Someone was craving for good food and coffee after her “pakikibaka” at the gym, so I decided to go with her here at Toby’s Estate ‘cause I badly missed Toby’s coffee too!

I’ve been loving Toby’s Estate coffee and I’m more than excited to try some of their food aside from their drinks and my usual favorite bagels with jalapeno cheddar cream cheese. So that night, I decided to try the Chorizo Pasta to pair with my Hot chocolate while she went for the Flat White and got a piece of Pistachio Cheesecake! While we’re at the counter, I saw the bagels and I can’t resist to say no, so I got one with my favorite choice of cream cheese, so she could also try it.

The hot chocolate was good as always! One thing I really like about Toby’s is the consistency of their drinks. It will only depend on the blend that you choose for your drink. My favorite blend of the coffee is the Salcedo-blend because it’s smooth.

Chorizo Pasta was a bit of a hit-and-miss. It was filled with meat, but I felt like it’s quite bland although it didn’t look dry. Not sure if it’s because of the sauce? The bagels, on the other hand, were good as always! She seemed to like it as well!

Pistachio Cheesecake was really good! It was creamy and was filled with nuts, and we really liked it that way. It’s also a bit huge than the usual size of cakes on some café which is pretty ideal to share the sweetness to your coffee-buddy.

I really like the interiors of the place – it’s pretty much the same mood of their Salcedo branch, but not as big as the aforementioned branch which looks more like a restaurant than just a coffee hideout. The lighting may be tricky when you’re taking photos of your food, so, as you noticed that all food photos were taken from different corners of the café. Supportive naman ang kanilang crew! 128513

COFFEE PROMO ALERT 128680 From Monday to Friday this week, Toby's offering their cold brew drinks for Php 100 only. You can choose if you prefer black or white, but either tasted great. Originally priced at Php 160, so this is quite a good caffeine dose steal.

I prefer the black cold brew. It's a little bitter and strong than that of Starbucks's cold brew but has this tangy taste that you'd know it's Toby's beans used on it. The white cold brew is a sweet enough that you won't need to add sugar to it, and has this smooth milky taste. Quite interesting what they have on that milk that they add.

Oh but the sad news is for Bucky's lover like me, the price skyrocketed from Php 80 to Php 100 for the original Bucky's. I am very disappointed by that huge increase. A 20% increase is no joke. So yeah, might as well pair your coffee with their bagel or next time I will try the new seasonal menu.

Overall, it was another great coffee experience at Toby's. Will probably be back within the week for another cup of the cold brew. Haha.

My siblings and I passed by Washington Sycip Park in Legaspi Village, Makati when we spotted a Toby's Estate. I heard that their flat white coffee was noteworthy, so I decided to give it a try.

We were lucky to have made it right before closing time. It was only too bad that I was unable to try their French Onion Soup because I like sampling that dish in different restaurants. Still, my order was tasty and filling enough that I am content. Here's what I had:

Flat White (PHP160)

Since I heard their flat white was something worth trying, I ordered a cup for myself. It was a large cup and the steaming drink, with its enticing foam art and its deep, smoky aroma called to me.

Taking a sip revealed that the foam was quite thick and creamy, before leading to the coffee itself. The taste was similar to dark chocolate: strong, bitter, with a hint of sweetness at the end. A spoonful of brown sugar helped make it more palatable. The buzz jolted me awake, and I was happy with how quickly it took effect.

--

Bruce Bogtrotter Cake (PHP250)

Named after the character from the book and movie Matilda by Roald Dahl, this cake is definitely one to enjoy in more than one slice, as Bruce Bogtrotter did with an entire chocolate cake.

The cake itself is moist and the icing is cool, creamy, and only mildly sweet. I would recommend to have a couple of sips of coffee or water in between for some people in case the sweetness might still overwhelm them.

