We had dinner here because everywhere else was full and I did not want to line up as I was really hungry. Wrong move. It was a bad way to end our really great day last Monday. 128557
K actually joked that there's a Waffle Time stall when he remembered that I wanted waffles for breakfast.

I got their corn soup, their Japanese carbonara, bolognese, and an iced lemon tea.

I should have canceled the pasta as I was full after the soup.

The carbonara was nothing special.

The bolognese 128070🏻 tasted like fastfood spaghetti. And when I mixed it, there wasn't any ground meat in sight. WTF!!!

Their iced tea is also artificial. I was expecting authentic iced tea. It was too sweet, and when I asked for lemons, the waitress told me they didn't have fresh lemons available. I asked her what they used in my iced tea and all she told me was "may base po". 128529128529128529

This used to be a good restaurant. I wonder what happened.

Creamy Ebiko Pasta, Kalbi Cheese Sandwich with a pitcher of Peach Tea Delight = Mega Happy Tummy! Super Yummy talaga. Trust me, it taste so much better than it looks in the pictures. The portion was just right and the attendants were so nice pa. 'ika nga ni Terminator.... "I'll be back!!!"

The minute we entered Tokyo Cafe, there was already this looming feeling that it wasn't going to be a pleasurable dining experience. And we stood there waiting to be seated, gone unnoticed for a minute or two, while the staff played indifferent mowing along doing there routine looking down and playing possum. Three at the counter, one carrying his tray serving multiple customers, one clearing tables with zen like focus.

The food wasn't so special to rave about but I'm not going to start bashing the dishes. There was at least a degree of quality in cooking them. The real downer to this and alot of diners will probably agree that there was zero smiling in the service provided and it showed that the service for them (the waitresses) was hassling more than anything. The aura and the atmosphere was dark, brooding and heavy. The waitress who served us Laila, served indifferently and would not look me straight in the eye to properly take my order and waiters rushed like they should have ended their shift yesterday and never stopped to look if customers were requiring attention and assistance. As my companion put it, the family at the other table seemed like they were riding a rollercoaster asking for attention, probably for the bill.

It may have been a bad day for the staff, just so I'd give them the benefit of the doubt, but who am I kidding. This is the dining experience we're talking about. Thank you Leila (yes, I'm calling her out for not being apologetic of her rudeness and defiant strut) for embodying the vices that hotel and restaurant trainers and restaurateurs explicitly say you shouldn't have when serving paying patrons.

Also, there are flies swarming the place.

We ordered their rice bowl for tonkatsu, beef tepanyaki and ebi tempura:
Value for Money: Not worth it for the portion of servings
Taste: The miso soup is ordinary including their tonkatsu and ebi tempura
What I Love: The taste of their beer tepanyaki..the meat taste like it was grilled first which was really good and their kiwi shake and two berry shake too 128512

Go for the Bento meals. They are a good value for money. I tried Chicken Namban and Ebi Furai Bento Meal and it was good. Their crepes are also good for sharing :)

I was craving for jap food last sunday night, good thing my companions went with the flow 128517 i have to admit their menu is sort of unique, having both neonand traditional japanese dishes, they are able to cater both the old souls and the new kids.

Liked their seafood pizza, crust was so thin and crispy and their creamy ebiko Pasta was delish! Maybe i'll try some of their traditional dishes next time

In the hospitality world service is really everything . It would not of mattered if they had the best yakisoba or tempura . My disappoint was i had come in and seated and given a menu . I asked to have a soda first as i was very thirsty from shopping all over MOA . I waited 15 minutes for my drink which never came . It so sad when there is a large wait staff standing around goofing around instead of taking care of their customers . It wasnt even busy at the time. If i were the owner of this franchise i would fire my managers as they are not doing there job . I walked out and told the cashier to cancel my order for soda and walked over to Lugang restaurant which i have much better reviews

Felt the urge to try this again after years. Taste, service and ambiance here are awesome. I love almost everything about Tokyo Cafe - except for their small portions.

