My friend celebrated her birthday last Saturday night by throwing off a gig with about 10 bands playing from different music genres, ranging from punk rock and hardcore to some metalcore, brutal death metal and grindcore bands. It was obviously raining when I came in and the place was like those venues I used to go to back in my heavy metal age aka college days, whenever we had a gig.
The place was a bit small, but not bad at all since it's spacious. It actually looks like an old studio that's been renovated and put on some tables & chairs. Their food and drinks were priced just right. I never had any food since I was still full, but one of my friends tried their silog meals and thought it was good. I just had few bottles of beer to accompany me while watching the bands play live. The sound system was okay but their cymbals were in bad condition. Good thing, some of the bands brought theirs just to avoid hassles.
Overall, it was a good place for small gigs, especially for the mainstream music (playing pop or acoustic sets) and could be for punk/hardcore scene, but not for the metal bands. There are so many glitches and hiccups especially if you're playing extreme metal music (black metal, death metal, etc) which will surely create an annoying twang at the entire set.
