I've always seen Tokyo Cafe as a UCC wanna be ever since they opened in Mall of Asia years ago. They have so much similarities in their menu choices.

After searching for parking which is a bad thing for this location, am glad they had fresh shakes. I had the Apple and Carrot shake. It was good but I think they forgot to shake it further. It was like eating small chunks of fruits and vegetables.

The Ebiko Shrimp pasta was delightful. Call it redundant but this dish had shrimp eggs and shrimp itself. Seasoned well, pasta al dente.

The Ham and Cheese small sandwiches though affordable I won't recommend. You probably could do it better at home.

Next to my favorite, the Loco Moco, is the Chicken Omurice. I especially love the demi sauce that comes with it.

For the Loco Moco, you can ask for it to be served as mixed to the rice, or separated and just pour it to your rice like KFC gravy. Haha!

Searching for a place to eat at Venice Piazza, we ended up at Tokyo Cafe 128522 Yung sa bungad pa talaga. Haha! The interior was simple and cute.

I ordered Gyu Ju and I really liked it. It was so tasty 128525 yum! With miso soup pa!

Their California Maki was just so so. Ang dami ng rice sa Maki, it was big though but I wouldn't recommend it. I couldn't find the taste of mango. Yun talaga hanap ko 128517

Pero yung Gyu ju talaga masarap! Hehe. Pwede na, ang daming serving. Sulit naman.

We also ordered pizza, all meat yata. Thin crust, not bad 128522 super busog na nga lang kami kaya di naubos.

Okay naman yung service nila 128077🏼

I would come back, I heard masarap daw pasta dito.. Carbonara? Next time, I'll try that 128522

Food is generally okay but this one experience (last year) drove me away...

They have this little baskets on the table that contains your cutlery. When we opened it up to get some spoon/forks, 2-3 cockroaches came crawling out. Ewww...

Never going back...

Our take out did not include rice. We had it delivered to our office but it arrived too late; we already had to consume the ulam coz we're gonna be late for a meeting. Horrible horrible experience eating Japanese food with no rice!! We should have been refunded the full price but only the rice were refunded! Ugh.

Creamy Ebiko Pasta is one of the best I've tasted. It's like a creamy seafood marinara with a twist. 128077128077128077 Truly a must try for Seafood lovers!

One of the best Carbonara I've ever had! 128525128525128525
The first time i tried it was last year during Valentines day at Boni branch (beside GoHotels) 9786️ and i actually told my boyfriend that it is the best of the best haha 128516 so during one of our monthsary, he bought me carbonara for merienda. Although it was not creamy like the one i had in Boni, it is still good! Very flavorful 128076

Their Creamy Ebiko Pasta is also a hit for me! 128077
i had a chance to try it when our Manager treated us for lunch 128514 it was very creamy, and has 4-5 pieces of ebiko (prawns) if i remembered correctly.

Service at Piazza is not that good tho. Our orders arrived after waiting for so loooong. And the crew assisting us is not friendly, not even smiling. 128078

Backlog from yesterday's lunch out with my officemates.

It was one of our officemate's last day. We decided to eat at Tokyo Cafe since it's the only resto that has few people and I don't want to eat at fast food chain. Hehe. We we're atleast ten and we ordered for each. There are no group meals as I could remember.

I had the Creamy Ebiko Pasta. Serving size was enough for me though it looks a little for it's price. It's a spaghetti type pasta but with a pinch of carbonara and shrimp is so tasty. It was nakakaumay. There was no extra garlic bread and shrimps were just three pieces.

Service was awful! 128544 I wasn't that complaining about the air conditioner but my officemates does. And yes, it was hot. It feels like we're eating outside. What I don't like is their slow service. 128542 And some dish is unavailable. And prices are not good.

128205 My reviews are based on my experiences. Places are not all glam and glittery, they have flaws and cons, so don't expect stars poppin' on my page. And praises about this and that.

