After our sumptous lunch, told my friends to grab a coffee at Toby's since we also know the Supervisor there. 128522 yeh, to say hello na rin. So off we went...
Iced flat white and Iced Mocha were good at discounted price hahaha thanks to our good friend Ana!

Ambiance wise... Good place to chitchat while sipping coffee. Staff are friendly too.

Service maketh a good cafe. More than the coffee they serve i believe that good service is vital to a repeat business. Toby's makes one mean flat white. I simply love it paired with a bucky's original but the over all experience at this branch is quite a letdown. The frontliner looks very drab and not accomodating (to think i was the one who initiated the conversation, she was not interested at all). She wanted to take my order and get it over with. No salutation, please or thank yous! Great job on that department. Next, cleanliness - i asked the same 'nice' cashier if i can get some tissue so i can clean up the table. Blank stare and she just gave me one thin napkin (not enough to clean 1/4 of the table). I just couldn't bring myself to give them a tip for the 'wonderful' service i had.

To compensate, i just enjoyed their flat white with a 'block' of bucky's. I don't remember it being that hard. I had to be careful and hold the bucky before cutting through with my fork just to make sure it won't go flying off to the other table. Not nice.

I do recommend for you to try out their other branches not this one though. Their location is quite sad, exposed beside the escalator for everyone to see you struggling with your purchased brownie not a brownie.

Sunday morning.  I was suddenly hit with a nasty headache,  then i remembered,  i got no caffeine in my bloodstream.   This type of headache is common in coffee junkies.

Some of you would give your nod of approval when i say that Toby's Estate brews the best cup of joe.  Their flat white is dynamite!  Smooth,  aromatic and strong coffee flavour,  it will hit you point blank.  And just like that,  my headache is gone.

And it's pretty nifty they do latte art.  Not a requirement for me though as it is only for aesthetic purposes.  Good coffee is good coffee with or without latte art.

Peace Out!

I wanted to have coffee and cookies, but it was dinner time already by the time we got to Shang. We were coming from the old parking building, going to the food court area, so I decided to just grab some cookies to go for desert. 128584

I got one piece of chocolate chip cookie and one piece of the peanut butter one. I really enjoyed the chocolate chip cookie I had before, so I was kind of disappointed that it wasn't as good as the first time. Surprisingly, I enjoyed the peanut butter more. You'd think first it's just smooth peanut butter, but it had super small chunks of peanuts that gave it extra crunch. It was also not too sweet and the flavor was not too strong. Peanut butter is really growing on me!! 128513

Can't wait to be back for my coffee fix! Ive only tried their double espresso and cappuccino, so next time, I'll try something else! 🤗

Its never a complete day with my 2 dear friends without us having coffee and dessert on the side. Last Sunday, we found ourselves at Toby's Estate. Their place in Shang is quite dimmed since the mall is currently undergoing some renovations.

I love how Toby's maintained its simple design. Its more of white with accent of black, mini blackboards for their menu, glass displays that keeps the desserts, makes you crave.. Ohh the chunks of buckys!. But most of all, they serve quality coffee and food.

I ordered a cup of Cappucino (P130). I just wanted to have a decent tasting coffee, which I failed to have that morning (when you make one and its not so good). Warning coffee lovers: its "bitin" but its really good! Rich coffee taste balance by milk.

And we tried 3 kinds of buckys or its like chunky brownies:
Chunky blonde- this is golden brown in color with dark chocate bits. This compliments with my coffee 10084

Bucky's cream- its dark brown with white cream at the middle, this one is a must try.

Big Poppa, dark brown in color with bacon bits in the middle.. Its also good

The open area is small (as usual for Toby's Estates) but good thing there were few people when we visited. It's my first time here so I was excited to try. Been wanting to try their coffee kaso whenever I pass by, always full and didn't wanna take my coffee to go.

Their pastries look so appetizing! Me and bffs got different brownies - Big Poppa (P120), Bucky's and Cream (P90), and Chunky Blonde (P100). I like Bucky's the most.

For coffee, I got a capuccino (P130). Only one size though it's super liit for a coffee addict like me. I love that they spend time doing latte art. 128522 Coffee gets cold right away though. And so bitin! I still like the taste so 11088110881108811088️ parin.

600th! Thank you so much, looloo! Thank you for leading me to new places and introducing me to people who share the same passion and appetite! 1008410084

Toby's Estate has been in Shang for quite a while now and I've been dying to spend sometime here for some Sunday afternoon coffee and Bucky's!

So, 2 Sundays ago, my mom and I burned time here, while waiting for our 5pm movie!

We had a double espresso (for me), a cappuccino (for my mom), and an Original Bucky's and chocolate chip cookie ( for sharing).

Double Espresso- this was stronger than expected. I got this because I wanted to avoid dairy. But I couldn't even take it, it was just too strong for my liking. I even made it worse by adding one whole pack of sugar. Bleh. Waste of my money. But that's my fault.

Cappuccino- this, on the other hand, was a treat! My mom decided to half with me cause of my unfortunate espresso experience. I really liked this one, just as it is.9749️ Nothing added, no extra milk, sugar, or whatever. 128076

Original Bucky's- I was really exited to have this again, after a long time... But it was just cold and though. It was hard to slice and bite into. And I realized I wasn't really digging the saltiness of this flavor, at the moment.

Chocolate Chip Cookie- and for this one, I had low or no expectations. But gahhh! It was heaven! And I loved that it was warm! 127850 Definitely one of the best cookies ever, no brainer there. It was the perfect combo with the Cappuccino.

Broke my lenten-no-sweets fast with this-- Bucky's! I'll be back to rate the actual service and coffee, as this was a mid-day to-go treat. Happy Easter! 128007

After our "snack/ dinner" @ Serenitea, me & my girlfriends decided to have something sweet. And I prefer of having a cup of coffee. First thing in mind is the new stall of Toby's Estate.

I love their rich cappuccino, stronger taste though I find it "bitin".. As always. Perfect match is their bucky's, like a brownie but not really. Definitely one of the best coffee place that I can always come back.

I would like to thank Toby's Estate for breaking my one week no sweets streak. Hay. I knew it, I can't live without sweets. ☹

I've heard of the Bucky but I had no idea what it tasted like. I got one bar for Php 80. It was pretty heavy for a dessert bar. It was supposed to be for my brother but since I have no self discipline (lelz), I ate half of it. Omg ang saraaaaaaap 128553 it was chewy and moist and it wasn't too sweet. It had a salty flavor to it which I super loved. It was weird at first but I couldn't stop eating. Haaaaaay I regret giving the half to my brother hahahaha I WANTED IT ALL!!!!!!! With the Bucky, I had a large Mocha. Isa pa 'to, ang sarap uyyyy. Php 170 for a large one, expensive but it was worth it. Perfect blend of chocolate and coffee. 10084
