Was looking for a cake for my niece's birthday and saw this one. Php 638. The smile on my niece's face and the taste made the price worth it.

Love that it wasn't too sweet for my taste.

Whenever we have birthdays in the family. We always buy our cakes here. Their cakes are cute and unique. One of my favorite is their Belgian Coated chocolate cake, White chocolate Cake (christmas edition) and that super cute Bear cakes. Aside from their cakes, they have different kinds of breads, but what I love the most is their macarons and their heart shaped cookies! I used to get it for free when I buy cake, then I notice they have different freebies every month. Bagles, bean breads, cookies, every month they have something to give out! Also, they have birthday or i love you candles to pair it with their cakes, you'll find it in their counter. They also have free candles and slicer for the cake. 128522

Got this Rich Chocolate Cake for my daughters bday a year ago (super late review), we kinda liked it because the design is so unique, unlike the other traditional cakes in the metro. Although a bit expensive for its size. But what i liked the most is their korean bread which is the sweet black ricebread w/ black sesame cream cheese. If your a fan of cream cheese you must grab one. The dough is like a mochi bread full of cream cheese and crushed sesame seeds.

Cakes are fancy, but aren't so yummy. They just look really pretty and inviting.

Finally got to sample macarons from Tous les Jours. Tried their Dark Cherry and Blueberry. Nothing fancy. I liked the simple sweet taste but couldn't really distinguish between cherry and blueberry. I think I was expecting a little bit more. My iced Americano added a bitter contrast but wasn't any better than the macarons.

Still a nice treat though after a half day of walking around the mall doing errands!

TLJ! Gave this store another try. Only got their Macarons last time and they weren't impressive. So I opted for their bread.

Sweet Black Rice Bread with Black Sesame Cream Cheese! Take a look at the photo! It was hallow inside! Yes the bread was soft and I liked the filling, the lingering taste of cream cheese and sesame seeds that was typical of Korean pastry but I can't accept that it was just filled with air inside. 128553128555128534 Could have been better if it was full.

I also got their milk bread. Same soft bread that was hallow inside but the filling was weird! It wasn't creamy in consistency, it was more curdy and tasted as if the milk was near being spoiled. I don't know. Could be just my taste buds.

I'm a bread kind of person but so far, TLJ is not something I would go back to.

The first time I saw Tous Les Jours in SM South Mall, I was excited. You know, the bread lover in me was giddy. As soon I stepped in, I saw some familiar looking bread- a bread slice with egg on top and red bean bun. I looked around and checked on their other selection and went out without buying anything. My hubby was stunned - knowing that I can't resist bread. I just knew they were a Korean Franchise without researching what so ever about them.

You see, there is this Korean Bakeshop in BF that's open 24/7. We've been there couple of times before and most of what they sell were also available in Tous Les Jours. It's not as if I had a bad experience with their selection but I guess I was hoping for more from Tous.

Anyhow... In the quest to find everyday "baon" for my Cherienne, she saw Tous Les Jours and dragged me in. She ignored all other products and spotted the colorful Macaron de Paris. Hold up wallet alert! Gah! She wanted them so bad and gave me her most cutiepatootie please so I gave in.

5 pieces of Premium Macarons for 195php! 39php each - expensive baon! I liked the clear plastic container of the Macarons, decorated with a Tous Les Jour ribbon. The following day, I had Cherienne take all 4 to school leaving me with just one. Good thing when she got home, she had another one left!

The Macarons were thick and I don't know if that was a good thing or not. They didn't have the heavenly goodness of those from Chez Karin. They were also too sweet and you won't even distinguish the flavor of each color. Then the filling - too thin and again, overly sweet. If you'll get the chance to really taste the filling, you'll get a candy like flavor.

I'm not a Macaron expert, alright. I only had Chez Karin and Empire so far. These from Tous Les Jours were not impressive but they can suffice if you want cheaper ones.

Anyhow, the little girl liked them. They're sweet, what can I do? 128518128513128541

Cute cake for less than P600.

Bought this for my father-in-law who's celebrating his 70th birthday - for being young at heart 128522

Light, airy, not too sweet, and no umay at all. 128077

Cream cheese pastry 128077
Soft, sweet, cheesy pastry. I liked it!
My daughter liked it too! I'm very happy she enjoyed a new food. First, she told me it looked good and wanted to try it (she seldom initiate tasting new food). She wasn't able to finish it because she just had her dinner but she liked it!

Almond croissant 128077
This is a little sweet too, with filling inside. It reminded me of spanish bread (that we used to buy in panaderia). Maybe because of the filling. But really good too!

I've also tried their cake during my brother-in-law's birthday. T'was good, not too sweet.
