This is place is blockbuster, we waited on the queue and we are 10th on the waiting list and the customers are all willing to wait. The food is not that expensive and it serves 2-3 persons already. My family had a great time here. We all loved the spicy squid and the fried chicken no need for any sauce and it is delicious as it is! We'd loved to eat there again 128516

Merienda time! They serve solo servings of noodles and siopao just right for a heavy snack. They also serve group meals if you can't decide what to eat. Their prices have increased dramatically since opening in SM BF and SM Southmall though, gone are the days that their dishes costs less than 150pesos. Food is consistent. Salty savory familiar Chinese dishes good for sharing.

We always get Pancit Canton whenever we eat here. It has that nostalgia feel of yesteryears. Generously topped with vegetables, meat and seafood. Service is quick and the manager on duty is really nice to clients.

Senior cards honored.

Sarap. Sulit. Saya. 128521

It was just yesterday when I asked a friend how's the food here, while we're passing by their branch at President's Ave. Got a positive feedback, and thought we'll let the fambam try this next time. So today, brother wanted to have lunch at SM BF, and hence the chance to try this.

It was around 11:30am and the place was almost full. Sakto, only table left were good for 6! 128522 Ordered :

128523 Spinach Soup - good for around 8 servings (with 2 scoops each). Tasted just the same as in the ones serves in Savory, and Wee Nam Kee.
128523 Lumpiang Shanghai - loved this! Not salty, and walang after taste. But needed more shanghai sauce. Didn't ask anymore though, as it tasted good even without it.
9786 Spicy Beef - Tasted good, but found it a bit dry, and not spicy at all. Haha.
9786 Sweet and Sour Pork - Bunso's favorite dish, that's why should be ordered when available. Kind of weird that there's tomato slices; it didn't blend well with the sauce.
128523 White Chicken (Hainanese) - oh loved this! Mom liked it too. Tasty! But I was looking for that two dipping sauces usually paired with it. It was only partnered with a ginger sauce.
128523 Kangkong with Lechon - kangkong's crunchy, but maybe better if the lechon was crispier. but we liked this too!
128529 Mango shake - really lacking taste. Bland. Mango shake's a favorite drink, but this one, I didn't even finish half of it.
> Plus 2 bowls of rice, and a pitcher of iced tea.

Bill was a little over 2000php, and we came out full and satisfied. Sarap, sulit, saya. 128521

I've been to their original branch in Binondo, said to be the oldest, and I liked it there. So when I found out that they also have new branches here in the South, I had to go and try. Their branches didn't fail me as well.

My go-to comfort food in this establishment is the beef mami because of the flavourful broth and the thin noodles. I also loved their Pinsec Frito but today, I chose something different. I got their Spinach Garlic and Asado rice with bokchoy. My companion still had the beef mami because she's a creature of habit. Lol.

The spinach was perfectly-flavoured, the sauce wasn't overwhelming (which was good because one reason why I'm not a fan of chinese food is because of the overflowing sticky sauces that are bordering yucky), and the garlic was crispy which was a plus. 128522 The spinach was not overcooked, too. I like my veggies crunchy. 128077

The Asado rice is not the typical chinese asado that's almost blood-red like it's even appetizing to look at. *eyeroll* Their asado is roasted and I like it. The sauce is served separately so you have an option to include it or not. I think the meat was already good without it. I also had the roasted asado in Lido and I think the difference only lies on the novelty idea of it being pugon-roasted. Or are they cooked the same way?

Service is relatively fast and the cost is reasonable. We only paid a lil more than 500 for the 3 dishes. 128522

Was so hungry that i forgot to take a photo. Sowee.

Had their broccoli beef with rice. Added P20 because I wanted the flower to be included. Was shocked because the serving was generous. Yun nga lang mej mahirap nguyain yung stem ng broccoli, buti nalang talaga nasama yung flower, kundi wala ako makakain haha. The sauce was flavorful as well. Okay na siya for P170. Bali P190 in total. 128077🏻

Binondo experience, available in Paranaque.

If you live in the south, taking a trip to Binondo for some authentic Chinese could be a serious challenge. But sometimes you get such craving for that rare and distinct lasang-intsik Binondo-style, so strong it leaves you no choice but to brave the traffic and outsmart the pickpockets, slashers and that perv in the crowd sneaking behind you.

TOHO Antigua brings a Binondo icon to Paranaque. We've been to both stores, one along President's Avenue and the other at SM BF. Toho is said to be the oldest restaurant in the Philippines from way back the Spanish Colonial Era. My parents-in-law were lucky to have laid eyes on the original structure in Binondo (it was the venue of their wedding reception in 1974) before destroyed by fire in 1984.

Food. When it's Chinese on the table, it's almost impossible to eat riceless, but I did. So the dishes turned out a bit salty for my palate, yet still absolutely delectable. But now I'm reviewing the experience because I'm writing about it, they might have been perfect with a bottle of beer, treating it as "pulutan" instead of a main course.

Spicy Shrimp and Spicy Squid taste alike. Both are stir-fried dishes, seasoned with the exact same amount of sweet, spicy, peppery flavor, plus maybe a handful of not so thinly sliced onion leeks.

If you plan to pair it with rice, I would suggest you order either the shrimp or the squid (because they taste absolutely the same), so that the beautiful flavor gets the appreciation it deserves. As "pulutan", order both, no problem, but be prepared not to enjoy your main courses as much as you would want to.

