The cookie shot with milk is unique that's why we tried it and Wander Kid liked the combination of milk and cookie with chocolate at the bottom of the cup.

Similarly, we tried Cookie Cup with Vanilla Ice cream on it. It may not be the perfect Vanilla Ice Cream but it was okay.

We love their brewed coffee.

Food experience is just okay. Ambiance is nice perfect for hanging out with friends or if you are just chilling.

Cookie shot is P65 while Cookie cup with Ice cream is P95.

We usually follow our lunch or dinner with a hot coffee and some nice sweets. Luckily, we didn't need to go too far to have a caffeine fix after having a delicious dinner at Griddle. It's because Theo's Baked + Brewed was just right beside it. I think these two adjoining establishments used to be an apartment or a duplex or something similar.

Griddle's theme was an odd mixture of travel/aviation/shabby chic stuff. Theo's theme, on the other hand, was more consistent -- all about birds and bird-related stuff (like these cute little bird cages as table centerpieces). It used a lot of wood stuff and furniture for their decor, giving the cafe a more warm and rustic feel. I liked our table in particular -- I thought it was made of a recycled door or a wood paneling.

It could have been a "quiet coffee time" as the cafe was towards its closing hours (we were there at about 11 pm); however, a large family brought their kiddos along, and they were, you know, quite a distraction. Hehehe.

What we had:

🔹Churros in Ice Cream (₱95) - I've come to love churros more no matter the length, size or texture (most especially when I tried Churreria La Lola a few days back). This dessert combined my two loves -- churros and soft-served ice cream. The churros themselves were light and fluffy. Loved it!

🔹Cookie Shots (₱65) - While I'm not really a lactose-intolerant person, I otherwise dislike milk (except when it's flavored). So I let my sister to have a swig of the entire "milk shot" so that I could eat the cookie cup. As for the cookie cup itself -- when I had my first bite of it, I thought it kind of tasted old... but I guess it was just my palate, or maybe it was flavored like that. Perhaps I'll give it another "shot" (pardon the pun) next time. Hehehe.

🔹Cafe Latte, hot (₱75) - It had adequate strength and bitterness. Since we were having sweets already, I didn't bother to add sugar in my coffee.

🔹Mint Chocolate, hot (₱75) - My sister said she didn't taste any strong hints of mint, but it was otherwise good daw.

The cafe had a Wi-Fi, but sometimes it would go off so we sometime had to use our phone's data connection.

I was surprised that Theo's is not just a "light-snacks" cafe, for it also offers substantial meals like one of their most recommended ones, the Oven-Baked Baby Back Ribs. It looks good, so I might try that too upon my possible return soon for another Maginhawa foodtrip.

Went for a quick bite here instead since Wing Vibe was closed.

I got the Hazelnut Green Tea Frappe (P 120). It was okay. I was hoping it had a stronger matcha taste, I thought it was very subtle. I also had the Hungarian Sausage (P 110) wherein you can choose between rice on the side or have it in a bun. Of course I chose rice even though it was meryenda time. Don't judge me. 128514

Tried this out because I needed a place to study... Theo's might not be the best one because when I went, there were a lot of people who were having a nice time vs. the usual study crowd... I ordered a latte over ice and it was okay. It's quite... milky. It really is. Even the after taste is milky. However, the Special Beef Tenderloin was SO good! I definitely recommend it. It's a nice meal to eat when you haven't eaten yet. So nice. Also, have to say that the place is small (not good for groups more than 4) and it's quite warm downstairs. Will definitely come back for the tenderloin!

I have a love-hate relationship with Theo's. I used to eat a lot in this place since my husband's work is nearby so I have a fair share of experience with them. Mostly good, one time awfully bad. For lunch, I had Mama's Special Beef Tenderloin. It reminds me of a beef salpicao. Nothing very special, though the rice serving is huge.

I've read about Theo's on a number of restaurant reviews. Great feedback. So I decided to have it as one of our stops during our September foodtrip at Maginhawa.

As with many cafes in the area, Theo's is small. So, during our visit, a rainy Saturday afternoon, the cafe was crowded. It seems to be popular among students who want a comfy space for study, and even the barkada and family who want to chill in the company of good food. Just make sure to visit at the right time.

Theo's has a wide option in their menu--rice meals, pasta, sandwiches, coffee, frappes, and smoothies. But, during our visit, we wanted to enjoy the usual cafe stuff: coffee and dessert. Also to match the mood of that gloomy, rainy day.