It's not your typical Japanese restaurant as they serve different cuisines with a touch of Japanese. I loved all the dishes we ordered but I would recommend their thin crust pizza the most. Then try the Manila Mango Crepe for dessert! 128077

Tokyo Café isn't the typical Japanese restaurant you expect it to be- it actually serves a variety of dishes, from American to Filipino to Japanese (of course). Their french toast was okay, not the best. Their chicken, seafood pizza and maki rolls were good, though. Will definitely come back to try out their other dishes.

I can't remember what we exactly ordered. But what I love here is their Creamy ebiko pasta! This is my fave!
I love how they put a japanese signature on
their food even on their pizzas!

A good value for money as well! :)
Some of their menus are good for 2 persons!

The service was great, the staff were very kind.
The ambiance is pleasant.
Now.. Down with the food.
Creamy Ebiko Pasta- 127775127775127775 just okaay. I think it lacks an explosion of flavor. And shrimps taste bland.
Surf&Turf- 127775127775127775127775 they cooked it well but the meat and shrimp (again) tasted a little bland so I asked for salt and pepper. Aand they don't have a salt shaker.
California maki- 127775127775127775127775127775 hahaha I'm not sure if it is even a roll. Bigger than other california makis I've had and it tasted great. Good quality maki 128077
Matcha Smoothie- 127775127775 lacks flavor. Love the red bean with the whip. Lol
Double Berry Shake- 127775127775127775127775127775 yuum . There are still little chunks of berries 10084
Tokyo Blend coffee- 127775127775127775127775 just right but no wow.
Sumibiyaki(?) coffee- 127775127775127775127775 got some powerful coffee aftertaste there.

TOKYO CAFE is one of our favorites 128525 the photo shows Creamy Ebiko Pasta (a must try) costs around P250 i guess, and, for me, it was worth it because it has around 5 prawns that were fairly big and fresh. We also ordered Tokyo White (pizza with mozzarella and white sauce) and Tokyo Boneless Chicken (which my boyfriend said it tasted like that of Kenny Rogers'). Their smoothies were nice also. I liked their Double Berry which is a combination of blueberries and strawberries.

I recommend this place for dates :)

Ordered the Beef Surf and Turf, Carbonara and Matcha. The beef tenderloin steak is kinda bubblegum-y, but the shrimp is very flavorful. It looks appetizing because it rests in garlic soy butter. I like the Matcha!!! But it's not really extraordinary. The carbonara is just the usual carbonara. The service is great but the fly wants to share with our food.

Had late lunch with some friends here yesterday, and we got their marguerita pizza, tokyo white pizza, and their regular (5-pc) chicken basket!

They all tasted okay! The marguerita was sweet, and the tomatoes on it were fresh! But we liked the tokyo white better. I think it was cream + mozarella? As for the chicken, though, nothing too special! I liked the fries on it though! :)

They had me at Buy 1 Take 1 pizza!!
We got Margherita and Pepperoni for pizza and the Creamy Ebiko Pasta.

Though I was still confused of their theme if japanese or american, both or fusion❓
Still loved both! The pizza although nothing japanese, was so good! Gooey cheese is always 128077. The creaminess of pasta with shrimps was a winner for my family! A fave I must say 128076!
Nice interiors, efficient staff, with the promo it gained 5 stars! 128513

This used to be me & my sister Ada T's favourite comfort food place in the middle of the jungle that is Mall of Asia. Just an order of ther margherita pizza or prolly burger steak or iced coffee would suffice.

It's been a while since i last visited this place, it's different now. I think they rearranged the tables to accommodate more people, which i think is fine, but the thing is you also feel so crowded, tables are placed too close to each other. So me & the boyfriend had late lunch here just this Saturday, we were so hungry at that.

▪️ we both had iced milk tea. It was so bland.128530
▪️ i had the something beef in a box as well as the Tokyo Boneless Chicken. The latter i liked better
▪️ boyfie had the mixed sausage bento box, it was sulit but in taste? Nothing very special.

It's only now that i noticed, the past 4 reviews have been all on Japanese food. Weird that all were not even planned on. Wala lungggz.128513🇯🇵127857127844

What i live the most in here is that they have a dummy of their dishes. It can help you choosing your meal! I love their ceasar salad by the way 128522
