First tried Toby's in this branch when it opened. I did some research that their Flat White is most recommended, especially since it's an Australian brand. It did not disappoint. To date, I order Flat White as default to assess different coffee shops. Still, Toby's takes the prize as value for money for a big cup of the best Flat White in Metro Manila. It is best drank hot since it's more flavorful than iced, then pair it with Bucky's Original Brownie.

This branch has a cozy ambience. It would have been better if they had extended hours for late-night coffee talks.

Taking a break from my bingsu series to review a coffee joint.

I love Toby's flat white coffee! I like this branch in particular because it doesn't get too crowded (at least every time I visit) and it's really spacious.

I finally tried the calamansi pie in this visit. It's kind of pricey at 190 a slice but the taste makes it well worth it. I shared this slice with my friend but I can finish one on my own hehe. I like how it's tart and not cloying. I'll definitely order this again in my next visit.

For breakfast, tried out their Mediterranean sandwich--arugula, grilled veggies, chickpea purée--as a "healthy" alternative for this rainy Monday morning. The olive oil tends to make the sandwich a mess to eat a bit but it's pretty flavorful and filling. Served with potato chip strips which were warmed and flavored.

Alas, still no non dairy alternatives for the lactose intolerant.

Dutch eggs: two sunny side up eggs cooked in an iron skillet. Cubes of thick cut bacon add to the flavor and you can pour some melted butter if you want. Good breakfast choice.

Still no soy or other non dairy option for the lactose intolerant though. Tsk

This was the first Toby's Estate legit branch I've stayed in, I mean when I say legit, it's because the other Toby's Estate I'd been to were small stalls or kiosks. Australia's leading coffee brand, Toby's Estate here is present in a different way in that it's got its own coffee shops. In Australia, at least based on what I saw in Sydney, it supplies coffee stores with their beans instead. That's why I was confused that the Toby's Estate presence that I saw there was in parasols (tents)--- the coffee shops themselves had different names. 🤔

Loving the vibe in this branch better than their newly opened BGC branch because it's more spacious and well designed. I'm always a fan of high ceiling coffee shops because there's more light and feels less cramped. Other elements that I liked in this branch,
> loving the space between tables (they can afford to add more chairs for a good 25 more people but they didn't which was cool),
> their white brick and overall bright appearance,
> nice modern art on the wall,
> clean wood furniture and copper light fixtures atop the big table

I've been here twice so I'll just consolidate things.

Had their long black for P120 (one size only for their one brewed coffee). Great tasting. Not super acidic, has a bit of a sourness and full flavor to it that I liked. Pretty good. 4/5

Oatmeal cookie, chewy which I love {my benchmark is still Sugarhouse, all time favorite, baby! 128523), a bit on the sweet side, but loving this. 4.5/5

Vongole Pasta - oysters with linguine pasta, good quantity and AL Dente, but lacked flavor or saltiness so I had to ask for parmesan cheese. They did willingly give. But for P350, very pricey compared with mid- to upper- range Italian restaurants and even CBTL. I'll rate this just 3/5

Always impressive looking pastry bars, of which Toby's has around 8 variations, I picked the one with half fudge and half something else colored butterscotch (forgot the name). Each of these pastry bars is P120. Very moist, dense and sweet. 3.5/5

Service - very attentive, and they deliver to you the orders. Adding a cute placemat (cute coz of the board game like design with witty statements and coffee facts and other stuff), using wine bottles to serve water. Friendly cashiers. So not bad like some of the former reviews here so it seems they've improved which is great. 5/5

Overall, a 4/5. Nice to have a very good alternative to the usual suspects.

A quick coffee and dessert at Toby's Estate, just few walks from Pancake House. The place is spacious and well ventilated, I often admire everything around the place whenever I visited it.

Tried their Hot Latté (P150), happy with the mug size (compared to the cappuccino that I had the last time). Its bigger. I love the strong coffee taste blended with milk. Toby's coffee is not that hot as I wanted it to be (might be the mixture of milk in it).

Pistachio Cheesecake (P250 per slice) on the side, which I shared with Lorie Mae B. We both love it! There are bits of pistachio and its creamy. One thing.. Its pricey for a single slice. So better to share it 128522

Toby's has quality coffee as always and excellent food & pastries. This place is a bit pricey, but its worth it. Everything is of quality plus great cozy ambiance, nice place to be with friends 10084

I've always wanted to try Toby's Estate's Bucky's à la Mode but it's not available at their BGC branches. Good thing I was at Ortigas last time with my HS friend. 128584

Upon entering, I immediately asked the staff if they have Carmen's Best Salted Caramel ice cream. Fortunately, they have! So I ordered one original bucky's topped with ice cream. Heaven! The combination is too sweet, I know. But wtf, these are my favorites. 128541 Although the staff weren't friendly during the time I went there, they still offered us water. Maybe they know I'm munching on something very very sweet? I think so.

For the interiors, I think, the adjectives would be white, bricky, and rustic. Artsy also! I like their comfort rooms. 128584 Very big, and clean.