Coffee adventure is are hobby when early for meeting in Makati. On this day we went for one of our fave Toby's Estate! They open early so its a perfect place for coffee and breakfast before meeting. I got my quick fix of their Salcedo Blend Flat White. Perfect white foamy with the delicious strong kick of the salcedo blend. For my breakfast got my Bagel with Bacon cream cheese. Love the bits of bacon and delicious cream cheese. Perfect way to start the day.

For this branch I love the quiet atmosphere since its quite hidden in one of the building. Subtle relaxing light and spacious. Love this branch.

A lot of people have been saying that Toby's Estate has the best flat white. I'm not a huge fan of coffee with milk anymore so I wasn't that attracted to the flat white. But one day, I was in search for a quiet coffee place to work and found a nice and cozy spot at Toby's Estate at Legazpi Village (beside Purple Oven).

Since the flat white's so popular, I decided to give it a try. Me and my ignorance – I actually took a sip without adding any sugar! 128563 NAGISING AKO. I immediately went for some sugar and added about two teaspoons into the cup. 128514 Despite adding sugar, it was still very very strong!

I found myself palpitating hours later and still awake at 1:30 AM despite having a long tiring day. Had the cup at around 3-4PM. 128584 Never drinking coffee that late in the day again. Always in the morning hahahahaha!!

One night, I was itching for an early coffee nightcap, but at the same time I was craving for something refreshing.....so I went down to Toby's Estate and got me their Calamansi Tart....reminded me of Key Lime Pie, but I am a sucker for sweety sour-ey stuff and the combination was spot on, with the crumbly graham base and whipped cream accent...

I also tried one of their Iced Fruit Teas, the Goji Melon 12852210084128077🏻 not overly sweet yet thirst-quenching!

Need I say more for the coffee? The best as always! 12852210084128077🏻9749

How I wish they'd close a bit later, hehehe 12852210084128077🏻

My favorite flat white kept me up until 3am the following morning. But why not. Haha! I like the one better in Salcedo Village, the interiors in this one is not at par on that one. Plus small tables for big groups.

At last! Chachi L and I were able to visit Toby's Estate. We've been planning this out for months now and it has been on our 'Restos To Visit' List. She ordered an Iced Flat White while I ordered an Iced Latte.

The Iced Latte had a slightly smooth bitter taste and tasted better for me when i added brown sugar (around 1.5 teaspoon). It was also a bit frothy.

Took a bit of some time before my coffee was served as it was prepared on the spot. The brown sugar was placed on the tables. We asked for a teaspoon and a stirrer which was wrapped individually (the stirrer i mean), making it very hygienic. Even the straws were individually wrapped.

We visited around past 10 in the morning on a Monday and there were only us and another guest. Very quiet and peaceful when we visited. Also, a soft music was being played at the background for the cafe's ambiance.

Hope we can try the pasta next!

I will always love Toby's Estate! For me they serve the best coffee in Manila!

I should also come back for their mushroom pasta which my brother ordered but wasn't able to take a picture because my brother was very hungry already. Haha.

Ooohhh! I almost forgot we also have their chocolate cake named Bruce something sorry I also don't have any picture as I was very busy playing pokemon go! 128514128514 one of the best chocolate cake I've tried! Very moist not too sweet. Perfect!

Oh, Toby's Estate Coffee is good pala. Plus the ambience is really nice. I had their flat white, and enjoyed it. For someone who enjoyed a hot mocha in Starbucks, that's saying a lot. I'd be back in here for sure!

There's nothing not to love about Toby's though yes pastas and sandwiches can be pricey but the quality of their coffee and meals are superb! I personally love their Flat White whether hot or iced and it taste similar to every Toby's Estate branches both here and abroad. Carefully crafted to suite your liking; not too creamy nor foamy, and with tangy bitterness after every sip. Pistachio cheesecake is another staple here with that small chopped pistachio in that cream cheese base which you almost won't taste as it's filled with pistachio as well. The crust is thin but tasty. And of course, always a must to grab are their buckys. They're not brownies but buckys. Asked them to warm it for you to get that moist, chocolatey with a little saltiness flavor. Really great! The ambiance of the place is one of my favorites too as well as the attentiveness of the staff. Regular hangout place of mine.

