Dropped by to check out their milkshakes that my friend kept raving about. The place is actually a burger joint, though. I scanned through their menu and found their burgers rather pricey. I mean, the cheapest, plainest beef burger was at 170 pesos! Burger meals were 250 to 300+ pesos. 128565

Maybe I'll try their burgers next time, to see if they're worth their prices. But for now, this review is for their milkshakes! We had their strawberry and blueberry milkshakes (120 pesos small, 170 pesos regular cup). We waited for a bit and then our milkshakes were ready! Took one sip and was transported into milkshake heaven!! 128525 So rich, thick and creamy! Even the whipped cream on top seemed heavy and added to the flavor. No watered-down milkshakes here! Plus, there were real, big frozen fruit chunks in the cups. They definitely didn't scrimp on the ingredients and quality. I can only hope that it's the same case with their burgers.

Had the Original burger and it was really good! Fries were too salty so next time I'll ask them to go easy on the salt. Highlight of my visit was the Vanillla milkshake! P120 for the small size, which was so filling anyway. Sooooo good. Better than other vanilla milkshakes I've tasted. 128077

Ordered their 3-Cheese Pasta for my little boy. Thought it was pricey at P145 since it was a fast food, but I was mistaken. The pasta's sauce tasted so fresh and was a far cry from the usual (sweet) fast food spaghetti. Can't wait to try their burgers and shakes next!

Lucky to have gone here on a Tuesday! -- free upsize of fries and drinks :p

Tried their original burger. The patty's good. Although I'm not sure if it's worth the price... Hehe.

Got the burger with cheese combo. Burger patty is bland, buns plain, sauce a bit on sour side. Nothing special. Not worth the 300++ I paid for. Not going back.

Top Specimen - Jollibee's Champ
Bottom Specimen - Triple-O's Original with Cheese (challenger)

Tried this new fast food joint to see what they offer and to check the 'value' they give since they ask for a hefty price tag for a fastfood. (200 pesos for the very basic burger in the menu)

Verdict - the burger was big, but more on the fluffy bun. It tasted bland and the sauce didn't give much flavor, it was just like a drop that was in there. It also leaves a very bad after taste in every bite.

Hurriedly bought the champ the day after to repair my taste buds :D yum!

For the same price, go for Chili's burgers or Cafe Breton's. For fastfood, Still the Champ or the Quarter Poinder tops this.

Apologies in advance since I'm the first reviewer. Other people might have a different opinion. This is my honest one - take it with a grain of salt.

Imported burgers from Canada, eh? Consider me not impressed.

I tried their Monty Mushroom burger (php310 aka carte, 390 with fries and a small coke) The patties are dense, flat, flavorless discs of what's supposedly Canadian beef. But considering these are GM corn-fed cows, I'm not trying them again anytime soon. Mushrooms and cheese are of the usual. The special sauce isn't anything either, tastes like the usual ketchup and mayonnaise your mom makes. There're no sesame seeds on the bun to add some texture.

All in all, this is a disappointing imported franchise. If you're gonna try to break into the local burger market, at least try to top the Jollibee Champ or Tropical Hut ones. Those are at the baseline everyone should aspire to meet. Then the premium and high-end burgers are on a whole other plane altogether.

Maybe they should've brought back Carl's Jr. instead?
