So sorry for the pic. It was dark in there 128517

Pancit molo soup and sisig!!! 128525128525128525 super namiss ko toh. We also got the calamares and binagoongan and kangkong but I forgot to take pics. Sorry!

My faves were the soup, sisig, and calamares. Yummy!!! The soup was a milky one, with molo and scallions. The sisig - their bestseller - was on fleek 128518 simple lang but really delicious. And it's never changed taste-wise. Calamares was chewy and well-spiced but the kick was the mayo; tangy and sweet at the same time. Best with iced tea or mango shake 128077

Whenever we pass by this place, my parents would always reminisce about their younger years and how this place was an institution in the area. My dad always mentions how good their sisig was so of course I had to try it!

It's an open air place with plenty of seats but not enough parking to match the place's capacity. People often go here to drink which explained why it was busy for a Sunday night (long weekend.)

Our orders were:
Gambas
- their Gambas is tomato-based and not al ajillo as I usually like it. The shrimps were cooked well and the green and red peppers added tons of flavor to the dish.

Sizzling Sausage
- I believe they used Hungarian sausage for this and it was very delicious. The peppery sausages had a hint of heat and they really went well with rice.

Sisig
- I was a bit disappointed with this not because it was a bad dish but I found it to be average at best. I did end up finishing most of it though but I've had better

Good old Trellis. Speciality is sisig which has the right balance of crunch, pepper pork flavor with rich goodness. Liempo was bland, sadly. Salpicao had the right amount of spice and was a good balance. For the first time in a long time, I saw barely anyone else use their phone and just talk and laugh with each other. I wish my generation would do that more.

Last time I was here was maybe 2-3 years ago. It's been around since the 80s.

Although their Sisig was good, I still prefer mine crispy/toasted. Next time will ask them to toast them a bit.

The Pinakbet was okay too, serving good for maybe 3 persons, had generous pork & small shrimp pieces. Only comment is that it had more sitaw vs the other veggies.

Service was fast and friendly. 128077

Trellis is very famous restaurant when it comes to Filipino dishes. This is also a great place for family gatherings because of the very homey ambiance it has and the food is good. I ordered Sizzling Sisig (P176) because it is their Specialty and they were known because of that signature dish. The place still has its comfortable ambiance but the light is a lot dimmer maybe because a lot of people made this place as a casual bar instead of a casual dining restaurant during dinner time. When my Sizzling Sisig was served, it still has its original portion, it is still good for sharing. I put the condiments already (calamansi, hot sauce, and soy sauce) then mixed it all together. I was referred by Rufina C to join the #loolooiPhone6giveaway!

Trellis is a classic. It's been years since I was last here. You'd underestimate this place when you see it from the outside but you would love the ambiance once you're in. Their Filipino dishes were yummy as always. They already serve combo meals and I had their Lechon kawali selection. It was served with kangkong, mushroom soup and iced tea for 160php. I think it was reasonably priced since their lechon kawali was cooked perfectly. Plus I really loved their relaxing ambiance that goes well with their equally satisfying dishes.

I wasn't expecting much since it doesn't look impressive on the outside. I initially thought it was a carenderia, being gloomy and small. But I was shocked when I entered the place. It was big and the food was delish. Their sisig and tuna belly are superb. The service was fast and the waiters are nice. Their restrooms are far though, especially if you're seated near the entrance. If you're already tipsy from drinking, better ask a friend to accompany you. Overall, a really enjoyable experience.

I had mixed emotions when we dined in. I was expecting for a one of a kind Filipino food treat but somehow, I can only rate it as.. okay. Okay lang, so to speak.

The place was kinda dark. I teased my friend that it was a good thing we wont order fish at baka matinik pa kami.

We ordered pinakbet which was dry for me.. Then I was told that their best seller is some kind of crispy pork with bagoong balayan. It was bland for me.

The service staff was not so okay as well. Too sluggish, para na silang tinatamad eh, huddling in one area, leaning on the tables.

Honestly, it wasnt what I expected. Okay lang.. Would I come back? Hmmmm.. Im sure there are other restos worth the money and effort.

A hidden gem in QC! 10084

This restaurant has truly stood the test of time! The quality hasn't wavered in all it's years of service! Sobrang cheap place to drink! Very affordable sisig and salpicao! But my fave is still the beef nachos! Big serving of dripping cheesy goodness for under P200!

Had lunch at the breezy Trellis. Place was cool since it had plants, trees and numerous fans (ceiling/stand). Pretty much serene and quiet since no background music was played so the irate drivers horns can be heard nearby. Chairs were wooden so seats were not that comfy. Serving time was a bit lengthy. Tuna belly was good, better with the sauce. For this critic, best sisig is found at Gerry's and the defunct Giligans in Trinoma. So far the sisig here did not match it. Big surprise was the chicken (mini drumstick). Not as crunchy as Ybarrdo's (not sure if its still open, one of the biggest and crunchiest chicken lollipops this rater has tasted) but was very yummy. Skin was soft but once you've eaten it one would really be in awe for its distinct taste. Iced tea was refreshing.

Prices were very affordable considering the huge portions (less than P1k for 3 people ate with refillable iced tea, fish, sisig and chicken) Waiters were not that tedious in attending to the customers. Bill tool quiet some time to be handed out. In summary, a nice place to dine for the scrumptious food and green scenery if your willing to be patient with the servers.

Trellis was the first restaurant where I first tasted sizzling sisig. My family and I went here so many times before until a lot of restaurants have sprung.

I went back here one time and ordered their famous sisig. The taste was okay but this time I like a different sisig now. I have realized that I like the crunchy type of sisig more than Trellis'sisig.

One of the best places to eat sisig. You'll get no chicharon which lots of restos are fond of placing on their sisig nowadays (look at sisig hooray) and there's no mayonnaise in it which rip-off sisigs are famous for. Just the good ole' pure pork sisig goodness I love.

Don't miss out on their pakbet too!

Diet buster. Darn.
