Was looking for a nice bread to go with my coffee since it's been raining lately. Last Thursday decided to check their available bread selection.

I got:

| Dark Chocolate Pan Bread 127838 127838127838
(88php) the bread was big, but I find it dry. It wasn't too sweet which I like, but would've been better if it's a bit moist.

| Soboro 127838127838127838127838127838 (38php)
This is a classic Korean snack originated from German Streusel bread. I liked this one, perfect for coffee. 128076

The staff who assisted me was really nice. Will defo come back fir more Soboro. 10084️️

The only times I've bought bread products here were during their nightly 9:30 pm 50% discount deals. The bread products were terrific, good ingredients were obviously used.

A family friend was so kind to give us this cake.

I don't know what is this called, but the taste is familiar to Goldilocks' mocha cake? Hehe. 9786️ The sweetness is just light, but I find it a bit dry.

Cute cake appearance tho. 128523

Before heading home, we bought some pastries here. The place was very nice. You can even stay long because they have their drinks and table where you can chill. The staffs were kind too and even helped us picked what to buy.

Macarons. I have always drooled over them. Of course, with its variety of colors and flavors, who would not? You can make endless combinations of macarons. Long ago it wasn't available in the Philippines, but all of that changed when Tous Les Jours opened its doors in Manila, Philippines way back in 2011. I was so ecstatic they did and tasted my first macaron there.

Tous Les Jours is a french term that means "Everyday", but the bakery is pure Korean that adopts the baking techniques and styles of French pastries.

Three years down, as I was walking down the strip of stores along the Araneta-Cubao area, my eyes caught something glimmering inside a glass window. The array of colors would make any girl swoon over them. Like my three years ago self, I was magnetized bybthe store and hovered in to purchase some macarons as if it would help me reminisce the first time I had them.

They sell in sets of 5 in either any flavor or of the same flavor. I bought the normal De Paris flavors and the Premium ones as well. I also wanted the tin macaron case, but you have to purchase that for an extra Php175.00 (Pesos). It wasn't really worth it so I left with the 10 pieces macarons and a Sweet Black Rice bread with cream cheese.

The De Paris flavors:
Strawberry, Chocolate, Vanilla, Mango, and Green Tea

The Premium flavors:
Korean Berry, Korean Maple, Green Apple, Grape, and Blueberry

In the Philippines they replaced the Korean Berry with Raspberry and Korean Maple with Mocha. This is according to the saleslady.

As for the taste, some flavors did not deliver ecstacy. For example, the chocololate flavor tasted pretty generic or cheap. The Green Apple was a tad aromatic. The Mango didn't taste like mango at all. Although my friend liked the Chocolate much. My favorites are the Raspberry, Blueberry, Green Tea and Mocha. Also, the filling was really substantially thin. The Bingo/cream-o cookie even had more filling than these macarons. I was really disappointed it did't live up to my expectations from before.

But with that being said, I did love love love the bread. It was really soft and the cream cheese filling oozed into my mouth at every bite.

Would I buy the Macarons again? Yes, but just my prefered flavors. Bread? Definitely, as all their breads are soft.

It is a cafe so you can also dine in there. They also serve drinks. For more pictures, you can visit my Facebook page or Google+. I have pictures of their cute cakes!

I decided to buy a very special cake for my grandmommy that is not too sweet cause I'm a health freak when it comes to family so I searched for one on the internet before going out. I found a review about this place and got this out of it. The cake is beautifully and very well done that my granny didnt even want to cut it out! 128540 it's so cuteeeeee. The cake is not that sweet, the only sweet part is the cake bread itself whatever you call it. Inside it are real strawberries imported from Korea (they said) hehe. The white part tho at the top of the strawberry doesn't really taste nice I think it's for presentation purpose only. I'll try their chocolate cake best seller next time! But for the health freaks and strawberry lovers out there, give this a try 128077 their prices are affordable too :-)

Its sad because Tous cakes and breads are actually good, but then again you can never really have it all right?

I have tried other macarons and even french bakers are actually to die for so I was actually looking forward trying out theirs, heres the verdict

- Too sweet, you cant define strawberries from vanilla.
- The green one, I was expecting it to be pistachio flavored but it taste like Pandan.
- It doesn't have that "melts in your mouth" factor.

I was really disappointed 128528

The place looks cozy, breads look yummy. But I'd say they're OKAY. You taste the muffins, they sell cakes too. They'll be opening up a branch in SM Megamall soon

So far the cheapest macaron I have tried. Each macaron is priced at P28. I was a bit disappointed by the taste. I had the chocolate macaron, the filling was not that sweet and the meringue was not that soft. Plus point on the presentation though. 128522

Who wouldn't buy this cake?
Trivia time:
(Too le joo) - means everyday 128077

Design wise their cakes are the type that you would have a hard time slicing. Why? You won't want to ruin that design? Who will slice a bear? 127775

Price : for the effort put in to it and the lettering , i'd say i'll give it another 127775, 498 pesos

The cake:
Meh, i really was expecting a lot after slicing the cake. Maybe we set our expectations too high. Cake was ok,128532 for a sponge cake its decent. (Parang chiffon ng goldilocks) tad dry and we cant find the belgian chocolate goodness in there. So its 1/3 127775

Would love to try their other cakes but after having a bite its now meh. 128531 i'd rather buy red ribbon cakes.

Finally! A newly opened branch in Cubao!! 128588

Can't help but admire the interiors of this bakery 128525 Feels like I'm in a different world when I entered the store 128523

As a TLJ first-timer, I tried their Croque Monsieur (P98) since it's their best-seller daw. The sandwich was huge and it was just yummy to look at since the front side was covered with cheese 128525 Took a bite, and fell in love with it 128525 It was really cheesy and the ham was also good too 128076 The bread had hints of sweetness too. But i just didn't like the sides of the sandwich since it was a bit hard to chew (what do you call those? Crust ba?128514) hehe.

Looking forward to try more from TLJ!! 128522 And their cakes are so lovely to look at too 128525
