Too bad Eastwood branch closed. Miss the convenience whenever I want to eat shabu-shabu.
Anyway this branch is bigger than Eastwood though. Love the seafood and angus beef shabu-shabu. If your not really hungry one set is good for two unless you have a bigger tummy. But me and hubby like sharing. Everything is good. I don't like vermicelli noodles in shabu-shabu so I opt it all for udon. And 5 orders of squidballs. So konti 2pc per order. No rice just the noodles. Yum yum 128076🏻🍽

I'm not a big fun of shabu-shabu! Thousand cranes is my first shabu-shabu restau and i enjoyed it a lot! It's a bit pricey tho.

Tried Thousand Crane's Yakiniku Don for the very first time and I absolutely loved it! -- sticky rice, tender beef, fresh veggies and delicious teriyaki sauce 128523

Last Monday, I had dinner at Thousand Cranes with my officemates and I tried their dynamite maki -- it was alright but it was a bit bland. What I loved was their vegetable set! 10084️ Especially with their peanut sauce.

This is free meal!yeeeeyy!
Ordered the ff:
Beef, pork and seafoods for shabu-shabu-
I liked it, I'll like it more if it has a lot of veggies. The sauce/soup used as a flavoring was not so umami rich, unlike other restaurants. I felt so relaxed and sleepy after finishing one warm bowl of this.
Mexican Maki- i don't know what consisted this kind of maki, but it has more aroma and flavor unlike other makis ive tasted, it's because of the red powder sorrounding the maki.
Korean Maki- This has a lighter taste, cucumber added crisp and freshness to the taste.
Service was great, Yes I'll be back.128077

It was okay. Not really a fan of shabu shabu and after going here, I might not try any shabu shabu places any time soon. It was tolerable. We ordered the assorted set that was good for 3 people and we added one order of tempura. Wasn't a fan of the tempura. It was 'malangsa'. The beef was chewy and it didn't have much taste. The service started out good but the longer we stayed, the more I felt that they thought of us as a burden. We didn't finish it all, but we did get full. But getting full doesn't mean we enjoyed the food. We just ate most of it since it would have been such a waste of money to have so much leftovers. Never coming back here.

Their mini shabu-shabu serving which they claim to be 'good for 1 person' was too small for its price and the tonkatsu came in with too much rice! Ooops that just rhymed 128539 anyway, good thing I ordered Dynamite Maki. It's not as good as the others that i've already tasted but it's the only food on our table that I liked! Definitely won't come back again.

It could have been better if the food was fresh. Especially the seafoods.

Small servings of everything.
No highlight of the story.
I felt i've been robed by thousand cranes with almost a thousand bucks. 128563
I should've eaten 2 KFC buckets. Or 8pcs Chicken Joy. Or 2 dozens of JCo.
All I ever felt was regret. 128542

Tho the service was good (dito nalang binawi)
Anyways. They just proved to me that Ganso Shabuway is lot better, and worth for the money.
Its ok to spend more if you'll be satisfied, but if not..there's no reason to come back. 128528

Disappointed.. 128543

It was just recently that i started to love shabu shabu but this resto made me hate it again.. Nothing special.. I felt tired rather than filled.. Its too complicated.. I ordered this seafood and beef set.. It comes with the vegetable plate (consisting of some crappy veggies and dumplings), a beef plate with 2 slices of beef (also crappy), and a plate of seafood (not fresh, i could smell the histamine).. And it cost around 700.. The only thing i enjoyed was the Japanese fried rice which costs 85 per cup... 128558

It was boring, over priced, complicated, and not fun.. No highlight.. The service was ok though, the staff was very helpful and attentive..

Definitely my last.. 128533

Thousand Cranes used to be one of my favorite shabu-shabu places. This was before it was closed down for tax or was it health issues. Anyway, ever since they reopened, it has not been the same. The servings are smaller, and the price has definitely increased by as much as 50% (maybe to make up for the taxes that they now have to pay). The crowds are gone too so that part of it should warn you that something has changed. At least the two times I was there recently, we didn't have a problem finding a table. Unlike before when we sometimes would have to wait in line for a table for at least 15 minutes. Last night we tried the Angus Beef shabu-shabu and the Premium Vege shabu-shabu. There was nothing premium about it unlike at Gansho Shabu-shabu where you would have at least three kinds of exotic mushrooms. This one just had a sprig of golden mushrooms added to the standard vege set that goes with any meat or seafood order. Will I go back? Maybe. I was told that the owner might be a relative so maybe I'll tell him where the place is failing so that it can try to recover some of its lost glory.

Pet peeve: DIRTY utensils (there were old food particles left on the serving spoons, and the bowls were very dusty). The service wasn't bad, it was HORRIBLE. The waitresses were disinterested and impolite, and all the servers' attentions were hard to call. I had my utensils changed, and the waiter returned it while handing me tissues to just clean them with. It took all my willpower and patience not to be bitchy at this point in time, as it seemed like they were certainly trying it! 128548 They didn't serve us water until Michael Joseph V reminded them SEVERAL times, and they served it near the end of our meal already. I had my noodles changed on my shabu shabu order from the thin ones to all egg noodles and the waitress confirmed the change, but when the components arrived, she obviously didn't listen to my specifications and still served me the original 2 kinds of noodles. Insects all over the place (several of which almost crawled/landed on my food), but I just guarded everything as if my life depended on it. The server didn't set up the shabu shabu machine properly so my food wasn't even being cooked for several minutes, and noone bothered to check until we called their attention.. when they did attempt to fix it, I had to correct them because the light still wasn't turning on and the waiter was already turning to leave. The guy who eventually fixed it maxed the heat level on the dial and didn't bother to inform me, so my BOILING HOT soup overflowed. 128532128532

To be fair, the food itself was decent in taste - but with this kind of "nakakawalang-gana" na experience, I'd rather eat at Healthy Shabu Shabu instead. The servers are actually polite there, and are very easy to talk to. It's really not worth the time and frustration to eat at this establishment. 128532128078128078128078 I ate here with my sister a few years ago, and I don't recall it ever being this disappointing! We are definitely NOT coming back no matter what.

A great experience indeed!
Cooking was extremly awesome. Boiling my own food was deliciously perfect!

At first, I dunno how it worked but with the helped of crews who were very willing to assist us everything went smoothly and we ate a lot!

But what I dont like was how they cooked our crabs. We were so full already and we just let the crews cooked for it. It was dried, oily and tasteless. This was only the part that I dont approved as okay.

But generally, I liked the place, the set of food and the service.

If you love shabu-shabu then this is a good place to dine. For starters, We ordered korean maki and tekka maki. Their all seafood and US angus beef taste great together with shabu-shabu. Since i love fish, I also tried their fish fillet and it's topped with i dont know what vegetables and I also think cheese because it taste cheesy 128513 and yea it's not that pricey 128527
