I took a few days off work and decided to fly to Hong Kong with my parents. It's been a while since I took an international flight from NAIA 3 ever since I moved to Cebu. From where I am, tourist spots are also very accessible already. Since I wasn't able to avail meals on board in advanced, I made sure my parents and I got to have a hearty meal before boarding the plane.

I wanted to have snacks before entering the gates but my dad insisted to go inside immediately. So we ended up eating in Tokyo Cafe in NAIA 3 gate. Prices were steep here already. Still I actually enjoyed the meal very much. We each tried one of their new rice meals and they were quite tasty. I enjoyed my beef dish, my mom had the chicken while my dad had pork. Textures varied because of the meat, but the taste were pretty much the same. It was filling in the tummy, just enough for the flight.

I also had 2 Kani sandwiches to go because my dad's a diabetic and I couldn't risk having him hungry. He needs to eat in small portions but as often as possible. I actually really like the Kani Sandwich. My mom and I shared the other one while my dad finished the other. I liked the sauce very much, it went so well with the Kani, and the bread they used was delicious!

I was looking for a coffee shop in terminal 3 after done with the Immigration. Unfortunately, there wasn't a lot to choose from. Since the other coffee shop was crowded, no harmed in trying this Tokyo Cafe.
Ordered Kani sandwich and a capuccino before my flight to Hongkong. No que so only waited for 3 minutes and got my warmed sandwich which was ok. Can't complain. Capuccino was so so... That was 2nd coffee that morning just to beat time while waiting for boarding.

Place was pretty cool actually. Nice and colorful wall papers. The crew are accommodating.

Enjoyed their Miso Soup above anything else.

The Katsudon tasted OK. There was a lot of rice and I appreciate the salad on the side but the dressing isn't enough.

Tried out their rice meal - hamburg stew and iced peach tea. The rice meal was okay, the rice was like porridge, the burger was just right. 128522

Meh. This place had seats... So here I am.

P138 for classic hotdog sandwich.
P70 for a can of mug rootbeer.

Definitely over-priced.

One of the better food options at the NAIA Terminal 3, Tokyo Cafe offers reasonably priced meals, a cozy ambience and free wifi! The Kalbi steak is satisfying but it would have been way better if they served it with Japanese rice though.