Calamansi pie and coffee is the perfect combination for me! Perfect ambiance to have coffee conversations. I also love their pasta and salad. But they should improve on their service, the place was not full but we had to follow-up on our orders and keep on asking for drinking water. I didn't like their brownies its too dense for my taste. Will come back since I liked most of what I ordered for the 2X we went there.

What I liked about this cheesecake, is that its made of pistachio my favorite nut and it was not overly sweet. This was for dessert. I had my Patty melt, like a burger with cheese sandwich which I enjoyed much too, hefty and tummy filling.

Toby's Estate will always have a very special space in my heart. I love their Flat White, their restaurant/kiosk interiors, their food... AAAH everything.

I knew a long time ago that Toby's serves good food but didn't have the chance to try. My main goal before was to try all their coffee and be able to compare and find myself my favorite cup - I already have it named so it's time for me to explore the food selection.

It has come to my attention that Salcedo branch is offering more mains than the one in Legazpi. Well it was almost lunchtime so I decided to have brunch, I ordered the Grilled Cheese (P320) paired with my favorite Flat White (P150) and my life became so heavenly 128525

The grilled cheese served with potato chips and spicy tomato compote was already a heaven on its own. The potato chips were very yummy, I got too overwhelmed I ate 1 chip to another to another until I finished it!!!! Ah soo good. I'm also a big fan of cheese so when ai had my first bite, the taste of the melted cheese inside my mouth made my tastebuds party for joy!!!!!! It was just so goood! Pairing it with Flat White made me love it more, it made me feel as if it was the BEST DECISION EVERRRR!!!!

It is a bit pricey? Yes. But it is definitely worth it because of the satisfaction that you will get 10084

Another problem we encountered yesterday for my mom's birthday was finding a birthday cake. Did some google and thankful I found an article of places open for holyweek. 1st option was wildflour but the place was jampacked and wholecake were no longer available. So we went for the 2nd option Tobys Estate. I've been to Toby's estate for quite a few times already but I've never tasted their cakes. I just always go for their flat white.

Happy that there was still an available whole cake. My brother choosed the chocolate cake. My sister also bought some cute birthday candles somewhere which added some extra design to the plain cake.

My mom love the cake! Frazzled Cook also didn't mind we brought a cake. They didn't charge us for corkage fee128077. The chocolate cake was so good! The cake was so rich and moist. The sweetness level was just right for me but my mom felt it was a lttle too sweet. Maybe it depends on the person. We weren't able to finish the whole cake so we got some takeout for some midnight snacks!128522

Overall Tobys Estate never fail me. They serve good coffee and this time good cake. Next time got to try some of their dishes.

It's been awhile since our last lunch date 128517 Mostly coz everyone's been busy and of course the lunch time heat has really been brutal.

Our schedules seemed to be in sync yesterday, We were finally able to meet for lunch, tired of our usual haunts, Carla M suggested Toby's, I readily said yes since I loved the flat white here! Yina M was also G!

Funny that we all ordered the same thing 128514 Mushroom Pasta @320 (kinda pricey IMO) It was quite a plateful of al dente linguine, sauteed mushrooms with garlic, parsley and herbs in olive oil. Tasted kinda bland, it could've used some truffle flavor...Carla's pasta was too oily, mine had too much noodle and it could have used a little more shrooms, Yina's lacked them garlic slices.

I also ordered a glass of iced flat white, now this was really good! I think they serve one of the best flat whites in the metro 128076🏼 Yins also got a chocolate cake which was good, really moist and yummy, too bad we were all stuffed and didn't get to finish it 128513

The A/C was nice and cold, service was ok too, I liked the place, it was spacious, cozy & brightly lit. Even if the food wasn't all that good, the company was great and we had a nice time catching up...128123
