Got the beef misono bento meal even though I prefer getting the sumo meal. The sumo meal does not include the dessert and the soup, but it's way cheaper than getting two bento meals. But anyway, got the bento meal for PhP224 which is not really bad as it already includes the beef misono, unli rice, side dish, soup and the almond jelly.

Beef misono and chicken karaage were okay, although the misono is slightly sour than usual. Onion rings tho, is more of breading than onion 128517

Tokyo Tokyo is our favorite place when hunger strikes and the budget is pretty tight. Their sumo meals for two will always be our personal fave. For Php 150 each, you can get a combination from either chicken karage, beef misono, tonkatsu or tempure with vegetable sides, red ice tea and yes, refillable rice. It would definitely make you full! Just add Php 40 to upsize both drinks. Their donbori are good alternatives too. One of the most convenient japanese food chain still.

Tokyo-tokyo is one of the affordable Japanese fast-food chains i know. This place is popular for its unlimited rice and sumo meals for sharing.

The food: Aside from the sumo meals that are good for 2, you could also try other listing on their menu. I love tokyo-tokyo's ramen as well, especially their spicy ramen and California maki. They also have don buri meals at Php 99.00. Everything on here is sulit if you're looking for a budget-friendly food-chain. :-)

Best-sellers: Tonkatsu, Chicken Teriyaki, and Tempuras. of course red ice tea!

Can you guess what this meal at Tokyo Tokyo is called?

It's the Maki Donburi!

What keeps us going back to Tokyo Tokyo is that they have been regularly updating the dishes on their menu.

Similar to other Donburi variants, the Maki Donburi is served with a generous amount if Japanese rice and topped by cut crabsticks (rather big cuts of maki) and onion rings. What makes this Donburi special is the Donburi sauce that's nicely put over the maki and onion rings.

At only P120, the Maki Donburi meal already comes with your choice of drinks- Coke, Royal or Sprite. An upgrade to red iced tea would cost a few more pesos more but i kinda missed having Coke so I didn't bother to upgrade.

Definitely recommending this to those looking for a filling, thrilling lunch without burning a hole in your pockets 128521.

I'm a big Japanese food fan.. I guess anybody following me would notice that... I have eaten in Tokyo Tokyo before.. I don't wanna compare it with other Japanese Resto I've been with because this is a fast-food, but in this specific branch, the service is crappy. The food is and can't even be compared to other not so high end Jap Food joint I have been with. The gyoza I ordered was soggy and tasted like it was cooked 3 to 4 days ago. In short it tasted "panis". The ramen was a nightmare.. The noodles was not cooked properly, the pork was hard to bite, and the broth tasted almost like a sinigang because it was sour. I haven't done a review with a bad rating until this one.. With so much frustrations with their food I didn't bother to complain anymore. One thing is for sure, I won't be eating in any Tokyo Tokyo restaurant... EVER... 128547128547128547128547128547

Always, always order sumo meals! Sulit and yummy. I am only sad about one thing, and that is they lessen the servings of their food compared before. 128513

Wala bang zero star rating?

Seriously, DO NOT ORDER THE SHRIMP BURGER!

It was like they bought a shrimp burger from wendy's, chewed it 20 times, spat it out, and then re-fried to perfection.

Depressing.

This Tokyo Tokyo shitake mushroom burger is a good buy at P151 with fries (wasabi flavor) and red iced tea.

The bun is enticing to the eye with its black and white sesame seed. The quality of the bread is actually good -quite dry but matches the shitake's moist flavor. The sandwich is very well prepared (this is what I'd always expect with Japanese food) with the sauce or spread staying where it should and doesn't drip to the sides. The shitake mushroom itself is good and leaves no aftertaste.

The quality of the fries can be improved though. The fries looked very ordinary, typical off-the-freezer kinda fries. The fries are cut thin (similar to McDo fries) but the quality seems to be much better as it is more filling. The flavoring is very similar to Potato Corner's sour cream and onion with a certain spicy (wasabi-ish) taste but would not get tears out of your eyes 128541. For this price though, i would expect more value - bigger cuts perhaps?

If you're not used to Tokyo Tokyo's red iced tea, you'll find it a lot sweeter than other red iced tea variants around. I would always compare it to Lipton's as they basically have the same taste but Tokyo Tokyo's version is a bit sweeter.

Oh by the way, Tokyo Tokyo now has Japadogs (parang Hapadogs lang) which I will also try very soon!

Stopped by here for a snack and ordered their shrimp burger. It was okay, nothing special, just something to hit the spot with when I was hungry.

Saw their ad that they serve authentic noodles for their ramen and they got us interested.
in fairness! masarap! pwede na!
for 99 pesos you get the snack version which is good enough for one person. you may add 51 pesos for gyoza and drink. the regular one is 150 bucks.

Their tempura ramen costs around 100 pesos and tastes better than Rai Rai Ken's nabeyaki ramen.

Nuff said. 128539
