My sister recommended Teriyaki Chicken Doria (255PHp) and I liked it. Cheesy na cheesy!

I said the cakes deserve a different review so here it is. Long overdue again. Good thing I remembered it now when we were talking about cakes in the clinic. Made me want to buy a slice somewhere later. 128517

Isha S Jan Therese C and I went to have snacks there and we each ordered a slice of cake.

MATCHA TIRAMISU - 411088
The most expensive of the three, around 200 pesos for that slice, but I must say it was the best in terms of taste and texture. Of course, it being matcha is a big plus point for me to like it. Who doesn't? Di tayo friends if you don't. 128514128514 this cake is layers of differently textured goodness. One layer of matcha, another for spongey cake, another cheesecake-ish in texture, and i i there's also a mousse-y part. Basta i think it's a good cake. Jan got this btw.

MATCHA CAPPUCCINO - 311088
I got this and was just okay. I found it dry and sad. The appearance in itself was not appealing. Those green stuff look like 'lumot' haha! 128517

RED VELVET - 311088
Skip this and matcha cappuccino. This one's dry also and didn't taste too red velvet-y. Good that it's a big slice but the taste was nothing really so great.

Went to the newly renovated Tokyo Bubbletea tonight after a tiring day at work. My last kid cancelled the last minute so I had more time before I had to go to the gym. Of course food is the first thought that came to me, glad foodie workmates are always game. Yehey Isha S and Jan Therese C!!! 128521128521

Soooo, around 10-15 minutes walk from the clinic and we arrived at our gastronomic destination. They were closed for a few months because of the renovation and are now beside this new restaurant named Teresita. I can't remember what that resto previously was... No people dining there though.

Bubbletea's interiors, for me is better now. I found the previous set-up a bit cramped and dark compared to the bright and calming colors they chose after the renovation. The current set-up is also more spacious I think. You'll be welcomed by their cake refrigerator... effective to have us buy their cakes! 128514128514

We were all in a pseudo-diet so two of us got salads while another their california maki.

CAESAR SALAD 3.511088
I have grown the preference of chilled salads. I think theirs would've tasted better if they did just like how Fridays do their Yucatan salad. The salad came with 3 slices of chicken teriyaki meat, which I liked, lettuce, sliced grapes and mangoes, croutons, and parmesan cheese sprinkles on top. and of course their caesar dressing. dressing was okay. It was actually the toppings adding different flavors to the whole thing.

CALIFORNIA MAKI 311088
Jan got this and she said it's just am okay, taste-wise.

POTATO SALAD 311088
Isha got this and the same sentiments with Jan. Nothing too wow about this one as well.

Obviously, we were quite underwhelmed by the food so we looked forward to their cakes!!! I think the cakes deserve a new review for picture's sake. Coming up soon! 128514128514

Came back here tonight for a quick dinner with my workmates Roy Lambert T and Jan Therese C before heading home. It's the first time I've been in here since their renovation (I remember I commented on their deteriorating chairs in my last review). The place looks much much better now! Brighter, cuter and more colorful with comfy chairs and couches as well as adorable food characters painted onto the walls with cute pun-ny sayings such as "Have a RICE day" and "its SOY good", etc. 128514 It got super cold though, the longer we stayed inside.

I noticed that they appeared to have added a lot of new food items to their menu. They still do offer a variety of milk teas, fruit teas, etc., though. Food and drink prices are from 100-200+ pesos with a few exceeding 300 pesos.

I got their Salmon with Potato Salad while Roy got the Caesar Salad and Jan had the California Maki. Food took a while to arrive and our tummies were already grumbling. Anyway, the salmon with my potato salad was kind of dry and sad. I did enjoy the potato salad, though I wish there was more of it. California maki and caesar salad were nothing really noteworthy according to the Jan and Roy. To cap off our dinner, we had an assortment of cakes involving Matcha Tiramisu, Red Velvet and Matcha Cappuccino. Matcha Tiramisu was hands down the best cake we had tonight. Soft, creamy, nicely blended and rounded out flavors. Red Velvet came second, but it got too cloying for me after a while and I couldn't finish it. Finally, the Matcha Cappuccino was a definite no for me. Flavor was confusing and actually tasted bleh for me. We all agreed that this was the dud out of the bunch.

Everything was perfect! You really get your bang for your buck! Serving sizes are huge. And drinks are really refreshing. Definitely a place I would go back to and a place I highly recommend.

Landed here because Octoboy was closed for a private event. Ordered okonomiyaki and takoyaki. Not good. It wasn't hot enough, lacks flavor and the okonomiyaki is chewy, not enough toppings or meat bits. Food is bland plain and boring. Never coming back for the food. Food quality doesn't justify the steep prices.

127881127881 WOOHOO 100th POST! 127881127881

So I hung out here on a Friday night to let the traffic pass. Staff were nice and appeared accommodating. The place is bright and cheery but some of the chairs are falling apart.

I ordered a green tea milkshake and california maki rolls. One thing I didn't like though was that the server who attended to me did not ask me how I liked my drink, so I had to chase after him pa to tell him the specifics (sugar level, etc.)

The green tea milkshake was nice, I liked the ice cream on top, but it was too sweet so maybe they didn't really listen to what I said about the sugar level. Anong point huhu. I was too tired to argue though so I just let it slide. However, because of the over-sweetness, I did not get to finish my drink. The california rolls had a significant discrepancy in the rice-filling ratio. Too much rice! Haha. For dessert, I had their caramel chocolate cake. It was nice and moist but not really something amazing flavor-wise.

Last night, my friend and I decided to hang out. He was craving for Jap food, particulary ramen, in that late hour of the evening so we ended up in Tokyo Bubble Tea. I wasn't hungry but because he ordered, I ended up asking the waiter for their bestsellers.

We had Chasu Ramen split into two, one order of their 8pc California Maki (not bad), and I had an additional JCC Milo Milk Tea because it looked so good in the picture.

I was disappointed with their ramen. The pork strips were too thick and hard to chew. Unlike other ramen bars, this tasted very less ordinary, trying hard to be ramen. It seemed like it was made out of a sachet of an instant do-it-yourself ramen. Ugh. Yeah it was that bad. Well I think ramen is really not their "field of expertise". California Maki was ordinary plus the rice in the maki wasn't that sticky that it gets destroyed once dipped in the sauce.

Good thing there's JCC Milo Milk Tea! 5 stars for this Milo Dinosaur Milk Tea with Japanese Cream Cheese (JCC) on top! There are pearls and jelloes underneath too. It was layers and layers of goodness, from the chocolate powder, to the jellies, cream cheese, the milk tea and the pearls! Then it hit me, it's Tokyo Bubble Tea, where their milk teas are the ones people crave, not ramen. Oh well, my friend liked the dish anyway.

Ask me where to meet in Tomas Morato and I'd probably pick this place. Not for their milk tea or food but because it's cozy and on that busy stretch of road, this would likely be that one spot where there will be parking available. Not sure if I'm just lucky, hehe.

Milk tea is okay. Japanese maki is enough to satisfy a maki craving but when you're on the lookout for high quality Japanese food, you know better.

I ordered almond milk tea, my friend ordered taro milk tea. We had the sinkers sa taro washed with water then 0 sugar (this is becoz my frend doesnt like sugar). I had 75% only

For around php125, my frend got a watery taste with a hint of taro. And i must say that their milk teas have gone bad. Well, there was a hint of almond.. But. Not like before... I can taste The slime in the sago more than the tea... Sadly i think they did not maintain their legacy of tasty milk tea as before.

I think serenitea reigns.