Imagine how delicious seafoods can be, even bare of any spices, just because they are fresh (it's easy to tell when they are not). That freshness; and how the squids and shrimps were stir-fried to perfection, neither they were too tender nor rubbery; plus that charming drizzle of familiar chinese sauces, together makes these two plates totally tempting.

We've also tried the Lechon Macau and Lomi. They taste fine, but nothing unforgettable. A good note for the lechon is it doesn't have that distinct "baboy" smell that instantly gets me grossed out.

First off, I'd like to welcome my happy pill to Looloo! | Maverick Christopher P (Follow him!) Yay! 128079🏻

It was the last day of exams and we were dead-exhausted and hungry. We initially planned on eating at Mang Inasal but then decided to go to Yabu, but ended up here instead. And to our luck, they had these budget friendly set meals. For P699 you get: rice, pancit and 2 viands! The set is good for 4 people 128566 (No, we didn't finish everything)

The place was just okay, it's your typical chinese resto, nothing too special. The service was quick and the attendants were really helpful.

The food was not bad either. Definitely satisfying for two very hungry pre-med students. 128514

What's with Chinese food and Old people? Recently, mommy would always suggest that we eat here at Toho or at Mandarin (At least we're not eating that much at Max's anymore so yayyy!! 128541).

We had Beef Wanton Noodle Soup, Crab Omelet, and Yang Chow. 128513 The noodle soup was good, tasty and not masebo. I wasn't able to taste crab when I tried the Crab omelet but it was pretty good. We had the sauce separated so we get to control the amount of sauce we want. Rice was okay.

Service was still not that good, though. Servers were everywhere and it was hard calling their attention. We had to wait for our orders and requests.

I remember when I was still in elementary, my family with some relatives would always eat here every sunday dinner. There was just one only branch in bf near the old mcdonalds. The pancit canton and lumpiang shanghai and yang chow was our favorites! We never forget ordering that! 128513 But then eventually, we just stopped eating there. And after n long years, my mom and I decided to eat here for lunch. They also have a branch at SM Southmall.

The rainy season started already so we wanted something hot to warm our bellies. We ordered Wonton Beef Noodle Soup, Pork Siomai, Yang Chow and Garlic Spinach. 128513

The siomai was gooooood. We liked that it was buo and you can really see the meat and shrimp inside. You're sure with the ingredients used 128521

The beef noodle soup was served really hot which made our hearts and tummy warm. It was just a bit salty. To somehow fix it, we tried to put calamansi and a lot of pepper. This is good for sharing na rin. 128513

Wasn't able to try the rice but for a single serving, it was A LOT! 128563

Service was bad and slow. The servers were everywhere and it was hard to call them, too. 128527

Food is really good. Not pricey, serving is right or most of the time I get to bring home food because there's always a lot. I use this resto as the benchmark for comparison to other Chinese food. My kids love to eat here and so does my Dad. It's a must try. This is the resto you'd like to go back to and not just a one time try. Enjoy!

second time to eat here at Toho, good thing they added some extra table outside because the place is a bit small. I'm loving this place because they allowed our dog inside. The service is fast, crew are friendly and the food is good. I enjoyed their seafood hot pot and beef with broccoli, i was a bit disappointed with the crab fried rice because i can't taste any crab. The soy chicken was ok! The sweet and sour pork was average the pork is a bit tough for me to chew, their drink with lychee is very refreshing!

The Chinese people settled here in our country long before our ancestors were invaded by the Spaniards, Americans, and Japanese. It's the reason why we are already accustomed to their culture, food included. No wonder why Toho Restaurant Antigua is hailed as the oldest restaurant in Manila, and continues to grow over the years.

I first found out about this restaurant when our family friend had an event in its President's Ave., BF Parañaque branch. Fast forward to 2014, SM BF opened to the public, and much to my surprise, they also have a branch there. Good thing my HS friends invited me to have dinner here. It's been a long time since I last indulged to their food.

I guess their restaurant in SM BF is a bit smaller, reason why we waited for a few minutes before the waiter found a table for us. We took what we could, so we ended up having a table near their kitchen. Not only that, our area was a bit humid because the a/c was just above us. We didn't catch any of its release of cold air. Yes, it was unfortunate of us. Haha! Good thing it was compensated by their food.

We ordered Calamares, Canton Prito, Steamed Fish Fillet with Superior Soy, Lechon Macau, and Yang Chow Rice. I think it's just me, but their food tasted just like any other Chinese restaurants I've eaten. While it's nothing too special for me, I still loved it because I have a Chinese food lover of a mother. Same as what happens after I eat Chinese food, i became very full and groggy. People kid that it's the MSG kicking in. Haha!

I'll still go back here for three reasons: 1. Try other dishes Toho offers; 2. It's Chinese food (duh!), and; 3. Redeem myself from the unfortunate situation I was in when I ate here. Hahaha! Anyway, if you wish to feel its authentic Chinese vibe, I suggest you visit their Binondo branch. I believe it's where it all started.

i'm craving for Chinese food so we try Toho Antigua at SM BF. The crew here is friendly, the service is good and the food is great!

We ordered a bowl of yang chao rice, fried spare ribs, pancit, mango shake and the hainanese chicken for very reasonable price.

The place is not that big so people start to file up and wait for table to be available. Overall it's a nice place to eat if you're craving for Chinese food.