We had hazelnut green tea frappe (P120), hot cappuccino (P75), white mocha frappe (P120), red velvet cheesecake, and churros dipped in ice cream (P95). Good times!

If you are a looking for a place thats serves good breakfast as early as 7am, pwes ito na ang hinahanap mo! 128512 i know that theos is a shop that serves pastries and coffee but they also serve salmon egg benedict, roast beef, home made tapa, cornedbeef, waffle&bacon that comes with eggs and free brewed coffee (Price range 150-200). I would recommend them all depending your craving, the beef meals are tender and juicy the waffle are fluffy and creamy i just wish they add a more bacon to it, the egg bens i enjoyed. Ok naman halos lahat, but in all my visits there were a few dishes that i didin't like. The fried bangus tasted "gilik" as the lolas say, hindi na sariwa yung isda. The corned beef sandwich was a disapointment, i almost cried when i chewed the beef, it was dry as the sahara desert, extremely hard to swallow. Pero overall theos is still a great place to have breakfast. 128516

My friends and I were looking for a place to eat our dinner and then we stumbled upon this place.

The place had two floors but it was still very small. The place is definitely not for big groups. 128513 Regardless of the small place, Theo's Baked + Brewed not only served coffee and pastries but also a variety of dishes ranging from rice meals, sandwiches to pasta. They also have soft serve ice cream now which we were not able to try since they don't serve it as is but together with churros, etc. Basta, I asked the server if they sold plain ice cream only and she answered no.

So for last night's dinner, my friends and I ordered the Baby Back Ribs (175) and Carbonara (140). I shared an order of BBR with one of my friends while the pasta was shared by all of us. We were 3 in the group. I do not recommend sharing the pasta since the serving size is definitely made for one person only. 128514 The food was good but I think the rice serving was small and the ribs lacked sauce. For additional sauce, we had to pay 15 pesos. The prices were not that bad. Prices ranged from 50-250 pesos, I think.

Theo's moist chocolate cake, yes it was moist and chocolatey but my friend's opinion "sarap! Parang fudgee bar" ugh?! Kinda positive right?
Ordered Salted caramel "decaf" ..they just lessen the amount of espresso shot 🙄 <syrup-milk-milk-milk-drop of espresso>

Place was small and crowded. Got mint choco frap and it was good and minty. Also got moist choco cake which tasted like a rich version of the red ribbon dedication cake. Too sweet for my liking. Also got cookie shot glass that came with milk. Milk was ordinary but i loved the cookie. :) also worth noting, the staff were really nice.

The food was bland. The osso bucco needed more time to soften up and marinate. The tenderloin and ribs were both tough.

The muffins almost redeemed the experience though, so try only those.

Took 40 minutes to cook our meal. Servers extremely rude. The only good thing this place is for is its coffee and as a study place. Fix your shit, Theo's.

Homey interiors sold me!!! 128513 the menu is very limited, me and my friends are used to order different meals then share. Here you have to order a set meal. I had Mama's Special Beef Tenderloin, Creamed Beef, Hazelnut Green Tea & Strawberry Cream. (I know! I pig out!) I forgot what my friends ordered. Everything we got was delish! Definitely recommend. 128077🏼128077🏼 we stayed there for a couple of hours and the staffs were super polite and friendly. We'll try the other menus nxt time.

The staff servers are polite. I'm buying a whole 12 inch BlueBerry Cheesecake (P1100) which is their best seller.

The place is well-lit and pretty interesting. They have a 2nd floor which we have yet to explore. Maybe next time when we are not in a hurry.

I will post an update review once I hear the feedback on the taste of this cake. 128515

My day won't be complete without a cup of coffee so I had to make a stop at this purdy cafe in Maginhawa, it's a sweater-weather-kinda-day so a cup of warm coffee is a must.

Was not able to try their pastries albeit everything looked appetizing to me, prices were reasonable too. I ordered Cafe Mocha, 80php. Nothing too special with the coffee tho and it was just served in a small paper cup. It would've been better if they had it with those eye-candy cups/mugs most cafes have but I understand that in a place like Maginhawa you have to utilize your space and it would save them energy and money, I guess, if they'll be using recyclable cups instead.

Well, in a nutshell we stayed there for an hour and we, me and Ate Khatz, enjoyed taking selfies and chilling.

Btw. It's a plus factor that their wifi is working really well.
