My brother probably has suki card in Tong Yang. We went there on a busy Friday but then we were seated right away. Not complaining! We were with our balikbayan aunt and we just went to Greenhills to kill time.

My brother loves Tong Yang, I think his family dine here almost twice a month. 128514 The moment we were ushered to our table, he got up immediately and got all the fish and starchy balls for grilling and hotpot respectively. One thing though is that there is a wafting smell of meat that is not chilled enough.

I got lots of wintermelon tea and was looking for vanilla ice cream to make an instant Gong Cha-like drink right there. No vanilla ice cream. :( There were ube, melon, chocolate, and something like toffee nut. Their halo-halo didn't have leche flan though. Sad. :(

The fun part of course is the variety. You have lots of meat, leaves, and seafood to choose from plus you have the option to grill it or dunk it in your hotpot (you can choose from sinigang, normal, or spicy broth).

Ahia: Healthy ang fish eh. Ayoko ng meat. Heto oh I'll cook for you. 128524
Me&Aunt: Wow. Dami butter. Healthy...? 128563

We had a reservation for 6pax at 6pm. We were seated at around 7:30pm. We understand that people tend to take a long time during buffet but the staff could have been more apologetic when it comes to the wait time.

The food choices was a bit limited compared to their Centris branch. Then the spacing of the tables was cramped up. Since we were seated late, we had a short time to enjoy our dinner and it was closing time so they switched of the AC an hour into our meal. Not happy with our experience.

It's spacious and the servers are quick but there are fewer choices than I expected. I love that there are hotpot, grill, and cooked food options. We even asked for sinigang soup after we ate so much beef. I just wish that there are more selections.

We were glad there were seats still available. I made no prior reservations.

We were placed on the second floor. Actually, it wasn't too bad. Lesser people, good view of Greenhills, you had individual hotpots compared to the shared one on the first floor.

The selection wasn't too bad. I ate a lot of their sushi, clams and fishballs.

Good service by Mr Jaypee. 128077🏻

Chose tong yang over sariwon last night. 128548 I was a little disappointed the service and the quality of food. The selection is good. Not as varied as sambokojin, but theres a lot of seafood and "other meats" like isaw and gizzard. You can grill your meat beside the shabu-shabu pot with two broths.

The service was blah. There were only a few tables occipied, and yet the servers are not around when you need them. Also, the utensils and plates need to be cleaned better.

I still prefer Tongyang over Yakimix. 128077🏻 wide selection of seafoods (they have different kinds of shellfishes i.e clams, bamboo clams, imbao, wild clams etc), oysters, mussels. Only complaint is that it takes a long time for them to refill the shrimps. They also have some hot dishes available (steamed crabs, siomai, siopao, fried chicken, makis).

We prefer to stay at the 2nd floor because of the individual soup pot, you can cook your own soup.

A friend and I was craving sushi for lunch last week. As were to hungry to look for a proper japanese restaurant we ended up having lunch at tong yang as their buffet had sushi.
We only had a couple of sushi, dumplings, and we found the satay soup good and the icecream pleasurable.

First time to try tong yang. I like the fact that you can grill and have food cooked in broths at the same time. We got the mixed broths. I really like the spicy one. I was looking for pork and beef strips to grill but sadly it comes in additional costs so I didn't bother ordering them. They have a lot of choices for you to cook anyway.

Food - depends on how good you cook
Service - poor.. Poorest!
- asked for a clean glass and they gave me a glass with specks of dried debris in short: dirt! ( is that their version of clean?! )
- the waiter just placed the wet specked glass like he hates his job and he cared less of knowing how good service should be.
Money's worth - with their poor service and the same buffet selection, they're just worth Php 200.00 or less!

Yep.... You got that right! The one on the right really is sinigang. Hahahahaha I'm not a big fan of shabu shabu actually, so we decided to get different bases.

I'd still go to Sambo anytime but I think it's just preference. If you eat and love shabu shabu, might as well go here. But for tempura and all sorts of grilled stuffs then Sambo is the way to go.

But considering the cost, 550 for the weekend and dinner time, it's not at all that bad. Plus it includes drinks, with 2 of my favorites so I couldn't complain - guyabano and four seasons.

Minimal selection but for the price, I guess I really shouldn't be demanding so much. I didn't get to try everything either because I think the place was kind of small. 128532

I did, however, enjoy their tocino. 128522 so that's a must try, as well as their orange ice cream which tastes like twin popsies. 128513 and then everything else was meeeeh. 128517

Also! I think this is the only buffet place where I've seen almond jellies being served. So... Yeah. That's kind of a first.

Tong Yang has been around for more than a decade. I remember one of their first branches along quezon avenue. It's basically from the same group of people that created Mini Shabu-Shabu, Mei-Lin, and Center Stage karaoke. I love their abundant selection of healthy-looking Chinese delicacies. This branch in Promenade extension is fairly new but people are already crowding it. The Service is quite excellent and the food is always fresh and of course, deliciously satisfying!

HOORAY FOR BUFFET!!!

I Love Tong Yang because the food is always so yummy! Some of my favorites were the Tocino, Chicken BBQ, Beef, and the Hotdogs! There were a lot of options to choose from! Free drinks too!!!

LOVE IT! Just make sure that you make a reservation or come early during weekends and holidays. It can get pretty crowded. 128523

The buffet was pretty good! There's a good selection of dishes, not overwhelming unlike other restaurants.

Their shabu-shabu soups are yummy! Try the miso. The meats for the grill were also tasty and tender.

I also enjoyed the Chinese dishes that were ready-to-eat. The siomai was excellent!

I just wish they had better dessert. I had avocado ice cream and halo-halo, which were alright.

Service was good, too. The waiters were very attentive, and were cautious to constantly adjust our grills.

Celebrated our friend Mika's birthday at tong yang. She was craving for Korean. And you never cross a birthday girl who's pregnant. Haha.

Place was a little cramp. Usually at buffets I would expect something more spacious. The disadvantage of having a small space is that the buffet would have a smaller space as well. Well, the meats and seafood are far better than other Korean buffets (they slice the meat freshly when you request for it) and they have sea mantis (which looks like a smaller craw fish).

I love the fact you can grill your food on the spot but honestly, I would like it better if someone else was cooking it for me. #spoiled haha. But the fresh scallops were awesome.

All in all it was a good treat. But I found it cramp and a little congested. And since I came in a little late, I was in a hurry. The waiters didn't refill the plates as much narin.

But at the end of the day, I'd still go for ye dang or hogalbi. It isn't Korean enough for me without jap chae and kimchi :(
