Not a fan of Tokyo Tokyo, but I gave it a try since mom was craving for chicken karaage. She ordered the bento meal (chicken karaage, rice, buttered veggies and red iced tea) and I chose Spicy chicken (ramen, gyoza, red iced tea). I ordered an additional California maki 4 pcs to complete my meal.

Spicy Chicken ramen - feels like I'm eating an instant noodle with spicy chicken karaage. The soup has no taste. Don't bother sipping the soup coz you'll just get disappointed.

Gyoza - tastes like blah! My mom tried it and she did not like it too. Maybe its the wrapper.

California maki - this would do if you're craving for some, but it needs to be improved. They should have used Japanese rice instead of the regular white rice to satisfy their customers.

Chicken Karaage - This was the only dish that I liked. Tasty and juicy chicken fillets with a light crispy crust.

Not sure if I'll come back here again.

Sometimes, our company would host lunch meetings and that means Free Lunch! Haha. For lunch, the food was Tokyo Tokyo! In my mind, I was expecting Tempura Bento or something to that caliber but alas, only got the 99 peso meals with an order of California Maki.

The Donburi meals of Tokyo Tokyo are composed of Salmon, Chicken Oyakodon and Pork Tonkatsu. I chose Salmon Donburi. Oh regrets, since I know Salmon is expensive here, the Salmon patty is full of extenders and just a sliver of Salmon bits in between. It is topped with nori strips, so that's a nice touch and a bowl of donburi actually has a lot of rice.

The egg included in the meal is okay. The California Maki tastes normal. It's an okay meal but I was left feeling meeeeh because of the extender in the Salmon patty.

I want Tempura! Haha. Oh well, beggars cannot be choosers.

PS. Did you notice the heart shaped wasabi? 10084

After some grueling window shopping, I decided to take a break and get some refreshments.

I walked over to Tokyo Tokyo and ordered their Red Iced Tea hoping for some refreshing taste. Alas, I find their Iced Tea to be too sweet, borderline Tempra flavored.

Oh well, gave it to my sister. She finished it though.

Tried their Burger Donburi (@P117 with red iced tea) and it was satisfying to the stomach but not to the taste. I tried their Burger Donburi a few weeks ago at Greenbelt 1 and the burger was really good - which is why I ordered it here in Festival...There was something not right about this meal, not really sure if it was the sauce or the beef. Hope they keep their meals consistently good in all stores.

I've been reading a lot of Looloo | reviews about Ramen and its divine goodness. But having no time to travel to Makati or check out nearby Ramen places during lunch break, I would have to settle on commercial Japanese Cuisine.

I was surprised that Tokyo Tokyo now have Ramen on their menu. I ordered the Tempura Ramen for P99 (Snack Size).

I was giddy and excited to taste it. But meeehhh, was I disappointed. For me, it doesn't taste good. The soup is not thick but so thin and not flavorful at all. The vegetables are limp. There's some sort of meat most likely ground beef.

The only redeeming ingredient is the Tempura.

Overall, it is not a good eat. 128532
