture of the ice cream was very smooth. The Green Tea was not too sweet, whereas the Caramel Macchiato was a slightly sweet. I like the coffee flavor that is very distinct. 10084️ Our ice cream cake goes well with our Earl Grey Tea.

A more elegant spin-off of the Cebu classic that is Casa Verde. Unlike the latter, they focus on steaks. I ordered the Rib eye steak which only costs about 500 pesos. A tender and moist steak draped with a mushroom gravy that will have you ordering another cup of rice. But of course you can choose your own sides of either mashed potato, salad, fries or rice. They also have other cuts of steak and burgers as well. Their fancy looking chairs and wine glasses on top of the tables give away of a expensive restaurant but they actually have very reasonable prices at good portions.

This is Casa Verde's upscale restaurant, but the prices aren't scaled up! Each dish was under P200 and our bill came up to P550 not including the special ice tea of the day, green tea with cucumber. It was so light, refreshing, and not too sweet. We ordered everything to share and by the time our main dish came, I only finished half of my half. We started with a cream of mushroom soup. the croutons were just stale enough with a hint of sweet in the bread. The soup was light, not too creamy and was so good I wanted to drink and not sip it. We had the mixed salad with home made peanut brittle and strawberry vinegarette. I loved how the dressing did not drown the salad and the candied peanuts were a treat. Our last dish was the grilled steak sandwich. It was perfectly cooked with a bit of a char and very juicy. It was complimented with bell peppers and onions and the cheese gave it a great kick. Everything was perfect including the timeliness of the service.
