Tonkatsu by Terazawa's famous Frozen Greentea. For all the greentea lovers, you don't wanna miss this. Each bite of this frozen goodness has a rich taste of matcha, plus the graham crust. Perfect dessert 128154128154128154

Curry hire katsu. Their meat is thinner than y--u's. Overall still 5/5. Lacks the fruit too.....

Had dinner with friends and all of us got their Rosu Katsu Set. It comes with unlimited Japanese rice, cabbage, and miso soup. The prices differ depending on the weight of the katsu. Affordable, IMO.

Quality-wise, let's just say I've had so much better. For one, their cabbage is too watery. It's like they drenched it in water, so when we pour the dressing on the cabbage, it did not sustain the consistency of the dressing. What was supposedly slightly thick became watery. As for the katsu, it was tender albeit a little bit dry. The breading also wasn't crunchy and separates from the pork itself. Rice was okay, though it wasn't authentic Japanese rice, I think.

Still, the interior was okay and the service was superb. Food was served with a smile and they were consistent in refilling our glasses of water and our plates.

Great customer service. Their prices are more reasonable. I like how the miso soup is also unlimited.

Paid a visit to some friends in Binondo and tried this tonkatsu place in LCM.

Got the Hire katsu set and I wouldn't recommend it. The concept was exactly the same with the other katsu places. The meal comes in a set complete with soup, rice, and unli salad except the katsu wasn't as tender as that of Yabu's or Ginza's.

It definitely doesn't belong to the ranks of Yabu 128542

Had lunch here after a long day of shopping in Divisoria. I had the katsu and ebi set. I'm on a no-rice diet so the unli cabbage which I sprinkled with their Asian dressing filled me instead. The pork was tender and I loved how crispy it was. Quite pricey though.

Their katsudon was surprisingly tasty to the bottom of the bowl. I seldom get that anymore anywhere... Sheldon G got their katsu-curry and liked it a lot, too.

Service was great because they kept on checking on us if we needed anything.

I really dont like this restaurant, but since they share the space with Italianni's, we ended up here.

My dad loves the green tea dessert here and has been racing about how good it was. I tried a small bite, and it tasted like green tea brazo de mercedes! Yummy! 128077128077128077 wish the graham crust was more firm though.

Lucky Chinatown is a huge lifesaver for people who want to go to Divisoria -- there's parking and good food. 128522

After doing errands, I was so hungry and craving for rice so tonkatsu it is! We got a Jumbo Rosu Katsu set which I shared with my mom. Di daw nya mauubos kasi so we opted to share. At first, was sad pa thinking 'ay bitin ako' but good thing we shared! Was really full after coz I munched on all the cabbage I could get. The pork was tasty though it ain't Yabu pr Saboten level but okay na.

This resto is beside Italianni's, at first we couldn't decide whether to go to Tonkatsu or at Italianni's but we were told we can order from both restos. Cool!

The service was superb, cute pa yung waiters haha! They were so attentive and gladly refilled our water, cabbage and miso soup without being asked. 128077

If you're looking for a place to eat real yummy katsu, I'd highly recommend you go to Tonkatsu in Lucky Chinatown Mall. Price wise they're not on the cheap side, but compared to other restaurants serving the same dish -- they have bigger serving size! Not only do they serve one of the best, if not the best, Katsu -- their service is also AWESOME!!! Thumbs up for Tonkatsu LCM128077128077128077

Tonkatsu is a sister company of Italianis, under Bistro group of companies.

I asked for their softest and chewiest katsu that they have and the server suggested I should get their Hire Katsu and agreed but the one with prawns.

And I'm like "Pinakamalambot na to?" Lol. The katsu is not as soft as Yabu's and definitely not as tasty. Pero ngunit subalit bumawi naman sila sa prawns! Oh wow it is sooo good. The taste is very authentic, breading is not thick and you can see that it is really made from sugpo and not from some pretentious shrimps.

Unli cabbage salad is also good but not as good as again Yabu's as it is not shredded so I ate some of it in wholes. Miso Soup is also delicious and unlimited same goes with the brown rice.

Went here on their soft opening a few months ago when my daughter was craving for Yabu since it was only 10 steps away (exaggeration much?) from our house.

Oroshi? Katsu- just okay
Miso Katsu- The sauce tasted like a really salty barbecue sauce and the meat was 40% fat. 128078
Their miso soup had carrots and other random veggies instead of tofu and seaweed. 128532

Service was good though, for a restaurant that's still on its soft opening. Maybe I'll come back when I'm not in the mood to wait for Yabu. 128522

This is the first time I'm trying Tonkatsu but since I already ate lunch and my friends are here, decided to just get a dessert.

Ordered this Frozen Green Tea cake and you know what is my initial reaction? WOW!!!!!! This is just so good!!!!!!!!!! Sobra!!!! The top part is like whipped cream, next to it is the frozen green tea ice cream, the third layer (the best part) is I think yema which blends well with the matcha flavor and bottom part is part is crystalized sugar and graham cracker.

I seriously suggest everyone to try this out. This will be my new comfort dessert. I actually thought of giving them 4 stars because of the slow service and that half way through my cake my friend saw a strand of hair caught from the inside (ibig sabihin hindi ko niplantahan ah!) and called the attention of the manager and voila!!! Another whole Frozen Green Tea cake for me. Hahahah (hindi ako natinag sa buhok sa sobrang sarap!)

Yabu is still the best! Their pork cutlet had fat on the sides too which i'm really not a fan of. Though I like their cabbage dressing that's color yellow (not really sure what its called) .
