Came across this place after being utterly disappointed at Tagpuan. Checked their menu and hey prices are reasonable. Breakfast plates starts at Php 159 and that includes coffee or a glass of iced tea. The place is coveniently located beside Coffee Library and since they open early, they’re a good breakfast place. The place is quite small with the second floor being the accepting area. There a few tables, max capacity is around 20 or less, I think. This is day seating capacity. Evening wise the rooftop opens.

As I was supposed to have Tapa originally, I decided to give theirs a try. Had it paired with iced tea cause of this heat. The tapa is good. Tender and slightly toasted. It’s best paired with their spicy vinegar. It comes with a cup of rice and two eggs of either sunny side up or scrambled. It’s filling! The iced tea though is a little sweet but qwas okay too and refreshing. My friends liked their Vigan Longganisa.

Reasonably priced breakfast and of good quality, this is one of the breakfast place around Elyu that you can consider. Oh and wait, they also have a beer promo. 6+1 on local beers for just Php 280! I’d say not bad.

Which brings me back to this place the same evening 128514 Cause where else can you find such cheap beer deal, right? Local beer options are San Mig Apple, San Mig Light, Pale Pilsen and Red Horse. Definitely a good deal! We also tried their frozen margarita which is okay. Nothing as strong as Chili’s. A lot milder than that.

We tried their nachos and chicken skin. Nachos are great!! Cheesy and generous toppings for just Php 159. We all liked it. Chicken skin was okay. It’s Php 129, some pieces gives you a hard time biting it. But great with their vinegar.

Service was good on both occassion. One designated staff only per floor since the rooftop is open at dinner time. Tolerable noise since there’s only a few people there. I’d have to say for evening drinks, this is a good option. A couple of beers and nice bar chows without a lot of noise and specially for me, no smoke. It’s a great deal for me!

Tipple & Brew is one of the cool places in San Juan where you can get good craft beer! Located along MacArthur Highway, just across San Juan Surf Resort, adjacent to The Coffee Library, Tipple & Brew is quite easy to find!

Bulul Brewery (Pampanga) brews beer for Tipple & Brew. They do have a number of craft beer variants you can try. During our visit, I was able to try Martial Law and Kudeta. I’m not really an expert in craft beer but these two are quite good! I was expecting more flavor from Martial Law, though, as this happens to be Tipple & Brew’s best seller. Kudeta, for me, has more character.

This place offers full meals (as with other foodie places and coffee shops here at Elyu). More seats are found at the second floor.