P.S. Of course, I also ordered Flat White for my coffee. 9749

P.S.S. The menu in this branch is quite extensive. They serve breakfast, soup, sandwiches, pasta, and even salad! 128584 I actually got curious to try their Calamansi pie. Next time!

How I start my day!

I first tried Toby's in Ortigas when it opened in Robinsons Cyberscape Beta. They have a cozy interior, spacious and homey ambiance which makes me appreciate and enjoy it more! Whenever we have meetings or even gatherings, we go to Toby's.

Their menu includes breakfast, salads, snacks, sandwiches, pasta, desserts, espresso and tea! 128525 My favorite is Mocha (P160)

I have also tried their "Bucky's" a combination of brownies, chocolate cake and fudge. 128525 It's chewy and yummy!

Not so good experience here. I know that latte should not be served piping hot but I think its a tad cold for me. It's almost at room temp. When i requested that the cup be heated, the staff refused. This will be my first and last visit. #boringlatte

I adore Toby's interior and how everything was set up. Felt like a dream kitchen I have in mind. Simple yet modern. Last friday, after lunch together with my officemates, we are back for some chit chats and coffee. They have the best tasting expresso bar. I had capuccino, its perfectly blended and it matched the bucky's brownies.

A highly recommended place. Less crowded compared with pther coffee shops in the vicinity. Good food. Perfect coffee. 10084

I love Toby's mocha, my favorite cup of joe at the moment... I'm really wishing for a branch in QC! But since there is none at present, I make it a point to pass by their branches whenever I'm in the vicinity... Adik lang...

Over the holidays, my bf and I had dessert and coffee after a simple dinner... We both ordered mochas... He got a chunky blonde while I got their heavenly calamansi pie!128154128154128154 Just the amount of tanginess and sweetness combined... I don't share this pie with anyone! Mine!128515

I just didn't appreciate the staff that night... The server was brusque and a bit standoffish for my taste... This branch closes early on Sundays btw...

But the pie!!!128154128154128154

After a client meeting I was having a hard time booking an Uber back to the office. Plus I was really craving for good coffee, so I decided to wait it out at Toby's Estate.

I had the flat white, which has more milk than most of the other drinks in the menu. I asked the barista if they could put in some latte art, and they obliged with the caveat that it's not as good in a takeout cup. I don't think I was shortchanged :)

I also ordered a tuna bun, which I gobbled up in seconds. Hay, the pitfalls of being too busy to eat during peak season.

This branch seems to be a good place to hang out, though it was small compared to Makati branch. Not sure if there's a good crowd during the morning or after lunch rush, as I came mid-afternoon. Service is good, a little better than most coffee shops I usually haunt. I wish there was a branch much nearer to my office or home 128514

There is absolutely nothing like Toby's Estate's Iced Mocha... Again, it is the absolute best mocha in the metro for me! Loyal!128525

Our drinking session last Friday night lasted until early morning... Aaaaaaannnnndddd I had a mid-morning meeting the next day, right before clinic and rounds... I know I should have left early, but my friend and her sister, who live in New York, are here in Manila... Plus it's my friends' birthday, so she was making lambing to the rest of the group who were currently in Manila... Well, madali naman ako kausap!128514 Inuman it was, but I suffered the consequences of my choice the next day...128533 nasa huli ang pagsisisi...128531

Toby's Iced mocha really helped calm my tummy and was instrumental in helping me face the morning... Vampire much?!128517 The chocolatey bits admixed in the coffee makes it even yummier!128522 Bad me, but Bucky's and cream was my breakfast that day! 128513

I'm glad that another friend was driving, so I got to enjoy my coffee and my Bucky's and cream in peace... Glad Toby's Estate was already open when we passed by... Thank goodness for great coffee!!!128525

First time here. Tried out the off menu Gibraltar which was good and strong, I mean really strong for someone who loves more milk in their coffee. Speaking of milk, minus points for not having non dairy options like soy milk or even creamer. Bad for lactose intolerant people.

Had the Dutch eggs for breakfast which was quite tasty.

Food and coffee could be served warmer though.

Pricier than your average Starbucks but less crowded (at least this early in the morning). No easy parking options as well unless you're getting takeout.

Finally I’ve tried Toby’s! I tried the famous Bucky ala Mode! Well at first Bucky is a brownie but they said it’s not haha. So this crunchy outside chewy inside chunky chocolate block is soooo good! I enjoyed eating it with Carmen’s salted caramel. Sweet and addicting! Though you should prepare your wallets because it’s a bit pricey. One order will definitely leave you full.

I’ve also tried the Calamansi Pie, well because its green and I love Calamansi haha. It was served with cream on top. First bite, I was blown away, the calamansi flavor bursts in my taste buds. It has the right sweetness with rich and creamy filling. The cream on top balances the flavors and the crust helped with the sourness of calamansi.

The desserts that I had are both delicious.

Place: The store is very modern with vibrant and industrial ambiance. It’s cool to chill out, have a meeting or just talk with your friends here.