We have our own opinions and I guess that makes Looloo interesting, we could share our thoughts and comments about a thing or two. If you happen to hate what I said, no offense. That is what I think. That is what I know.

No hatin', just start eating. 128522

If there was an option for 'NO STAR' I would have chosen that one. I placed relatively simple orders. One Clam Chowder, Creamy Ebiko Pasta and the 3 pcs. Fried Chicken, and they screwed up the Fried Chicken!!! They actually served a RE-FRIED Chicken!!! I had to tell waitress to serve a freshly cooked chicken instead of the fast food stunt they tried to pull! I waited almost an hour and I even had to follow it up several times! I haven't been this annoyed at a restaurant for such a long time. So disappointed!

No words for this eatery. I had high hopes for this restaurant given that it's situated in piazza, but obviously my 1 star explains it all. After my spine therapy, I went straight to Enderun to have dinner with Dianne. Being foodless for 7 hours, we decided to head on to piazza to have dinner. Since we basically tried almost restaurants in the location, we decided to eat at Tokyo cafe to satisfy my angry tummy. There wasn't really anything strikingly delicious in their menu, we wanted to leave and just go to yabu but then I was extremely famished so we stayed. Being an avid fan of "curry", I had the beef curry (as said in the description: in it are juicy thickly sliced beef that are drenched in curry sauce. Wanted to have chicken here but to my dismay they do not serve white meat, so yes that's why I opted for the need instead thinking that it would be lean and "healthy". My food came and boy, not even inches near my face I could see the glow of oil around the place. Upon taking a closer look at the dish it was like a very mediocre type of beef that looks ridiculously unpalatable. It was soaked in oil. The curry sauce was nowhere to be seen excerpt that you would know it has a slight hint of curry because it was brown. Much to my disappointment, i had to ask for curry sauce. They placed it in a bowl and was glad that when it arrived it had the color of an authentic curry sauce. I tasted it first and.... Man, it's like water with food coloring. Before pouring it to my rice, I braved the oily plate and checked if the oil was abundant enough to soak the rice at the bottom, well it was. Unfortunately, it was. It's as if the rice was cooked with oil and not water. That much oil. Anyway, instead of wasting the food and since I was dreadfully hungry. I poured all the contents of the curry sauce on my rice and splashed hefty amounts of kikkoman and chili powder. It took me ONLY 5 spoonfuls to give up. I am not sure if they really serve the worst food here or their chef is just uneducated.

Dianne had the chicken with yakiniku sauce with leeks and scrambled eggs. Not much to give but this: she only had 3 spoonfuls. When I took a closer look, yup, the rice was also cooked in oil. Chicken was undercooked and barely had enough meat.

I don't wanna advise you guys to stay away from this place coz who knows maybe their sashimis or makis could save them.

Never ever coming back.

Sadly, i can't appreciate food as much when i'm full, but my cousin wanted to binge. Despite the fullness, i wouldn't say no to that. Spell MATAKAW!

We ordered a california roll - which was more of a sandwich type so it kept breaking.

We sorta shared a caesar salad - had a few leaves and decided to give all to my cousin because she was craving for leafy veggies.

I ordered an oyakodon which was good but just OK.

She ordered the wagyu steak. We were surprised there was much sauce to our dislike.

Hmmm, we made some bad selections there. Oh pish posh. Always a next time.

When you order here, it's either a hit or a miss. Even the drinks! Iced tea is not that goodx Better know what to order. I've been here thrice to check out other food and give a chance but for my food experience, happy-sad-happy. I'll give 3 stars.

Ordered Kalbi Ju worth P275.00 (with soup) and Orange Juice worth P60.00.

Good food. Beef is perfectly cooked. Rice is kinda sticky but not too mushy. Orange Juice is too small but tastes good.
Good staff. Friendly enough. Customers are greeted in Japanese.

Service Charge? Yes.
